  1. I like Kiko jawing with Graham after the tackle
  2. Changing from Bills would be fine. Bisons, Stampede, or Wings would be more appropriate. I doubt most people under 30 even know who Buffalo Bill was other than a character in a Hannibal Lector movie.
  3. Who said drunks are accepted? The topic is little kids at at games. Have a kid kick your seat for awhile and see how you like it, regardless of where you are. Having drunks at the game is an unfortunate given, which is why I didn't bring my son until he was in high school. I'm a big guy so usually a dirty look from me gets them to settle down. But it's no fun having to deal with it. I would support breathalizer tests at the gate. I can't understand why people would spend hundreds of dollars on a game, and feel they have to drink so much before a game that they come in half in the bag. Then they keep going back and forth getting more beer and missing the game. Can't people enjoy a sporting event without getting drunk? The guy in front of me at the Cincy game was so drunk he had his head hanging between his legs for the 4th quarter like he was going to pass out.
  4. I feel bad for the people sitting near you if he gets restless or cries. Plus people in those lower seats stand for most of the game, so there won't be much room. I went to the Cincy game and a little kid behind us kept kicking our seats when we got to sit.
  5. Many people bought tickets before that statement, probably didn't think it would be this bad, and/or are afraid they won't be able to get them again if the Sabres ever turn it around. But there's no excuse for people to buy single game tickets unless they like the opponent.
  6. Yes, and I never liked them because of that.
  7. I think the activity near the fence has increased because of the person feeding them rats. It's caused them to be more agitated knowing theres food inside, where previously they were more docile unless they saw people nearby. But I agree that they should be thinning the herd. In the past the walkers have shown they aren't very adept at climbing, plus there weren't any humans on the roof to go after, so the group wouldn't think they would be up there. I assume the walkers on the roof were from the crashed helicopter, and the helicopter weakened the roof when it crashed. Some of the debris and possible fire could have damaged the roof to allow rain water to penetrate and rot it. Wait until this week. The preview on Talking Dead showed Daryl and others in a car coming upon a herd of walkers coming their way that Greg Nicatero said had over 7000 walkers.
  8. I agree with that, but you can tell early on if it's a mismatch. Put the backups in sooner, let them play most of the games. A problem I've seen in high school leagues is when small school districts have to draw players from other small districts to form one team. The governing board then counts the total enrollments from all those districts that players came from, even if a district only had one kid play, and then they get put in a league with big districts. There should be some consideration given to how the teams historically perform to determine what level they're put in.
  9. I didn't know Sandusky was once an English teacher.
  10. While the complaint is stupid, there are things the winning coach could have done to make it less embarrassing. Pull the starters at halftime, or once you get above 60 points tell your guys to run out of bounds short of the first down. When I coached hockey and we were blowing a team out, I'd have the players just dump it in instead of shooting, or have them make 3 passes in O zone before shooting, or have players switch positions. You never want to embarrass an opponent once you have control of the game.
  11. Maybe Roy would know what buttons to push to get Grigerinko going. Problem is he would have wanted a say on personnel, and that won't happen with Darcy there, so they settle for someone just happy to have a coaching job.
  12. Smart teams, not the Sabres. They won't fully commit to a rebuild, they hang on to overpriced vets like Stafford and Leino, and don't trade vets with expiring contracts like Miller and Vanek. So they'll win just enough to miss out on the top picks. It won't change as long as Darcy is in charge. And look at how quickly Colorado has turned it around with a quality coach like Roy. They had the worst record last year, and now are 5-0 to start.
  13. I think he's a bit of a Mr Magoo, he means well but can't see what's going on in front of him. When he bought the team and said Darcy and Lindy "ain't going nowhere", that was the first uh-oh moment. Then he blamed the media for being too critical, and said the team would do better if they were more supportive. Maybe his advisors and trophy wife keep him sheltered from the truth, or he's like Dan Snyder; smart in business but not in sports.
  14. There was an article last year that said if London got a team they would play a few weeks in London, and then come to the US for a few weeks at a time, to reduce the Atlantic crossings. The NFL would build them a training facility in the US for them to stay at. Delaware was mentioned. And teams going to London to play would do so around the time of their bye week. The tough thing might be convincing players, especially free agents, to agree to play for them.
  15. Factually incorrect. They Bills were the main topic of conversation before the draft and throughout the summer, including doing their broadcasts from St John Fisher. And of course they talked about the Sabres this morning, they just played last night. Just as the talk on Monday will be about the Bills game.
  16. They continue to rehash the same tired talking points over and over again.. EJ, Marrone, Hackett, and should they trade Byrd. The Bills are going to be one of the worst teams in the league again this season... Not unlike the Sabres but still Football is talked about all year long and they were heavy in to the Bills coverage starting in July.
  17. But in London they're used to low scoring games from soccer, so they'd appreciate the defenses.
  18. If two bad teams play against each other, won't that make them look good because it's an even match.
  19. If the Bills played more games in a week, then they would get more coverage. Look at how they covered them when they played Thursday. They went 72 hours straight with local coverage, much of it devoted to the Bills. It's just a fact that there are more dynamics to talk about when a team plays more games in a week. WGR broadcast from Bills training camp every day they were at St John Fisher. And your assertion that Kaleta doesn't belong in the league exposes your lack of hockey knowledge.
  20. There is more talk about hockey because in a typical week there are 3 to 4 Sabres games as opposed to 1 Bills game. Naturally they're going to talk about the hockey game playing that night or played the night before. There's more dynamics in a given week. How much can you talk about 1 football game? They focus on the Bills on Mondays, Fridays, and exclusively all Sunday morning, and they still get coverage on the other days. But you can only debate about how the 4th string QB is going to do for so long.
  21. No this is on management. Give the customers a product worth seeing and they'll come. It's like having a concert and finding out the lead singer has been replaced with a 4th string karaoke singer. Who cares who the drummer is. I'm going because I bought tickets before the season started when they had at least two viable QBs. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to buy now.
  22. I don't mind rebuilding, but having the same GM do it for a third time is unbelievable. Pegula showed so much promise when he bought the team, but keeping Darcy this long shows a real lack of hockey knowledge for him and his advisors. Should have cleaned house last year. How many years does it take to have a decent power play? They had three 5 on 3 chances last week and still couldn't score. The last decent PP was when Briere was here.
  23. Anyone know the deal with the CFL? It seems like a QB there would love a chance to move to the NFL. Is there some agreement between leagues, or the player's contract that prohibits it? There has to be a QB there that is as capable as some of the options being discussed.
