  1. Why do so many people think there is all this hidden talent on the Bills? It's wishful thinking that McCargo or Brohm, or Jokey Bell, or Levi Brown are actually special talents that the coaching staff is somehow holding back. If they can't stand out to the coaches on THIS team, they can't be that special. Just let it go.
  2. He was the guy turning every play into a checkdown. I think people are overrating his ability to help JAX. What's he going to tell them "Pick on Green, he is terrible"? Anyone watching some film of the Bills will know the weak links (if they can keep track of all of them) and strengths. He knows what plays they like to use in certain situations, but they don't have to be predictable. The Bills biggest enemy, no matter who they play, is themselves.
  3. Freddy is good. Unfortunately not good enough to make any real difference in this season's record.
  4. I rarely make moral judgements on this board, with the only possible exception being some Mike Vick posts. These posts have nothing to do with morality, they are really about judging, and offering opinions. Often the only appropriate reaction to the farcical situations that the Bills and their fans seem to end up in, is irreverence. I think I am being a realist. Not even one of the Bills players is from Buffalo, they have no reason to feel loyalty to the city. Given the history of the team for the last decade, any reasonable person would not want to be chosen by the Bills. That's not "self-loathing", that just understanding that from a players perspective, this is a bad organization to play for, and that seems to be something that SOME posters on this board don't understand (I don't know how they couldn't notice that, but some don't seem to).
  5. He is very talented. Yes, he can now concentrate on football instead of rushing home to beat, electrocute, and/or bury dogs. That's good. Thing is, that kind of behavior is psychopathic, and that doesn't go away. He will get into more trouble someday. Right now he might be shielded from authorities, but he can't help himself. I believe he has paid for the crimes we know about, and should be allowed to play in the NFL, I just don't believe he has learned any lessons. I would never want him on the Bills.
  6. Explain to me how that would be considered "self-loathing"?
  7. ???? So if they had gotten the first pick of the draft for Lynch but it turned out to be a bust then this trade would suck, but if the Bills hit the jackpot with one of these middle round picks it's a great trade? You wanna buy some real estate? I have a great deal for you! Send me a personal message, I really wanna work out a deal with you, and it's a no brainer!!!!!
  8. I'm so happy to be part of this thread. Some great ideas here. I think Jackson should have a quarterback number like Parrish. That'll throw Bill Belichick off. Wildcat + Statue of Liberty = Victory. Like the other guy said "That's smart football".
  9. Honestly, it's a joke!! If you were any of those guys (or anyone else on the team that isn't a borderline cut) aren't you hoping that the Bills trade you? It's almost motivation to suck. (I know the Bills can't get any value back for them...)
  10. If you played for these Bills, would you want to be traded? Yeah, me too.
  11. After that we can work on The Option Play, or maybe even the old "Statue of Liberty". I'm as excited about getting these plays down as you are! I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! to really see these Bills display all their talents! So much potential, they just have to find the right plays! Why not a Reverse, followed by a Double Reverse, then on third down (if they haven't scored already) maybe something simple like a fullback option pass back to the QB! AWESOME!
  12. This is the perfect time to get outta town! Trent and Marshawn pulled the right straws already, but which of these players will make their case to be traded before the deadline? I wish them all well and good luck!
  13. Yeah but Maroney was never suspended, and I don't think he has ever been arrested. Those two things are what really pushed Lynch's value down. He ws probably more valuable to the Bills than anything they could get for him. No one would give them anything for Fred Jackson either. They have just been bungling everything, but it is probably best that he is gone.
  14. You could be right. Who cares? If anything it's pathetic, certainly not anything to pull out this annoying emoticon for. What it means is the QB sucks so we have to resort to a gimmick.
  15. I don't even believe it's a fair measure to say that they have to win a Super Bowl to be a top shelf QB. Off the top of my head I would set the bar at say a playoff win in 3 separate seasons (career-wise). There might have been a joker or two that has managed that, but I think a QB had to have been pretty good to manage that. I'm not saying a team can't get some wins with an average guy, or that the Bills shouldn't have done better regardless of the QB fiasco's of the last decade, but not being able to find THE guy has really been detrimental, and it's hard to get the ball rolling without one. It's a BIG psychological factor. The current Bills KNOW, before the season starts, they are going nowhere. There is a reason why the Bills have had so many injured players during these terrible seasons (no it's not because Rusty Jones is gone). Each season is a pointless, mentally and physically painful exercise to play through. It's human nature. Really, what is the point for them to go out there on a bad knee, take the painkiller shot, rehab HARD, risk shortening an already short career, all to come back in time for the 12th game of the season when the record is 3-9? It's hardly motivating... These guys are beaten down, and it permeates the organization
  16. They are still looking for a QB. That's the most important player, and they haven't been able to fill that hole (no, I don't need to hear about getting an O-line first or "defense wins championships"). Many teams struggle after their franchise QB leaves, it's just that the Bill keep making the wrong choices concerning QB's (and plenty of other areas as well obviously). Some of the Bills teams in the past 10 years were good enough to make the playoffs if they had a top shelf QB at the time. The Bills haven't found one, and it has a huge effect on the psyche of the team. Really, aside from the Kelly years, this franchise has been nowhere, and it's not a coincidence that he is the only top shelf QB that they have had (Please don't interject with "Joe Ferguson!", I grew up watching him play. Not top shelf.)
  17. Gee, I heard that the Giants players are VERY disatisfied with Fewell, and that he is a the big problem with the defense (last nite not withstanding). It's not the DC, it's the players and the fact that the Bills have sucked for so long. They know the season is over, just like we do. They knew it BEFORE the Jets game.
  18. I don't believe anything he says. I'm sure he watched film at the facility with coaches, but didn't watch it at home. He is really just trying to distance himself from his past, letting us know how much he has grown. Groan.
  19. I have brought them up before. How many teams have fallen off the map after their big time QB has retired? How many teams have fallen off the map after their big time LT retired?
  20. Mckelvin, McGee, Whitner, Byrd, and unfortunately Maybin Spiller, Wood, Levitre, Evans, Fitzpatrick (he's a nice backup for depth)
  21. I agree that he is useless, but this game wasn't the least bit important to the Billys. It was obvious after losing the first 3 games that this season is a wash. l can't imagine that the players feel much urgency, I know I don't....
  22. You've been PAYING?!?!?! Silly boy, I stopped paying YEARS ago. I can't imagine what it feels like to pay for this!
