  1. Yeah, but now that the people already have them, how many more can he sell? I think Pozis alright, but at his level of play,he should be the 4 fourth best linebacker on the team. In other words, the other 3 linebackers need to be better than poz. he just makes the cut.
  2. Hahaha I have often thought the same thing
  3. Santa and the Easter Bunny are next.
  4. I hate to say it, but McKelvin reminds me a bit of Derrick Burroughs. A nice talent, but not real sharp. Burroughs made some bad decisions that cost the Bills dearly, and I can see McKelvin playing that role in the future.
  5. Some people like the role of "Mister Hard to Impress". They like to come across like they have higher standards than the "common fan". Yeah, it would be easy to wait until they are a playoff team to say " I like these guys", but others like yourself are noticing (way before the hard nuts) that this team is on the right track.
  6. I am almost happy that these things are happening NOW, as opposed to next season. The thing that is so impressive about this team (I credit Gailey) is that the seem to LEARN from their mistakes. SJ needed to be humbled. And it seems like Gailey is developing a real relationship with the players., and these situations are really a chance for the team to see if the coach means what he says, and vice-versa. This is the PERFECT time for them to learn from these situations. They aren't going to the playoffs, so they need to make the most of this season.
  7. This won't be the same team next year. It should be more fined tuned, with players that suit the identity they are starting to take on. I hope they sign a veteran defensive player from a Super Bowl winner this off-season, a guy from a team like the Steelers, Pats, or Colts. I think they need someone like that to boost the leadership.
  8. They are already out of the playoffs and he has them playing hard AND the whole team is trying to IMPROVE. No coasting! This is just so much better than anything the Bills have done for about 10 years. Working on getting better. The teams in the past just seemed to write off each season after week 6 or so, and there would be no improvement.
  9. I don't dispute this. What I dispute is that the Bills were somehow a poorly run franchise BECAUSE they passed on Vick, when other well run operations did the same. Am I wrong?
  10. There weren't many takers for Mike Vick. Plenty of successful organizations said "no thanks". I realize that laying it all out in a fairly reasoned way makes your opinion seem to hold water, but Vick was having a hard time convincing ANY team to take him. I care about humans more than animals, but I know enough about sociopaths to know that Vick has exhibited many of the traits. We shall see how Vick handles success.....
  11. You are on the right track, but any organization that had success like they did would have gotten the same treatment. It's not because the Pats are "in tight with the league". If it had been the Bills of the 90's (or the 49ers, or Cowboys) it would have been handled in a similar fashion (I believe). It would make the whole league look bad. They HAD to downplay it. I still think that the Herschel Walker trade was a backdoor agreement between Mike Lynn and Jerry Jones (a new owner at the time), that the league approved of or at least turned a blind eye to, knowing that Jones was committed to the growth of the NFL, and "America's Team".
  12. The reason the league didn't come down harder on the Patriots is that it would make their "dynasty", and the Super Bowl (maybe even those seasons) look like a sham. It would have been bad for the entire league. Instead, they had to downplay it as "bad sportsmanship". It was the right move by Goodell. It is similar to when they decided to clamp down on drugs in the late 80's and there were a bunch of guys getting suspended (Buce Smith). It made the league look bad. I don't for a minute think that drug use of any kind has decreased in the NFL since then.
  13. Owens is fine. He was fine when he was here. It was obvious (to anyone with a brain) that the QB play was the reason he didn't make much of an impact on the offense last year.
  14. Who cares what other team's players say? Especially when it's pretty much the old cliche "These guys are really tough. They have been playing better than their record indicates"?
  15. Yes. Are the Steelers unbeatable or something? This is a home game, I certainly don't think "Yeah, I just hope they can keep it within 7 points"! That's why they play the games. I won't think think that the Bills have suddenly become an elite team if they beat the Steelers either. On the long road to respectablity an improving team will start to win some of these kind of games (especially at home).
  16. I would argue that Lindell has NEVER kicked in a real pressure situation his entire Bills career. He hasn't kicked in a playoff game yet.....
  17. I knew we shoulda traded him to the Saints! (jk)
  18. I know some here are gonna jump all over this, but I will be more disappointed if the Bills win 6-3 than if they lose 35-31. This season is about improvement, and a 6-3 win would mean that the offensive production we have seen against some poor teams might be a sham. I just want to see the offense continue to make strides, and will worry about the development of the defense next season.
  19. Use the offense that can score the most points, and let the defense do the best it can. The other way "Ball Control" is also known as " Dick Jauron Ball". The Steelers offense sometimes has it's problems too. Why do people want to play scared?
  20. You said it right there. Obviously it needs to continue! That's a given! We are talking about what he has already done! Can't you give him some credit now, or are you waiting for a Super Bowl win? (geez, a real bet hedger)
  21. This is what I see. I can't believe that some posters can't see what huge accomplishments these are! It would be impossible to fix EVERYTHING that was wrong with this team in half a season. That the record isn't as good doesn't mean so much to me AT THIS POINT. It's an overhaul of the team.
  22. When I look over the posts here, I see relatively few that are specifically about Chan Gailey. I think he deserves alot more praise than what I have seen here. The guy is doing a great job, I don't care what the record is. I see an offense that has been nowhere for years, that has been transformed into an offense that, at times, is a juggernaut. After the first few games I thought Chan might have a heart attack by mid-season, but he seems to be able to identify the root of the problems, and knows how to teach the players. I think the players have really shown him something, and have earned his respect. Let's give Chan some props!
  23. This season is a rebuilding year. Why can't you be happy that they seem to have solved a huge problem with the offense, an offense that has sucked for 10 years? You think Gailey doesn't know that the defense sucks? If the defense is improved next season even HALF as much as the offense has improved , the Bills will win the Super Bowl. Give the new staff more than half an effin' season to change the fortunes of a team that has been NOWHERE for a decade.
