UPDATE: QB Vince Young Signs With Buffalo Bills
BuffaloBaumer replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you want to blame Fitz's struggles on the offensive line injuries, Freddy going down, or the lack of a #2 receiver then fine, but the ribs excuse doesn't hold water. I can't think of anything further from the truth. An NFL QB with cracked ribs? You want to put lack of a #2 receiver ahead of that on the excuse list? You go back and watch the hit by Fletcher in Toronto and tell me he was fine...... -

UPDATE: QB Vince Young Signs With Buffalo Bills

Look at the bright side folks. Let's look at the 2006 draft again... The Bills drafted Whitner at 8 and McCargo at 26. Pretend that never happened and we actually drafted Mario Williams at #1 and Vince Young at #3. Poof, all the bad feelings are gone! -

John Harbaugh says Pats* titles are tainted
BuffaloBaumer replied to tomdayfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You could pick 3 plays from 3 games and the Patriots might even have 3 MORE SB titles 1) Welker Drop 2) Tyree Catch 3) Can't remember but there was one play against the Colts in the AFC Championship that doomed them On the flip side, I am sure there are a few plays that went for them that gave them the titles they have now. Bottom line, I would not say spygate had much to do with some pretty crazy plays over the last few years..... -
Love The Draft But Fitz Still Holds Key
BuffaloBaumer replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trust me, if Fitz IS an epic fail, Buffy and Co will have no choice but to go after a top flight QB. Jobs will be on the line and this team very well may be a QB away from contender. I think Fitz comes through though.... -
With the most talent the Bills have had on a team in over a decade, it is imperative that Fitz proves he has what it takes to take them to the next level. This talent that is being collected must not go to waste and I REALLY hope Fitz can prove to be the guy who showed up for the first part of the season last year. I see the season as playing out in one of 3 ways: 1) Fitz nails it and the Bills sneak into the post season. They are one more draft and free agency from taking a legitimate shot at the AFC 2) Fitz proves he is basically just a game manager but with the talent added from next year's draft and FA, the Bills show they can still be competitive on a yearly basis. The best scenario I see here is making the playoffs a few years but having a tough time advancing. 3) Fitz is just not the guy and the Bills must do EVERYTHING possible to get a franchise QB in next year's draft. I optimistically see the year falling somewhere between 1 and 2 as the energy is restored to the Ralph once again....

Steelers 3rd Jersey Released
BuffaloBaumer replied to uncle flap's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the Steelers uni where they have the yellow helmet are pretty sweet. One of my top 5 of all time actually. THose and the Redskins ensemble they have with their yellow helmet... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hines_Ward_throwback_2007.jpg http://bleacherreport.com/articles/532569-the-20-best-throwback-uniforms-in-sports-history#/articles/532569-the-20-best-throwback-uniforms-in-sports-history/page/12 -
If Buffalo can't pull out 10 wins from this schedule, Gailey is gone. I mean come on, what more can you ask for? If Buffalo is out of the playoff race by December again, then they are a disgrace and the entire focus of this team needs to shift to franchise QB. This team will NOT be out of the race by December 1 and then look at the last 6 out of 7 games. No excuses this year - none

Now We are Getting Redundant

I like that -
This is the first draft I can remember in a looong time where I won't mind a few different picks. I can't see myself getting overly excited or disappointed with whichever direction they choose: Reiff - happy LT is filled if they think he is good enough DeCastro - seems like a can't miss guy even if they are said to be fine at guard Kuechly - build up the D even more - fine with me Floyd - probably the most exciting pick and it would be fun to see him with Stevie

From Walter football - tough call I guess.... Buffalo Bills: Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa After signing Mario Williams and Mark Anderson, the Bills' biggest need is at offensive tackle. Buffalo has to find a left tackle to protect Ryan Fitzpatrick. Reiff was a solid left tackle for the Hawkeyes. At 6-foot-5, 313-pounds, he has the frame to add some more power. Reiff is a technician who was well-coached at Iowa. The junior looks like he has the ability to switch to right tackle, and possibly guard if needed. His natural position is left tackle, and Reiff could turn into a quality left tackle in the NFL. Some believe he would be a better fit on the right side. Reiff had a very good game this year against Pittsburgh defensive end Brandon Lindsey. The rest of Reiff's schedule this season was very manageable. He had no issues with Michigan's defenders and played well against Nebraska. Reiff didn't allow a sack to Oklahoma's Frank Alexander in the Bowl game, but did surrender a sack to R.J. Washington on a bull rush. Kansas City Chiefs: David DeCastro, G, Stanford After signing Eric Winston to upgrade their right tackle, the Chiefs can look to bolster the interior of their line with the best guard available. Kansas City could still consider a tackle since Brandon Albert could play guard, but he's in the final year of his contract. The Chiefs might also consider Dontari Poe to play nose tackle, but he is not nearly as safe a prospect as DeCastro. Kansas City may also think of trading up with Jacksonville to land Ryan Tannehill. DeCastro is so dominant that he is worth a top-15 pick. The 6-foot-5, 310-pounder is an experienced starter who was a Second-Team All-American in 2010 and a First-Team All-American this season. The Cardinal averaged 213.8 rush yards per game with DeCastro paving the way at right guard in 2010. He was an overwhelming force for the Stanford this year. You could make a strong argument for DeCastro being one of the safest picks in this draft class. He is a powerful run blocker who is phenomenal at pulling and hitting blocks on the move. DeCastro is also very good at getting to the second level of the defense and blasting linebackers. He will quickly become a run-blocking asset in the NFL. Addtionally, there is no drawback with DeCastro as a pass blocker. He has a strong base and stonewalls bull rushes, including from larger defensive tackles. DeCastro saw his best competition of 2011 when facing the University of Washington. Unfortunately, he rarely went against Huskies standout defensive tackle Alameda Ta'amu, but when DeCastro did, he beat Ta'amu on every rep. Stanford ran for 446 yards against Washington. DeCastro also had good performances against USC, Oregon and Oklahoma State.

Nike uniform unveiling discussion
BuffaloBaumer replied to Wayne Cubed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I swear to God, who comes up with this crap? Just once, I wish someone would design a plain white shirt with blue ringer and put a simple logo in the center. I could design 10 different shirts that would fly off the shelves. How about one with stripes around the shoulders. This stuff is pure garbage... -

Left Tackle Has To Be The Pick
BuffaloBaumer replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you saying that you would not love to have their LTs? Browns and Dolphins have many more holes than we do so that is why LT would be perfect. Even if the Bills did have a ton more holes, I would have drafted the same way Miami and Cleveland did....
