  1. If Manuel is definitely starting, I would expect to see at least a quarter of Tuel (that's why I am worried).
  2. If the Bills really are going to have to play Tuel in the opener, wouldn't you want to have him get as much play time as he can tomorrow. Yes, I know the starters will be out after one or two series but come on, Jeff Tuel is not beating the Patriots. Why not see what he can do in a half and maybe give him some confidence. Anything less than Manuel in the opener and it's all a moot point to me anyway.
  3. What ever happened to that update Marrone was supposed to get 48 after the surgery. He was supposed to find out if EJ might get back earlier....
  4. Load em up boys, this engine will be firin' on all cylinders now. Get EJ back and there won't be a game on the schedule where I feel the Bills don't have a chance.
  5. You really cant wait until you're out of the car?
  6. Thanks a lot, greatly appreciated!
  7. I know they say festivities start around 3:30 but there is no mention as to where this is taking place. My wife is taking the kids and I would like to tell her where to go and what time. For those who have attended this game in the past, any info would be helpful. I assume the Field House is a good starting point?
  8. Is all the kids stuff going on at the Field House on Friday? Anyone have suggestions for where to go - thanks
  9. The disney style parking is what still pisses me off. Meeting at Pole #1 in the main lot was a tradition from day 1
  10. The real reason I started this post was not to say that this team IS going to be different or WILL hit the ground running, it was to say that it is nice to finally feel GOOD about the direction of this team. The biggest pessimists out there cannot deny the new edginess to this team and the atmosphere that has been brought in by the youth movement (players and coaches alike.) I don't care if they prove me wrong (actually I do) and crap the bed again, the point is that I am going to enjoy every ounce of a good feeling this team is delivering to me NOW.
  11. Love that you mentioned the 4th quarter point because if these guys can keep it close going in to the 4th, that very well might be the defining quarter for this track team.
  12. This team has been absolute garbage for more than 10 years and even when those past teams put together a string of 4-5 games, you just never saw how they could keep it up. There was never a thought of wow, these guys have the talent to REALLY make some noise in this league. Well, here we are after 1 pre-season game and I have no problem getting excited about what I saw yesterday. You know why, I have not been excited about this team in forever and it's a hell of a lot more fun to feel like this than being in the mindframe that the team is spinning its' wheels. I am not going to wait until they win the division or are viewed as a contender, I am going to fire up this train right now. Get ready folks, this team seems like it actually learns from its' mistakes and I have a great feeling about the coaching staff in general. This is the fun part of being a Bills fan folks and if you can't bring yourself to be excited because you fear a letdown, then I urge you to let it loose. There will be ups and downs with this team but why not enjoy it while it's unfolding right in front of your eyes.....that parking lot for the home opener, ohhhhh myyyyyyyy
  13. I actually think they are better than the ones they have had before (which I hated, but still...)
  14. We had Art Donovan as a guest speaker for Super Bowl XXXV at our hospitality site and the guy was just pure gold. The stories and especially the way he told them were just classic. I still have the Super Bowl football he signed when he co hosted with Len Dawson at the event.
  15. I would have thought this was possible a week ago but now, I just can't see it happening
  16. I have been pretty reserved so far due to past experience but there is no holding it back any longer. Between EJ, the receivers, Keiko, Gilmore, coaches and just the overall atmosphere, it's game on for me. I REALLY feel as though this team has a chance to grow together as one and become special for years to come. I can't stop thinking about that drive to the Stadium on Opening Day and although that is always a great day for me, I think I am going to be trying with all my might to fight back some emotions. I already know what I am going to be thinking and it is that these guys are going to be the team that gives my dad that ever elusive championship some day. I just can't wait to see meaningful games in December again and hopefully that won't be too far off. Well, here is to a great season and to promising updates from Training Camp each and every day.
  17. Love reading the notes - thanks for the effort
  18. Favorite Grateful Dead Logo
  19. I would just trade this guy as soon as they get a good enough offer. He clearly is not a part of the future so, like the Ryan Miller situation, get the future playing sooner rather than later. The Bills players and coaches are all starting from scratch so let's get a guy at safety who will grow with the group as well.
  20. Pretty much hit the nail on the head as that is precisely what I was trying to get at here. I have not been able to read much of this with work but you are correct on what I intended.....
  21. Because the question was how he played after his wrist was supposedly healed....
  22. Good catch, although some of the stories I have heard over the years might lend to new race altogether
  23. Well, this is simply not true and if you would watch what elite safeties do to make the QB throw elsewhere, you will see that. And seriously, does the male race really have to use LOL - it's like a red flag every time I see it used.
  24. With the rotations that will be going on with this new defense, I am starting to think that Byrd is going to play a more important role. It just stinks that with all these seemingly positive changes going on, the Bills may not be able to hold on to one of their VERY few superstars. Although I still think Mario has a lot to offer, I am beginning to wish that that deal never happened (if it meant choosing one or the other.) Anyway, I am loving the direction this team is heading and the excitement of the players surrounding it. Win or lose this year, things are looking up and the week one game against the Pats is gonna be a hell of a place to be
