  1. If they can get one of the top QBs then go for it. EJ is not a guaranteed success, and look at the situation they're in now. Washington is an example of what can happen to a read option QB. If they end up with two quality QBs, then one is trade bait. Otherwise they'll need to pick a CB.
  2. Why run the read option if EJ is never going to keep it?
  3. And the stomach to prove you ask for extra cheese and mayo.
  4. My favorite scene was Walt seeing Skyler for the last time. And I'm glad that Walt died in a moment of relative happiness, reminiscing about how good he was at cooking the meth. If Marie was so worried about Skyler, then why not let them move in to her nice house instead of having them live in some projects. I was hoping that Marie ended up taking some poison or going to jail for repeated shoplifting. As for Lydia, the ricin in the tea was a bit too predictable, I would rather Jessie got to take her out in front of Todd. Some have talked about Jessie ending up taking care of Brock, but that doesn't seem feasible. Jessie is a known drug user, and by the end the DEA probably know he was involved with the meth, so they would be looking for him. Plus Brock already would have a guardian, perhaps his grandmother. More likely he hooks up with Skinny Pete and Badger, and gets enough cash to get out of state.
  5. Predictions: Walt uses the ricin on the Schwartz's. Meanwhile, Marie makes dinner for Skyler and Walt Jr., but poisons the food to take her own life and theirs. She has nothing to live for, and this is her way to get revenge on Walt. Walt goes to the Aryan compound and kills all of them except Todd, who is there with Lydia. Walt frees Jessie, and Jessie makes Todd watch him kill Lydia as payback, then kills Todd. Jessie turns the gun towards Walt, Walt is resigned to die, but Jessie can't do it and kills himself instead. Walt falls to his knees sobbing and it fades to black. We then see from Walt's POV as he opens his eyes. He's in a hospital bed and is surrounded by all his loved ones. He's on morphine and near death. They're all crying and smiling. His eyes start to close, and it fades to black a he dies. Was he hallucinating that he saw them, or was the whole show a hallucination? You decide. Or to make it sadder, after he passes away, there's a view of the room, and he did in fact die alone in a prison hospital.
  6. Coach Rolston reported that Tropp had surgery to repair a broken jaw. Out for 5-6 weeks.
  7. Fans get their expectations up too high, especially after a win, because we're so desperate for success. There were some talking about possibly making the playoffs and Manuel being RotY. Then when they have a stinker game it's crushing and fans overreact. I've learned to expect the worst, and that way it's not so crushing when it occurs. If they have success it's gravy, but I don't expect it to last. I don't like thinking this way, but the Bills and Sabres over the years have made me cynical.
  8. Rolston fined for player selection and team conduct. WTF, now the league gets to tell a coach who they can play? Plus Scott was already on from the last shift, Rolston didn't send him out. If anyone should be fined for player selection it shoul be Darcy Regier for his career. The league has to appease the Toronto fans and get a pound of flesh from the Sabres. What rule in the book says who a player is allowed to fight? They can get an instigator and fighting penalty, but that's it. Scott got jumped by two Leafs and a linesman, and still got slashed and speared by Kessel while being held back. Kessel suspended for rest of preseason! What a joke. Are the going to give him an official NHL purse as a parting gift too?
  9. To add some context, 6' Sabre Corey Tropp had scored a goal. Next shift he had to fight 6'5" Devine of Leafs. Tropp got knocked down, hit his head on ice, and had to be helped off. Sabres weren't happy about that and sent out Scott to address the situation. Carlyle could have put anyone out with last change, but put out Kessel. Scott would have taken on whoever came out to show the Leafs they weren't going to be allowed to intimidate the smaller players. But the Leafs put out Kessel as the sacrificial lamb. Scott did his job with the closest dance partner. Kessel has previously used his stick that way in a game against Philly, so this is not unprecedented. I don't like that the linesman grabbed Scott as two other Leafs jumped him. Grab all of them or let them go.
  10. I've said she is very good at playing an unlikable character, so she was deserving.
  11. I'm thinking that perhaps the ricin will be used on the Gray Matter partners. Neither Cranston or Paul won an Emmy, that was a farce. Anna Gunn won.
  12. Stevie out with cramps
  13. They're already warming up the short bus.
  14. Spiller has ice bag on knee. Improves chance of getting positive 1st down yardage.
  15. Toast called, and is offended to be associated with the Bills DBs.
  16. It's a waste having Spiller in on 1st down.
  17. Spiller 1st down and nothing, as usual.
  18. The Bills game will go to overtime and CBS will pre-empt the end to switch to the Emmys.
  19. Earliest favorite was O.J. going over 2000 yards vs Jets. I had a scrapbook that I updated each week with articles from the Courier Express.
  20. The name isn't even originally Washington's, they started as the Boston Braves, then switched to Redskins when they moved to Fenway Park to mimic the Red Sox name. My college changed from Warriors to Golden Eagles, who cares, I still root for them. The Bills could change to Bisons, Stampede, or Chicken Wings, who cares, I'd still allow myself to be disappointed by them. If you can avoid offending an ethnic group, then why not, the benefit outways the inconveinence. Just another example of some white people complaining that "those people" are trying to take "our country" away from us.
  21. Spiller hasn't played up to the hype. He'll have an occasional good run, but then gets stuffed at the line too much. Never liked his pick in the draft, too high and wrong position at the time, but that's Buddy's fault not his. I feel more confident when Fred is in that the RB will get positive yardage.
