If he ever plays for the Patriots again, it would be a disgrace. If this guy was on the Bills, I could not get him out of this city fast enough. Just with the evidence I have heard, I would think he would never play in the NFL again but hey, these idiots tend to get away with murder all the time (literally and figuratively).

Warren sapp slams J Byrd on NFLN
BuffaloBaumer replied to taglientep's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is not getting 9 million here so I think it is safe to say he has played his last down here (unless he chooses to play one year under the tag.) If your perception is that of other teams, he WILL get paid but no way in hell it happens here. -
Warren sapp slams J Byrd on NFLN
BuffaloBaumer replied to taglientep's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with this. Maybe I am missing something but the only time I really notice Byrd is when he gets the pick. Ints are nice but when I think of an elite safety, I think of a player that is just all OVER the field all the time, every game. He is nowhere near someone like Ed Reed or some of the other top safeties. -
Stevie Johnson Thoughts On New Receivers

Not sure how to do that? -
Stevie Johnson Thoughts On New Receivers

I also have just an awesome pic and again I would NOT have asked him if it was a crowd but there he was just checking out the scene while his family was like 20 yards behind him. I would have kicked myself not getting the photo opp and did not ask for the autograph (the pic was a much better memory) -
I saw Stevie Johnson at an animal park in Varrysburg and he was standing there by himself (otherwise I would not have said anything.) Anyhow, I just said thank you to him for being a refreshing personality and much needed talent to this team. He said how excited he was about what is going on with the organization and that it should be pretty electric offense. I said you must be pretty excited about all the new weapons at WR and he mentioned that it is CRAZY talent and that Goodwin has super human speed. He added that the coaches are really putting the talent together to match the system. I told him he is going to be pretty pumped when the atmosphere at the Ralph gets back to that the level of the 90s and he said that he just loves watching tapes on that team and how fired up the crowd gets. He closed with "we'll get there and it will all be worth it." I didn't ask anything about EJ as I figured I lucked out with how natural the conversation already was. Anyhow, I thought is was pretty fun to just be talking with him like it was just 2 guys shootin the shiit

I know they all say they do in interviews but I have a hard time believing they have been on the same page in quite a few years. I think this is going to be the key to this team and I also believe that for the first time in a looong time, the system that is being installed is going to maximize the talents of this team. With the potential of Manuel along with the exciting possibilities of the WR corp and young LBs, the Ralph is going to be an even more beautiful place to be. Maybe the record this year will only reflect a handful of wins but I think this train is on the right track and this could be a pretty special group as they grow together (players and coaches) over the next several years. The atmosphere at the Ralph is going to be restored sooner than later and when it happens.......oh my.

#8 spot generating the most buzz
BuffaloBaumer replied to Billsrhody's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Literally ANYTHING but a 5'8" receiver and I'm fine (which means WR at 8). That translates to tv going off, music going on and the the BBQ continues -
Why Does Anyone Listen To "Experts" As Gospel?
BuffaloBaumer replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i just looked at some of the more recognizable scouting reports on Wilson and Kaepernick and wow, just wow.... If Buffalo had the #1 overall pick in either of those drafts, I would have been happy if Buffalo had taken them there (excluding Luck). -
Why Does Anyone Listen To "Experts" As Gospel?
BuffaloBaumer replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly, but I can't count how many times I have sen people here say xyz guy should not be taken at 8 because he is projected as 2nd to 3rd round talent..... -
If Someone had taken Russel Wilson or Kaepernick at # 8 last year, what would these so called "experts" have said? The truth is NOBODY has a clue how these guys will perform until they are in live NFL games and the chances are that there ARE 2-3 QBs who will be starting NFL caliber guys. I am actually more excited to hear the input of Marrone than I am Buddy or Whaley because I believe we have a guy (finally) that can pick out the right leader. I think he will have a lot more input than people may think and if we pick a QB at 8, I will be very excited that they think of someone that highly. If we wait until the 2nd round, so be it.....

does each team play on Thursday night again? -
Less than 2 weeks till the draft, your pick at #8
BuffaloBaumer replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am really starting to like the idea of reloading the O line. Never would I have thought this a month ago but I think whoever the QB is going to be this year is going to need all the help he can get. This gives Spiller a huge boost too so why not get someone who is going to help the team out in multiple areas right away. -
Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse
BuffaloBaumer replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is all anyone should care about. If there is a QB they really like and they think there is .0001% chance he is not there in the 2nd, take him at 8 (whoever it is) -
Can we find a QB first before people want to spend more money on a team that has been spinning its' wheels for over 15 years. I would be fine not adding anyone that costs over a couple mill util QB is found
-
Most of the big names seem to be spoken for so let's just hope they can find some good depth and maybe a starting LB. Draft a starter LB and QB and cross your fingers. Bottom line, I would not expect much flash from OBD this year during FA.
-
I don't expect much this year and that is not a slam on the Bills.I would enjoy one of two things - either grab the best LB available or top guard (other than Levitre) or just get a bunch of depth and get the starters in the draft....
