I agree it's unlikely but I truly think THIS FA needs to be one where getting to the QB is a priority. Get one in FA and one in the draft - everything else falls into place.....

The reason I even bring up DB is because his butt is already here getting interviewed and I don't think he would be that costly - seems like it could be good value.. As far as WR, I guarantee one the top 5 guys will be there in the 2nd and it is a VERY deep draft for WR.

Salary Cap might shoot this down as I am not sure of what all the numbers would be BUT it does not seem that difficult to make the jump to playoffs with a few simple moves. Get one of the top 2 DE's in FA and overpay (Williams, Avril). If this means not re-signing Stevie and throwing more money at Williams, so be it Sign the DB who is here today (Routt) Draft either top top DE/WR/Tackle in first round. If they can get Williams or Avril, I would still go after top DE or OLB Draft seems to be loaded with WRs that would be great bargains in the 2nd round I know QB is STILL the missing piece and without that, true contender status will not be reached. For now though, it seems that between the DEs and WRs in both FA and the draft, it lines up perfectly for this team. Fill out the line with 3rd round or others (unless there is an elite tackle there at the 10 spot. Bottom line, I think this is a VERY important free agency period for this team.

No worries, I don't expect St. Pete or any of the others on the first couple pages of this thread to come around any time soon. They are all still so shocked that doctors even have friends to discuss things with.....

Trent Dilfer was on Sportcenter last night saying that if Nick Foles had any sort of team around him, he wold have been rated higher than Bradford when he came out. Don't know anything about Foles but it was interesting to hear. He said the kid has got everything you need to be a NFL QB with the only knock being (not the biggest arm in the biz)

I agree with this but at the same time, BPA is going to be pointing to a WR when all is said and done. The line can be fixed in later rounds and unless there is a franchise LT available at 10, WR should be the pick. I also don't see a big time difference making LB at #10 as of now.

Why in the world would you want his attitude to change on the Bills? They are the most pathetically run organization in the league and to be honest, it feels good to hear exactly what I think about those idiots behind the curtain.

I think there is nothing worse than an easier schedule with no personality teams 1) No excitement in the stands 2) The smokescreen Bills will win 6-8 games against teams that blow - thus pushing off the franchise QB yet another year

Yes but once these guys pick outside the top 3, chances are it's going to be an idiotic mistake anyway. From what I have seen, this Jeffrey guy is a can't miss. No reason the D can't take a big jump with FA and rounds 2-7......

The way I see it is that Buffalo is stuck with Fitz and have no intention of going to get an upgrade next year. If that does prove to be the case, they have to load up with weapons. The only way Stevie is staying is with the tag and if they can get one of the top 2 WRs in the draft, the offense could get interesting (especially if the line stays healthy.) The offense is closer to being good than the defense so why not load up on one side of the Ball? After the first round, load up on pass rushers and try and steal one in FA.

I could not have been further from this thought a few weeks ago but wow, after seeing some of the top NFL wideouts break games open and now these top college WRs today, I think they can ratchet up the O and go after D in rounds 2, 3 and FA.
