Exactly...for a team as good as the Packers are supposed to be, a 3rd rounder could actually work now

Can we please just put Fitzy in....
BuffaloBaumer replied to reginald's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That would be my worst nightmare come true. Fitz as the starting QB and winning 6 games this season. Either Trent or Brohm winning 10-15 or Fitz winning 0-3 -
Report: Jenkins tears ACL again, out for year
BuffaloBaumer replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now we just have to make sure Sanchez stays healthy and the Bills may have a shot..... -
There are two things that I most definitely DON'T want to see this season. Fitzpatrick at Qb (total waste of time) and teams finishing worse than us who need a QB.
-
You can say that again. I gotta tell you though, this is one fun team to watch on Defense (actually both of them). There really is so much talent missing on the Bills and I think they have to make a realistic goal of 2012. If they can really hit on the next draft and hit free agency with a vengeance, the new QB will have a year under his belt and be ready to go in 2012.

Green Bay, New England and Jets
BuffaloBaumer replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, definitely no gimmies this year. Let's see what KC can do tonight. I can't even believe it is week one and I am more interested in KC, Cleveland and Oakland instead of New England, Jets and Miami. -

I don't know but if he proves to be a legit LT by end of the year, that will go a looong way to improving in 2011. -

Most likely you are right but can you think of anything worse than playing 3 garbage teams and then getting crushed by a real one in a month? At least these 3 games will give a great indicator of how far this team really has to go... -
I think these are going to great games to watch because fans will REALLY get to see what this team is made of....I love playing the best instead of these mirage games of old where we beat the worst teams in the league. Reality will be forced early and often to let everyone know what finally needs to be done. I will still go to every game but I already know what to expect as I did at the opener. Hopefully, these will be close losses but if not, changes will be made sooner....

So, if Die Hard 1967 is right
BuffaloBaumer replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Best scenario for 2010 into 2011: A legitimate 2nd receiver emerges by end of year someone emerges as a LT or they MUST figure out how to get Mcneil in here LB should be the target for off season QB is the obvious 1st rounder pick rounds 2-7 are for whatever else they need by 2012, we can talk playoffs -

What in the world do you expect this team to do? How could you possibly not see this coming? This team is void of a QB and the Oline is still missing a couple guys. This team is not lacking in effort, it is lacking in talent. There is nothing that can change that this year so just hope there are fewer holes by the end of the year. -
Up until the TD drive where magically receivers were open by 10 yards, I did not notice him missing receivers wide open. I think the major problem is that he does not try and fit it into a tight space like all the GOOD qbs do.

0- 6 Before We Have Chance to Win A Game
BuffaloBaumer replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe those people are sick and tired of you telling them how to feel about their team. The Bills need a QB and have needed one for quite some time. They will never get anywhere until that happens so if looking to next years draft while cheering on the team upsets you, don't read it...I, for one, know this team is not good so my hope is that some glaring holes that are obvious now will be filled by some youngsters by years end. -
First Time I Have EVER Returned From Home Opener
BuffaloBaumer replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
strange last drive - especially the safety -
I don't know if it is because I am so used to it or if I just knew they were going to be this bad. Looking up at the scoreboard and seeing the Patriots roll while Edward still had 1.3 ypa into 3rd quarter was almost laughable. I will be totally happy to lose 16 games while improving each week and getting that QB once and for all. Hey, the tailgate with 15 lbs of flank steak was just awesome so I am looking at each week as good food and a chance of progress....

Better Than The Phinless

I still think that this team will win around 5 games but the home opener WILL be one of them.... -
Better Than The Phinless
BuffaloBaumer replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I honestly don't think they will score more than 17 points. Can our offense put up 20...we'll see -
I really don't see why there is so much hype in the AFC East. Patriots will always be good as long as Brady plays at a high level so I will never doubt them until I see a W. I don't see the Jets winning 8 games this year as Sanchez has accomplished ZERO and the Dolphin hype is simply insane to me. I am expecting to win this game if Edwards can piece together even a mediocre game. This division is not NEARLY as tough as all the outsiders are making it to be. I believe Buffalo is clearly better than last year with just the subtraction of Jauron so after a win against the Phin, we can start talking about a legitimate opponent in Green Bay. That is where we will see what this team has got......

Chicago Bills Backers (?)
BuffaloBaumer replied to West End Stench's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was at the Station for that game as well. I walked outside stunned and just threw my hat in the street. I still want to know who took my authentic goathead Pat Lagontaine jersey that I gave to the bar. Right after one of their playoff wins, someone took it off the trophy it was hanging on and bolted - still mad to this day... -

I will email his wife right now and see what is up with the wing special (she handles all that stuff). I'll let you know as soon as I get response -
Chicago Bills Backers (?)
BuffaloBaumer replied to West End Stench's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ditto for what Bigcat said. I actually turned Lincoln Station into the Bills and Sabres bar that it is now. My roommate from college opened up the place when Cleveland did not have the Browns about 10 years ago. I told him that if I got 50 people there on opening day, would he make it a Buffalo bar. He said yes and the rest is history. The Sabres ended up making their Cup run soon after so every other night for 3 months, we had the place packed. His business soared and it has since been named the biggest Bills bar/restaurant in the state of Illinois. I also told him that he had to have Blue and the best wings in town if this was going to be my place of recruitment. He did a great job on both fronts and that is the dealyo on the Station..... Tell Joe the Baumer sent ya!I have since left Chicago (about 5 years ago) but it is still going strong....still waiting for my dividend checks -
Would you rather go 7-9 or 1-14?
BuffaloBaumer replied to beggar13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It depends how Edwards plays the whole season. All I know is the worst possible scenario is a 7-9 season where we still need a QB. I would rather have 1-15 knowing that Edwards is a star and we lost all those games by a close margin......Hope is what this team needs - hope -
Have ever you hated a player in the NFL?
BuffaloBaumer replied to Jim in Anchorage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dick Jauron - not even a close second behind him... -
I am 6'4" 210 and don't consider myself wiry. If I was another inch taller and gained 7 pounds, wiry certainly would not be the correct term. Sounds to me like this kid has perfect frame to be a receiver...
