The words and phrasing you use is reminiscent of "Agent Speak" (buls#!t), and the steroid reference is funny-"some concern", what aspect are you concerned about, his inability to mask his use? There is something wrong with him. It might be physical, but more likely it is mental (often even more difficult to overcome). He's a d-bag, and he has been a huge headache to the Chargers Org.

This team needs all the PED connections they can get, and Merriman might know some "quality" dealers!

are we done talking about fitz!!
Geno Smith's Arm replied to 13player's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What you are talking about isn't "the will to win" (the guy has been taking on linebackers when he scrambles!). You are talking about being calm under pressure. Those are two completely different things. He needs more experiance. Yeah, but he has been playing surrounded by these Buffalo Bills. All this bickering. We will know (at least most will know ) whether Fitz has what it takes by the end of this season. -
The Bills "Starting Front 7"
Geno Smith's Arm replied to BillsPhan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think they suck because they aren't trying. I think the coaches believe they are trying too (Gailey mentioned this in the press conference, and even national media have commented on the Bills effort). They just aren't talented enough. Why does everyone get off on punishing the players? It's not going to equal more wins. Yes, I think it would be beneficial to get the backups in there, but not all at once. -

I agree. How soon they forget. This team struggled for YEARS just to get first downs. They are finally making progress on the offense and d-bags are talking about putting Brohm in. At least give Fitz the rest of this season. He is playing acceptably well, it's the O-line and defense that are the problem areas. They can't seem to remember what happened to that KC kick that was going straight, then abrupt went sideways. They are chronic complainers, more interested in hearing the lash of the whip than noticing improvements. -
"Boy, he sure would look good in a Bills uniform!" "Git-er Done Buddy!" "A guy like Moss would really help this team!" "I don't care if he is a jerk, the Bills could use his production!" "Can you imagine Brian Brohm (or Levi Brown) with a weapon like Randy Moss?!"

A Few Thoughts About The Game
Geno Smith's Arm replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All this seems obvious to me. Last year a first down was cause for celebration, and now they have started moving the ball through the air. Roscoe Parrish and Lee Evans actually have real roles in the offense. Just to have one aspect (the most important part, passing) working at a decentlevel is big progress as far as I'm concerned. The running game will get better, they have what, 10 months to work on it before it matters? -

More balance would be great, but right now I'm just happy to see them move the ball. THe run game will get better. Gailey is obviously more comfortable with the passing game, so that's where they are making strides. Passing is more important, I think, and more fun to watch. They aren't going anywhere. Sooner or later starts next year. There isn't much urgency. I'm more interested in finding out if Fitz can do the job, winning a handful of games this year with the running game won't mean much to me. A few games back they couldn't run OR pass. -

We're talking about the offense. You prefer last years offense? This year the offense is WAY better, and will improve. This years schedule has been much more difficult. They will win some games, then they can start improving the defense. -
A Few Thoughts About The Game

For the last few crappy seasons we have watched the Bills teams attempt to play ball control offense and they have sucked beyond my worst imaginings. Why question Gailey's offense at this point when they are finally moving the ball. They actually get first downs, and convert on 3rd down. That's a HUGE improvement. It looks like NFL football. I don't know why, with the limitations you mentioned, that this spread offense is works better, but to go back to trying to be ball control would be silly. At least they are now enjoyable to watch, give Gailey some time to take the next step to winning the games. He started with nothing. -

Because every time I have seen him play, he has made nothing happen, even in preseason. And his immobility in the pocket, I believe would lead to disaster behind this O-line. One could easily say "What about Levi Brown?", "What about HAMDAN??" Did you get enough Hamdan to KNOW FOR SURE that he can't be the next Tom Brady? What has Brohm done that has impressed you so much? -
What does CJ Spiller have to do to be Jamaal Charles?

One guy has holes to run through, the other guy is looking for holes to run through. Guess which guy is which? -

BROHM? Your crazy! Fitz has completely turned the offense around after YEARS of virtually no offensive production using basically the same guys that the other Bills QB's have had. Brian Brohm would s#!t all over the field if he was put in. -

Is this Brohm talk for real? Why are you leaving out Levi Brown? Levi is the REAL unknown! He is ready to tear up the league and he might never even get a chance! Hamdan too!, we never really had a chance to see him work his magic. Makes me think of what might have been with Gary Marangi! There have been so many Hall of Famer type guys that are just left languishing on the bench. A travesty! Oh well, at least me and you know where the true talent lies. Good eye man! -

It's not Fitz, he is making things happen, and hopefully with more experience he will cut down on the mistakes. The O-line is still BAD. And the defense is a joke. -
They aren't good enough to do that. The O-line is terrible at run blocking. Fitz is the key to the whole offense. He has transformed them (I don't even think he is that great, but they have been so bad for so long,) and the offense has done a 180, and players like Parrish and Evans that have been stagnant are actually getting a chance to make plays. Let Fitz do his thing, and hope he gets better as he gets more experience. Yeah, well prior to this I have been watching a team that hadn't had a 300 yrd passing day for YEARS! I appreciate the change VERY MUCH! Yes they suck, but they are bearable to watch, and if it's going to take some games like these to get the team headed in the right direction I won't complain!!!!
-
I think Fitz is a better player than Jackson, and I would rather let him win/lose the game than Jackson. I think the Bills are a better passing team than a running team. I have no problem with what Gailey did.
-
Jamaal Charles came into the game averaging 6 yds per carry! I can only guess that went up today.
-
Is Derrick Brooks still in shape? Darryl Talley? Does Lawrence Taylor want to play afew games before he goes to the penitentiary? There HAS to be someone out there better than Kelsay.
-
Because he is nothing special. He is not the kind of back that a team rides all day to victory. He is a nice 2nd back/backup.
-
The Bills have become better at passing than running. Thank God, they are finally bearable to watch.
-
I was thinking the opposite. I think Jackson is mediocre and with a bad run blocking line he was looking less than mediocre.
-
Is it possible that Kelsay is a locker room mole? A guy that reports to management what is going on among the the players? Does anyone know what the free agent market for linbackers will be like after this season?
-
We will know by the end of the season if he is capable. He seems to be learning each time (I realize that could sound ridiculous). Let him experience these situations, and by the end of the year he might be much better at (here comes the cliche) managing the game. I am open to Fitz now. God, I hope this put s to rest that it was the O-lines fault that Edwards sucked. They need a couple lineman, and it's actually the run blocking that is bothering me now. Maybe it's just because I was watching KC pick up 10 yards a carry, but the Bills backs were doing it on their own.

Buffalo News Vote For Worst Player In The NFL
Geno Smith's Arm replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sullivan is a jerk. His whole schtick is to be as abrasive as possible, and to kind of voice the opinion of what he imagines to be the common Buffalonian fan. He knows if he complains about things like the salaries of the players, he can count on having some readers. He has been almost wholly negative about the Bills, even during the Kelly-Era. He rarely offers any insight into things like strategy, or philosophical approaches to the game, he merely criticizes decisions with hindsight.
