You wait and see at the end of the season how many people in that locker room backed Trent. You think Gailey and crew honestly think they are winning this season, get a clue. They want to see if Brohm has got a legitimate shot at making this team next year so they had no problem getting rid of Trent.Any realistic fan knew this team was going to blow so the anger should not even surface until next year at the earliest. They did not like any of the QBs in the 2010 draft and hopefully they like some in 2011. And as far as the bold part you were referring to, YOU were not included in WE.

I have no problem with the media beating down on the Bills for their play on the field because it does suck. What I have a problem with is when they all jump on the bandwagon saying cutting Trent was a bonehead play. He did not play the way he looked in pre-season and he lost the team. What the Hell is so tough to figure out - get rid of him and they did. Listen people, we know more about this team than 90% of the people that write about it.....

With that Mellon Fitz has, he sure will be a big target for the Jets D. I wonder how Fitz and our oline are going to survive this one...

This is the most annoying thing when people take sides and then feel they have to come back and say something. Nobody hated anyone in particular on this QB roster - the thing people hated was that the future QB to this team was not on the roster. Edwards was never it, Fitz is more entertaining but still can't win the big one and Brohm was popular because he is the big question mark.

Sam Bradford would not be the savior in 2010 either on this team but you have to start finding that QB....

No that bad considering 1st start ever on a garbage team. I would be willing to bet he does a little better each week.

I don't think this team is going to win too many games and look at it this way.... With Fitz throwing the ball around, it really lets the coaches see where the true weaknesses are. Receivers and Oline don't look so bad and it will give them great experience until the REAL qb steps in next year (or at least drafted then)

I guess what I am looking for is....who absolutely cannot be on this defense next year and how many can be cut/contracts run out without damaging cap too much

I don't study positions and assignments the way some of you do so what in the world needs to be done to fix this? Is there anyone capable of playing this 3-4 besides the secondary? I NEVER hear names like Stroud anymore and it just seems that this D is far away from working. Aside from a pass rush which is non existent, what needs to be fixed to stop the run?

Play Fitz next year for all I care but if they don't figure out how to get a QB on this team by the end of the draft, it's over...

I'll take a beat down year by the Bills if this guy turns out to be the real deal. Loved it when he grabbed his olineman to settle them down and get back to business. Buffalo vs Cleveland in December could be a real doozy for the draft

I would like to keep this thread going all year and add any QBs that come on to the scene so we can see just what to expect come April (even though I have come to expect the most unbelievably, confusing unexpected)

IMO - this team is a 3 year project. Year 1 - bottom out. Year 2 - pick up starter-worthy QB and fortify the lines, offense and defense. Year 3 - tactical draft, FA pick ups to fill in the missing pieces and then compete for the division and playoffs. yup

I would only do that trade if it involved a proven player coming to us in a position of need.

No argument here. None at all....I have just had it for this year and am going to let it all play out good or bad. The saddest part is that I have no emotion going to these games and that has NEVER happened before (regardless of how bad they have been)

Yes, but the problem is that these players for some reason or another are never coached up to their ability. They have talent but they are never put in the proper position to use it.You can ALREADY see it happening with Spiller and we are in week two. It is not even worth dissecting these games because the problem is so much larger and will take years to correct (on top of the 10 they have wasted).
