  1. These never get old. When asked about making Hitler funny, Mel Brooks said, “With comedy, we can rob Hitler of his posthumous power”.
  2. I only watch if the Bills are playing a prime-time game because they'll be talking about them. Otherwise on Sunday mornings I watch the Fantasy Football show on ESPN2 since they can give me info I can use, and listen to the Bills pregame show on WGR.
  3. Better to feel dumb than disappointed. At this point I'd be willing to settle for Lovie, but UnWisenhire would be another punch to the gut.
  4. First, I said 'just fired', as in this year's crop of unemployed. Gruden only had 3 losing seasons in 11 years, won a Super Bowl, and was 9-7 the year he was fired from Tampa, where he had replaced the fired Tony Dungy, who himself was 9-7 the year he was fired. I guess Tampa had a higher standard. I'd take either of those coaches, among others, over any of this year's unemployed. Well I guess you're willing to accept someone else's sloppy seconds, but I expect better from Russ Brandon who said, '...I will leave no stone unturned in taking this organization to a world class level.' A coach from Arizona doesn't meet that criteria.
  5. Seahawks over Bengals so we can remind Brandon that his genius evaluator Nix passed on both QBs.
  6. I don't want a guy that just got fired, especially from a team that did worse than the Bills. If he was so good he'd still have a job. If the Bills are truely searching 'world-wide' for world class talent, then either hire a successful college coach like Kelly or a pro like Gruden, whoever they decide is most qualified. Make them an offer they can't refuse. The Bills may need to overpay to overcome their reputation as a bad organization. But please don't make an Unweisenhire (I'm trademarking that),.
  7. It's really sad how some fans are so desperate for good news that they try to justify the mediocre hirings the Bills make. It's like battered wife syndrome. Hiring another losing team's castoff is pathetic. We deserve better after putting up with the past 13 years. Unless they hire a proven winner with a solid track record, it will be another 3-5 years of rinse and repeat.
  8. If they hire a coach from another unsuccessful team like Arizona or Oakland, what happened today will be meaningless. It will just be another Ralph Wilson-like move.
  9. Now he'll split carries with Tashard Choice.
  10. Probably the same reason why they cut Vince Young and won't even dress Tavaris Jackson. I'd rather try either at this point.
  11. Replace the kickoff by having the head coaches play it out on Madden on the scoreboard. They have to use backups as they would for real, so they couldn't play a starter like Adrian Peterson. Maybe it would convince the Bills to hire a younger coach. Change field goals so they get 1 point for 1-19 yards, 2 for 20-29, 3 for 30-49, and 4 for 50+.
  12. The Electoral College was OK in 2000 and today. The issue is making sure all the registered voters who want to vote can, and that every vote is counted.
  13. It's over, despite the desperate rants of Karl Rove and Donald Trump. Let's wake up tomorrow and try to come to some compromise to deal with the economic issues. Good night and God bless.
  14. President: Obama Senate: Gillibrand Congress NY-24: Maffei
  15. As evidenced by the amount of time they spend posting, the regulars on the PPP don't really have much going on in their lives, so they spend their time complaining about everyone else and pretending they know better.
  16. The only way Mario can pressure Tom Brady is if Mario hires a woman to claim she had Brady's love child this year.
  17. The first round is for drafting QBs. Don't draft a RB before the 4th round.
  18. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, I mean, on the tape.
  19. They left out that he's not really an American.
  20. You have a derelection of facts. He didn't miss any briefings because there weren't any scheduled. He gets the written briefing every day which he reads, and was the same process Bill Clinton used. Some people are actually capable enough to understand what they read without need for explaination. The daily briefings didn't become actual daily meetings until GWBush took office, because he didn't want to have to read them. That's a fact.
