  1. COBOL was the first language I used at work. I liked using it but hated setting up the JCL to run it. I still have my manual and a couple of sample programs in the basement. Maybe I should dust them off.
  2. Many of their songs refer to and are inspired by their political views, so you might be spending alot of time in the bathroom waiting for non-political songs. For example, Bullet the Blue Sky was their criticism of what they called Reagan's 'stop Communism at all costs' policy, which provided financial aid to the El Salvador regime while ignoring their human rights abuses.
  3. The US is second in pollution, and Trump (and you apearantly) want to lower our standards to those of China. So that's what you have to look forward to if we do. I figured simplifying it with pictures like Trump's daily briefings would make it easier for you to understand. Appearantly not.
  4. So Trump thinks lowering our standards is progress. The oxymoron "Clean coal". Trumpcare is going to include breathing masks
  5. The good news is the Paris agreement doesn't take effect until 2020, and we'll have a new president that will reestablish the U.S. as a leader in clean energy and slowing climate change.
  6. Careful, you're going to give the anti-Planned Parenthood conspiracy theorists another excuse to create doctored videos. Corrected from the article: "because of the electoral lunacy of an almost-majority plurality".
  7. Xenophobia sells to the wrestling demographic.
  8. I play with a couple guys who never air their gear out. That would be an improvement.
  9. Leftover pizza, or the leftover third of Danny's favorite sub from Wegmans. I spend the hour watching Netflix on my phone. Currently watching House of Cards.

  11. The law regarding an independent counsel that allowed Starr to go on a fishing expedition to find something to pin on Clinton to satisfy the Republicans because he couldn't find it regarding the original issue he was investigating expired. If Mueller wants to expand the investigation beyond its original scope, he has to get permission from the Justice department.

  14. It's being reported that Comey recorded the memo and shared it with FBI associates. We'll find out next week when he testifies.
  15. The number of voters that believed his idiocy was underestimated. There was a belief that most voters were smarter. Again, the media were complicit in putting ratings ahead of responsible reporting by giving him a free platform.
  16. KIEV, Ukraine A month before Donald Trump clinched the Republican nomination, one of his closest allies in Congress House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy made a politically explosive assertion in a private conversation on Capitol Hill with his fellow GOP leaders: that Trump could be the beneficiary of payments from Russian President Vladimir Putin. "Theres two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump," McCarthy (R-Calif.) said, according to a recording of the June 15, 2016 exchange, which was listened to and verified by The Washington Post. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher is a Californian Republican known in Congress as a fervent defender of Putin and Russia. House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) immediately interjected, stopping the conversation from further exploring McCarthys assertion, and swore the Republicans present to secrecy. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/house-majority-leader-to-colleagues-in-2016-i-think-putin-pays-trump/2017/05/17/515f6f8a-3aff-11e7-8854-21f359183e8c_story.html

  18. The deputy AG who appointed him should update his resume in preparation for the next Trump temper tantrum.
  19. Trump's undisciplined style attracted viewers who wanted to see what outrageous thing he said next. Ratings over responsible reporting.
  20. Neither's speeches were televised by the candidates. They both gave speeches; the media choose to televise Trump's whenever he gave them, helping his campaign get his message out. They didn't do the same with Clinton whenever she gave a speech. Thus the free publicity for Trump, and again, showing they didn't give Clinton preferential treatment. Just the opposite.
  21. On the heels of Trump giving the Russians top secret information comes another foreign policy gaffe from the gang who can't shoot straight: WASHINGTON (AP) — Nikki Haley, President Donald Trump’s U.N. ambassador, waded into a diplomatic minefield on Wednesday by asserting that the Western Wall is part of Israel, a deviation from U.S. policy. The longstanding U.S. stance is that the site is in Jerusalem, full stop. That distinction — Jerusalem, not Israel — reflects the U.S. position that the city’s fate is an issue for Israelis and Palestinians to work out through future peace negotiations. Haley’s comments attracted particular attention because they came in the wake of a diplomatic dust-up between American and Israeli officials over planning for President Donald Trump’s trip next week to Israel, the Palestinian territories and Jerusalem. Israel complained that a U.S. representative rejected allowing Israel’s prime minister to join Trump for a visit to the Western Wall because it isn’t in Israeli territory. The White House disputed the account. The wall is in the Old City, a part of east Jerusalem, which the U.S. and most of the world consider to be occupied territory. A look at what Haley said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network airing Wednesday: HALEY: “I don’t know what the policy of the administration is, but I believe the Western Wall is part of Israel and I think that that is how, you know, we’ve always seen it and that’s how we should pursue it.” She said she wasn’t sure what happened in the dispute over Trump’s trip, adding: “I know that they’re trying to fix it and get that taken care of, but we’ve always thought the Western Wall was part of Israel.” THE FACTS: Haley initially appeared to be voicing her personal view about the wall, but that’s a distinction ambassadors don’t get to make. As the nation’s envoy to the United Nations, her public comments on foreign policy issues generally are assumed to be statements of U.S. policy. That policy, that “the Western Wall is in Jerusalem,” hasn’t changed, a State Department official said following Haley’s comments. Since Israel’s founding, the U.S. has maintained that “no state has sovereignty over the city of Jerusalem” and that it’s a “final status” issue that must be resolved through Israeli-Palestinian negotiation, the official said. https://www.apnews.com/a89b8acbaa1749c4af50e85383e1ae20/AP-FACT-CHECK:-Does-US-believe-Western-Wall-is-in-Israel?
  22. Trump, in Coast Guard graduation speech: "No politician in history has been treated worse or more unfairly". And it was actually in his telprompter speech, not ad-libbed!
  23. Pence would be just as bad on policy, maybe worse on some social issues, but it would be without the Trump drama of what's he going to screw up next. Of course Pence would have the issue of meeting alone with female leaders unless he got "mother's" approval.
