Who cares if the guy at #3 does not start right off the bat. This team is so far away from the playoffs, it's ridiculous. If they see a QB that they think will take a year to turn into the leader they want, go for it. Do you think a DT or LB at 3 will get this team to the playoffs next year? So why would they pass on a QB if they think he is legit. This team DESPERATELY needs an identity and a leader (much like the Sabres) and until these two organizations get the franchise QB and first line Center, mediocrity will continue.....

Some people will be jumping for joy and others will want to put their head through a wall. Honestly, I may be one of the few that will be happy with any pick other than DB or WR. If they think they got their guy at QB, it will be hard not to get excited. If they get a DT/DE or LB, it will go a long way as well. Looks like the Draft BBQ will resume after a 5 year absence..... Sabres are on a roll, Bills are getting new uniforms, the temp is is the 40s next week and the Bills select..........Time to get that positive mojo goin' folks!

Honestly, I don't know who the heck to pick as a QB but if they think he can be the guy, pull the trigger and end the search once and for all. The Bills are not going to make the playoffs this year so if they REALLY like Gabbert or Newton, go for it....They will have free agency and the rest of the draft (for this year and next)to build up the D and oline. This may be the only chance to pick this high and have your choice of any guy out there....

Picking a DB or a WR at this spot in the draft would be just as stupid as taking another RB. I just don't understand how someone who specializes in talent could be so stupid and so wrong every single year. Seriously, pick the best LB or DT/DE and start getting this POS team out of the dumps once and for all.

Bills have zero chance of winning the division next year (and probably the next) so the only shot would be a wildcard. I can't even see that happening for at least another 2 years...

Could this mean the pick of Pederson at #3? If this guy is anything close to what they say (and reading your Pitt inf0 above), it would make sense to me.....Gotta admit, I was shocked by Merrimen and even more so by this. I honestly did not think in a million years he would sign here...

My feeling is that the Bills will never beat the Patriots while Brady and Belle are there (and the game means something to the pats). The Bills are a good two years away from playing a meaningful game in December so patience is all we have. Until then, the home opener will continue to be the best game of the year as everyone will still have that thing called hope. Here is to September!
