  1. Dress the person up in Bills gear and big glasses, and tell the people at the stadium you're Ralph Wilson's personal nurse.
  2. Never ate at Mighty Taco, but the Grilled Stuffed Steak Burritos with hot sauce from Taco Bell are the best colon blow food around.
  3. Do they get Fox News in Canada? I thought they had tougher laws regarding obscene programming.
  4. It's disgusting how the IOC and the world at large has put money ahead of principle. While political dissidents have been rounded up, Tibetans have been barred from working in Beijing during the Olympics, and even the media is being scrutinized and blocked from internet sites like the Chinese public are, everyone who goes to the games, including Bush, is giving China the legitimacy they desire.
  5. Check out this earlier post about the Rams tickets: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=68544 Since people going to the Dallas game have to also buy tickets to the Bills game, there should be plenty for sale on the internet.
  6. Maybe the Bills should switch Peters to starting Tight End on the depth chart, tell him he's well paid for a TE, and line him up as TE next to Walker at LT.
  7. There are no easy or cheap solutions at this point, and the continued foreclosure of houses would only make the situation worse, so given the alternatives I would say I support it. Most of it is renegotiating and backing loans, not outright bailouts, and hopefully the increased regulations will prevent a similar situation in the future. The states are being given $4 billion to buy up and fix foreclosed houses. That's less then we spend in Iraq in a month. I'd rather help my neighbor keep their house than see it go empty and reduce my house's value.
  8. Maybe The Doodlebops are on at 6:30am in Washington, so he's up anyways.
  9. Try to share the practice plan with the assistants before practice day. Things happen, and if you can't make it or will be late, the other coaches should be able to proceed without you. And remember that no matter what, there will be some parent who will criticize what is going on. You can't please everyone, but if you please the majority and give all the kids a fair chance you're doing a good job.
  10. That 490 billion forecast are the White House numbers. They ignored the Congressional mandate to include the 80 billion appropriated for Iraq, so the real number is around 570 billion. Just like Nixon going to China, it might take someone like Obama to tell Americans that we need to tighten our federal budget belts to correct the mistakes of the past 8 years, and they'll believe him over someone else who gave disproportionate breaks to the wealthy and corporations. Ending the Iraq occupation, letting taxes get back to the pre-Bush levels, and sticking to pay-go principles in Congress should reduce the deficit, but some of it will also depend on the value of the dollar on the world markets.
  11. I'm most interested in whether Hardy can secure the #2 WR position. The TE position battle is more about who will blow the least.

  13. If someone is making $4 million a year and doesn't take the financial steps to ensure a revenue stream for the rest of his life, then that's his problem. He's making more in one year than most people make in a lifetime. Pretty good for a marginal tight end who was given the chance and mentoring to learn a new position. So I don't have any sympathy for players making that much. I could see if he was in the last year of his contract, but he has 3 years left.
  14. Meanwhile I'm expecting a speech from McCain, where the Ancient Mariner will say he was one of the first ones to call for the surge of airlifts to Berlin.
  15. Unless it stands for Kurdish Fried Camel, I expect it will be blown up by the end of the year.
  16. So would you support a bill banning any cell phone or other communication use by the driver while the vehicle is in motion?
  17. Brooks Orpik resigned with the Penguins for 6 years for an average of $3.75 million. He said the Sabres never even made him an offer. I thought he would end up getting $4 million or more. I'd like to know where Darcy thinks he's going to get a decent tough defensemen for less money.
  18. The rich get richer. Marion Hossa is going to Detroit, Sean Avery to Dallas, Wade Redden to the Rangers.
  19. Or he might bring his mother and Dick Cheney.
  20. Of course the timeline is that Bush declared North Korea part of the Axis of Evil in 2002. North Korea was a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty but withdrew in 2003, citing the failure of the United States to fulfill its end of the Agreed Framework, the 1994 agreement between the states to limit North Korea's nuclear ambitions, begin normalization of relations, and help North Korea supply some energy needs through nuclear reactors. And then they detonated a nuclear device in 2006. So they were in a similar position in 2002 as Iran is now thought to be. The time for a diplomatic solution is now, military action will only make them more determined and give them an excuse in the eyes of the world to acquire weapons to defend themselves from the offensive actions of the U.S. or its surrogate Israel.
  21. Wouldn't it be better to have McCain, since he could ask his wife to suppy unlimited amounts of beer.
  22. Hey Dwight Schrute, get a life, you're wrapped a little too tight worrying about how people post information. If you don't like it, don't read it.
  23. Are you KNEW to English? You want a link, here's one to help you, since you're too lazy to look things up yourself. http://dictionary.reference.com/
  24. And the Sabres could have had Campbell last year when he asked for $25 million for 5 years, but they told him that was too much. Teams like Chicago, who have been bad for so long, or smaller markets like Buffalo, sometimes have to overpay a player to get him to come to that team. Now it looks like the Sabres will be missing out on any of the top defensemen. Local guy Brooks Orpik is still available, but Darcy said, “We did have conversations, I don’t expect to be a part of that going forward.” So the alternative is trying to trade for a defenseman, or signing an older guy like Rhett Warraner or Teppo Numinan. The Sabres ended up with Patrick Lalame as a backup goalie, but I was really hoping they could have got Olaf Kolzig who is big like Miller and would have been a good teacher.
  25. No, I don't fear nukes. I grew up practicing ducking under my wood schooldesk in case of a Soviet attack. What a joke. If something happens it will be beyond my control. All I can do is vote for representatives who I think will deal with the issue in the most responsible way, and that's not Bush or McCain. All Iran has to do is sink one tanker in the Strait and the price of oil will skyrocket. The odds of stopping all their attempts if they try are slim. In fact just the Bush and McCain saberrattling about the possiblity of attacking Iran has caused speculators to make the price rise in part because they're betting on higher prices if the U.S. or Israel attacks Iran. And you sidestepped the fact that North Korea has proven they have nuclear weapons and the missles to deliver them, but their neighbors have decided that living with that fact is preferrable to military action. They're dismantling their nuclear plant, but after the fact.
