  1. Finally they don't use some stupid zigzag stripe somewhere on the gear. I swear the NFL Pro Shop people making most of their stuff have vision problems...
  2. About time someone got it right..........................................
  3. Nobody is going anywhere, nobody. By the time the home opener comes around, the sun will be shining, hope will be through the roof and everybody complaining now will be settled right in (guaranteed).
  4. This is the one piece of news I was hoping not to hear. Wait until the Cowher story comes out......
  5. I like him. Says it the way it is!
  6. Meaningful games in December is ALL I want to have a successful season. Just make it worthwhile to attend games.
  7. Great minds think alike...I just heard Howard Simon say the exact same thing regarding $$ saved on coaches. Yes, me patting self on shoulder....Now let's just see if Ralph does it...
  8. You have to assume that Chan Gailey did not come with a very big price tag so Brandon KNOWS that this will not get people off the fence. The big splash (not the one Thurman was talking about) will have to take place in FA. Take the $$ you saved (not intentionally) on the HC and overpay for either a QB, LT or DE. Go after a McNabb, Peppers or Mcneil and do WHATEVER it takes to solidify a major hole on this team. That and a successful draft with NIX could go a long way. Sabres are rolling and we just have to hope that Bills are pro-active in FA. The $$ saved on Owens and Gailey alone should be able to land a Blue Chipper. Ditch the cash to cap and make one last charge if you can Ralph.
  9. What if he just threw an upper cut to Russ and then said "where's the mic"? Now THAT would be sweet. Time to move forward and get this train back on track.
  10. I would really love Gailey to come out and say "now I know that fans have been tossing names out there and I am here to tell you that although I have not won a Super Bowl, I will do everything I can to change that within my time here." I don't care if this guy lies through his teeth, he better damn well make a good impression and show a little fire. He knows he was last on the list, the fans know he was last on the list so how about SOMETHING at the presser to inject some life into this doormat. Let's just hope that he has some good relationships with some quality coordinators.
  11. Whatever they decide, it better not be because they do not want to wait another week.....
  12. No, it did not take Ismael's comments to make me think this but it is certainly the first time I have heard it mentioned nationally.
  13. Just saying....I don't like the fact that this is such general knowledge around NFL circles.
  14. He was asked what the heck has happened to this once proud franchise when they get turned down by the likes of a college coach from Stanford. Ismael's response was pretty much what we all knew but had never heard anyone say. He said the NFL is a very tight knit unit and it is widely regarded by players and coaches alike that Buffalo has no commitment to winning. He basically said that the front office is not committed to winning and there is no word that rings louder in the NFL than commitment. So, basically, I heard what many have suspected over the past few years.............
  15. The only thing I really care about is having this team long enough so I can take my kids when they are older. In the meantime, I'll continue to enjoy the tailgating and friends on Sunday. Bring on 3rd rate coaches and mediocre talent as long as something is being worked out as to how the team stays. Sabres have something good going on right now and when you think about it, we are pretty fortunate to have two professional teams in this city (and the Bandits). As long as the Bills stay, they will eventually get it right again when the new ownership takes over. Let's just hope that something is in place to keep the tradition going on for years down the road.
  16. Awesome, just love it. Great job on this one.
  17. I don't think I would give more than a 3rd for him....
  18. That shoe dropped years ago so I really don't think anyone will be surprised when FAs continue to go elsewhere. THis is why I stated in another thread that Buddy Nix is the only one to save this team...draft, draft and draft
  19. I am TOTALLY sold...TOTALLY. Grab him while you can and pray. Slim pickins right now.....slim pickins indeed
  20. Well, regardless of who comes here as head coach, it is going to be tough to get some of the better coordinators to come along with him (we shall see). Honestly, the reason I wanted a big name is because of the staff that would have followed. I highly doubt much is going to change in the free agent market (pattern) so we just have to hope Nix has got a real eye for talent. Players are going to have to make the coaches and I suggest the new staff talking to the Sabres as they have done a tremendous job of home grown talent. The draft always has been and always will be the key to success for the Bills. Once March comes along and players can be traded, I would load up on as many draft picks as humanly possible.
  21. Although I don't think there is a snowballs chance, I will be the first one to admit I love reading the updates.........
  22. Wow, you really had to stretch for that one. Of course anybody is going to want to see how things are run. At least the Bills have a football guy and I'm sure that WHOEVER comes in here is going to have a say in players picked...I mean Dick the idiot Jauron is the one who drafted all these Mighty Mouse guys.....
  23. Like I have said, Bills will have first shot at ANY Coordinator they want. Not a bad position to be in and I would like to see how the Grimm interview goes. Grimm Schottenheimer whoever else might be a good fit Any way you look at, Ralph will have to throw extra $$ out there to get them but at least they should be legit gamers. This might be the only year the Bills have the luxury to pick who they want (while Ralph is Owner) so they better get it right.
  24. Oh my gooness people. The Bills are not interested in Billick so why would it be addressed? Cowher will only Coach if a last minute job opens up and that is not in Buffalo. He has obviously told people not to bring it up on the show in case something comes up. Why has not said he is staying at CBS and be done with the topic? Because if he does that, the slight possibility of coaching in Carolina or somewhere similar is ruled out. Better warm up to the idea of a top Coordinator or the possible dream of Schottenheimer package. Other than that, you won't hear diddly from Cowher until he is positive no other jobs are opening. If I was Ralph, throw a boatload of $$ at John Fox and buy him out of Carolina for a long term contract. Cowher goes to Carolina, Fox comes here and everyone is happy......
  25. The Bills can take another month for all I care. If they can't land an "A Lister" they should be able to get the #1 Coordinator and will just have to over pay to get him here. Take your time Buddy as long as you make the RIGHT pick. Interview 10 guys if you have to......Make sure the guy you hire is able to bring in very capable coordinators otherwise it will all be for naught!
