  1. He sucks also. Can't throw from the pocket which you need to do in NFL.
  2. Good QB coach though.
  3. I don't know if what DD is saying is true or if he has any sources BUT you are simply posting about the legal tampering period for teams to talk to free agent PLAYERS. There is absolutely no rule that forbids TEAMS from talking TO OTHER NFL TEAMS about their own players to each other. Barring another franchise tag, Kirk Cousins is still Redskins property until free agency starts.
  4. There is not a rule against teams talking trades with other organizations. You just can't talk to players. Teams talk year round.
  5. Colts trading Luck would have more to do with an untenable situation between Luck and the owner than it would the Colts trying to fleece a team for draft picks with an injured player. The Colts wanted him to play this year. If he is on the block, line up and put in your best offer. I could see it getting very messy there. Colts owner is crazy
  6. We were in bad cap shape before this past off-season.
  7. Can we trade for Pat Shurmur instead?
  8. Cousins has shown he can run an offense if surrounded with some talent. The Bills have the cap room and draft picks to add cheap players to offense. You ride with Cousins for a couple years. Better than what we've been doing IMO
  9. Are you Mike Sullivan? LOL
  10. I kind of like the Cousins idea with all the cap room and early picks we have. We currently have about 54 million of free cap next year and that includes almost 20 mil for Taylor. Could surround him with weapons and wait for a talented but developmental type QB to drop to us in another less hyped draft year, a la Bridgewater/Jimmy G/Carr. It'll be big money but it's not a lifetime contract. We have can take an offensive player in each of the first 3 rounds and still add 2 starters on D.
  11. Would be a terrible hire. Would rather keep Dennison. Giants offense is a complete **** show and has regressed over the last 3 years. You would not need to give this guy a AHC title to get him here. Also, this guy might be from California but has coached in NY/NJ for a long time so he doesn't strike me as a left coast guy. This sounds like Scott Linehan to me, DAL OC. His specialty is the passing game. Very experienced. Dallas could clean house and finally move on from Garrett. He's spent his career mostly out west, the south, or Miami. Has the credibility/experience to warrant an AHC title.
  12. He was the best defensive mind in NFL history before he was ever hired in NE. He could have retired after the Super Bowl against the Rams and walked into the Hall of Fame. All Brady did for Belichek was set the bar ridiculously high for someone else to be called the greatest HC of all time.
  13. Tyrod for sure. Dennison is 50/50. They obviously have a mold/style in mind in the offense they want to run in that Mike McCoy, Greg Olson, Brad Childress, and Rick Dennison all run a similar base offense. If they can back-channel Mike McCoy now that he is fired and McDermott convinces him to come here, I think they fire Dennison. However, if I'm Mike McCoy, I am waiting to see who else gets fired and what jobs come open because he could potentially be looking at the following options based on who is getting fired as HCs and OCs: Bears OC - gets to coach a young, talented QB in Trubisky Raiders OC - they might be firing Todd Downing after one season; gets to coach Carr; gets to coach against both the Chargers and Broncos Browns OC - who knows what is happening here, but if they clean house, he's looking at coaching a #1 ovr QB with a big money investments in the OL, and a potential star WR. Colts OC- Andrew Luck Giants OC - same as Browns but without the solid OL Bucs OC - Jamies Winston, Mike Evans Bills OC - no QB and we are not guaranteed getting a top QB in this draft when McCoy has to decide on a job. And to those saying that he took the Denver job with no QBs there - Lynch was a 1st round pick last year, Semien looked competent last year, and everyone thought Romo was going there. I just don't see him or anyone taking this job with no solid answer/prospect at the QB position. Greg Olson took a QB coach job on the Rams staff rather than come to Buffalo as OC. It is obvious that nothing is going to happen with this offense until there is some clarity on the QB position, which leads me to believe that Dennison will be here another year as he runs the style of offense that McDermott wants. I don't particularly think that McDermott is tied to Dennison, but at the moment there might not be any better option. Long story short: Get a QB.
  14. I'm pretty interested to see what LA does with Watkins. He's a hard player to evaluate contract wise because the production hasn't matched the talent as far as being one of top WRs in the NFL, and he is now playing in a high powered passing offense so he doesn't have that excuse right now, although this is only year one in this system. I could see the Rams simply Franchise Tag him to see what kind of player he is with a full offseason/training camp in LA. They have to sign Trumaine Johnson long term, and get a new contract for Donald done soon, so I could see where it makes sense to push that long term contract decision down another year.
  15. Goodwin is in an offense that actually throws the ball to WRs. I'm sorry but we just cannot properly evaluate most of these guys until we get a QB that can operate in a real offense. I don't know how people cannot see how remedial our passing game is. We are 30th in pass attempts Jordan Matthew had over 100 targets in each of his three years in PHI. He has 36 this year. He averaged a 65% catch rate in PHI. His catch rate this year is 69.4%. He averaged 11.8 yards per reception in his three years in PHI. He right around that this year at 11.3. Extrapolate out his totals for this season for 100 targets and he would have about 65-70 catches, 750-800 yards, and 4-5 TDs.
  16. Not trying to be snarky - Are you watching him throw or just looking at his stats? He plays with FAR less WR talent than anyone else mentioned here and he is not playing a QB-friendly system like Mayfield, Rudolph, Falk, Jackson, etc. Carson Wentz threw in the low 60% in this offense in div 2 CFB. Allen is throwing mid 50% in div 1. His accuracy is fine.
  17. The whole crux of the assessment is also based on the fact that he is similar to Taylor which just shows that whoever made this statement is just not following the situation here.
  18. The third best QB(Josh Allen) is a great QB prospect who likely would have been the 1st QB taken last year. It is not unrealistic to think that the Bills would be able to swing a trade with either the Colts, Browns(they have the Texans 1st), 49ers, Bucs, or Bears, all of whom will be picking in the top 10, with a great chance that the Bears, 49ers, and Colts are in the top 5. Those 3 teams will absolutely be looking for extra draft picks after making trades for QBs(49ers, Bears) or having needs at literally every position besides QB(Colts).
  19. If you put Mason Rudolph and Baker Mayfield together, you would have a top 5 QB prospect. Not so much. I think Allen has been the target since day 1. If they can get a shot at the other two top guys, it's gravy.
  20. Rudolf has too weak of an arm to be a 1st round pick. IMO, as a prospect, he is a taller Peterman. McBeane strikes me more of the type that will not reach in round one for a middling prospect based on need, a la Manuel or Losman. They will shoot their shot trying to get one of the top 3 guys or will bow out of the QB game completely this draft. It wouldn't surprise me if they trade out of one of those 1sts this draft to try to pick up a 1st in next year's draft if they fail to get the trade up that they want. Taking a Mayfield or Rudolf or Falk in round 1 would be forcing it IMO, and I don't think these guys are going to force that decision.
  21. Just say no to Air Raid QBs early in the draft, especially ones that are limited physically.
  22. If he gets a 1st round grade from the NFL draft committee, which I think he would, it would be a terrible decision. Too much can happen in a year in college to affect your draft stock. Staying in school to maximize your draft position and try to go #1 overall made sense before the rookie cap, but the $$ gained by doing it now is not worth the risk of injury or having a down year.
  23. No way these guys take Mayfield. They are positioning for a move for one of Rosen, Darnold, or Allen IMO. I think they are prepared to trade both 1sts and next year's 1st to do it. And they will have potential trade partners in the Colts, 49ers, Bears, Bucs, and Browns(Texans pick).
  24. It's less about his injury and more about the fact that he is being paid as a top 5 LT and he is not worth that much cap to be paid out to him. If they move him, it will 100% be about his salary.
