  1. Do you see Reggie as some kind of pivotal player, whose development is crucial to the success of this team?
  2. ?????? Jeff george was one of the least liked, douchey, me first, jak2zzes that ever played QB. He never won anything (did he ever win a playoff game, maybe one?), and he is now ancient.
  3. You know I looked up the stats, and Carters are a little bit more impressive, but I don't remember him impressing me near as much as Reed. He had great hands, and I was thinking maybe he was more of an intermediate receiver, but he has lots of long balls too. All I can say is that when I watch the Andre Reed touchdown compilations on Youtube he sure looks like a HOFer (ONLY TD's, there were some many great catches that he was just short of the endzone, and so many great catches over the middle that aren't on those reels!). I would like to see something like that made up of Carter's TD's, but no one has posted one.
  4. Has he mentioned McCargo at all? Didn't think so
  5. A good (maybe "competent" would be a better description) offense would improve the play of the defense more than just about anything else I can think of (a new scheme, or a star player, hard/soft coverage). I have mentioned it many a time, the defense has had no hope for years. It's tough to motivate guys to abuse their bodies defending a 2 touchdown deficit week in and week out (year in, year out?). They have been playing without any hope of winning because just about any effort is for naught. Defensive play depends on EMOTION.
  6. There shouldn't be anything else left to say about this subject. You laid it all out.
  7. I wanna see a "statement" cut. Some guy that has been collecting large paychecks and underperforming, or a guy that acts like a Jack. I expect it to happen in training camp, and it will send a great message.
  8. Maybe he is just a good actor, but even if that's all he's got it's way more inspiring to me as a fan than any presser DJ went through the motions of.
  9. The 3-4 was THE biggest complaint as I recall. Everyone insisted that the 3-4 was the reason the defense wasn't getting the job done. I think this debate is like the carpenter blaming his tools. The main reasons the Bills defense struggles is because it lacks talented players, and because the offense has sucked so bad they have had nothing to play for after game 4 each year, and they knew the offense couldn't score a TD.
  10. You want a link for that?! Okay, I will vouch for Billsfreak. Bobby Joe Herbert had the same kind of quotes, and at the time some people bought in.
  11. I wouldn't doubt that Gailey and Brohm would have more in common on a personal level. Both of them are from the South (some might not consider Kentucky the South, but they probably haven't been there), and it's a bit of a different wavelength. I'm not saying it's the most important factor, but it might well/could be a factor. Y'all
  12. I can't be sure of his motivations, but it will certainly kill the pain.
  13. Lots of players get hooked when they take them for injuries. Then it's just a lifestyle, because these guys are basically injured for the rest of their lives. It's no excuse for his poor play though, many good/great players have the same problem. Bret Favre comes to mind. It's way more common than the NFL wants the fans to know.
  14. The NFL is full of junkies (codeine is an opiate). They are all taking lots of painkillers in excess. Really.
  15. I don't know how anyone can be disappointed that we have that guy on the team.
  16. The team would still suck!
  17. It's the magic of the "Shout" song that compels the people! "Rout" might be more appropriate. I'm actually kinda offended that you think it's the song and not the fans. Trust me, Bills fans will find an outlet for their fervor, with or without "Shout".
  18. It's not the song my friend, it's the FANS!
  19. It's tired, awful, and something for middle-aged (and the middle-aged at heart) women to clap their hands to at Bills games. I know some of you have danced up and down the aisles with your grandma to this number, but it's time to let it go. Kinda like "The Charleston" or "The Lindy Hop". I wonder what some of the current players think about that song? They probably hate it.
  20. I think if the Bills improve enough to at least be competitive just about all the veterans will look much improved. If they have anything to play for after the 4th game of the season it would do wonders for "talent" levels. If the defense had any hope that the offense could score a touchdown, they likely wouldn't feel like their efforts are useless. "Go out there and break a leg for the coach" and "Go out there and play on that twisted ankle, here's a career threatening shot, we're only down by 20, and the offense hasn't scored a touchdown in 2 weeks". All these guys have been out of the running so early each season, that it's basically playing for personal stats and a paycheck.
