It's a shame that someone of Kelly's stature feels compelled to cover Trump's self-inflicted wound instead of doing the right thing and resigning, because he knows he's one of the few people who may be able to keep Trump from creating real chaos with a military incident. His statements did confirm that Trump lied when he said he didn't say what he did to the wife in the car who was listening on a speaker phone held by military personnel, as corroborated by the congresswoman and mother. At least he took Trump and his sycophants to task when he said some things are no longer sacred, like religion (Muslim ban, "Jews will not replace us"), and Gold Star families during the convention (the Khans).
