In Chicago for the game:
BuffaloBaumer replied to Billshank Redemption's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm in Buffalo but I lived in Chicago for 12 years. My roommate from college started Lincoln Station and he is from Cleveland. The Browns had moved from Cleveland so I said if I can get 50 people from Buffalo to show up opening day, will you make this a Bills Sabres bar. Sure enough, about 100 people were there that day and every game since. Then the Sabres went on their Cup run and the place was packed every other night for about 3 months. He always told me that the reason LS made it was because of the Buffalonians! He has since sold the place but my fandom claim to fame will always be the reason Lincoln Station is the Buffalo bar it is today - - too funny -

Tell the folks at Lincoln Station that the Godfather says hello! -
I honestly could not even begin to guess if EJ is going to be good enough or not. He has played so little that it is surprising that so many have written him off (maybe rightly so). Having said that, I would have never traded up to get a receiver (no matter how good he is) until the organization was convinced they have their franchise QB.

I actually started the whole Buffalo thing at Lincoln Station so I may be a little biased towards that one..... -

The lack of response from the Dr makes me think there is a bit of an internal struggle taking place? -

Not too bold but I think this is Bradys last trip to the Super Bowl where he will lose to the Pack -
Kiko Might Play This Year?
BuffaloBaumer replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a win win. Either Bills are in contention and a tough decision is made or they are out of it and he gets all the rest he needs. I think I'll take the former Thank you. ... -
Well then I guess we'll just have to look back on this game after it's played. I still think you are missing the points of what I am saying because if there ever was a game to point at, I am suggesting it is this one. Now if the Bills beat the Patriots in NE and we have a winning record, maybe that will be the new, favorite game. But then again, maybe...just maybe you hear one of our players at the end of the season as they enter the playoffs say "that Bears game really set us in the right direction and we never looked back" - ya just never know

I would hardly be shocked if Buffalo never won the Super Bowl but there is no way I will ever miss even one tailgate until the day I die. This is not a football thing, this is a FAMILY thing going on here in Buffalo. -
And if a horrendous loss spins this team out of control with QB controversy, how does whatever game you are looking at get perceived? Your game of the month might prove to be pretty insignificant by the time it is played. The Bears game has direct relevance AND importance to what you are stating...no?

Ugh, just ugh -
Exactly my point....if they come home after an ass kicking and EJ looks bad, that stadium will turn so freaking fast with EJ's very first Int. This game (division or no division) could represent the the first MAJOR step that needs to be taken. I think the coaching staff may need it more than anybody else too.

It already appears as though most people are down on this team (and probably some players) before the season has even started. With the amount of talent that currently exists, doesn't that sound a little odd? Nobody really knows how good (or bad) this Bears team may be but as far as I'm concerned, there has not been a bigger, more important game in many years. If 12 year olds are booing this team in pre-season, how long before 70K plus turns on this team if things go South in the home opener. Now imagine what the atmosphere would be like if the team came home 1-0 after an impressive victory in Chicago. The confidence of the team and the electricity of the crowd would most likely compare to that of the Dallas Monday nighter a few years back. I truly think more is riding on this Chicago game than many might believe. If there is to be a losing scenario, EJ has to look good in doing so. Is it only one game? Yes, but if there was ever ONE game to springboard a season, this is going to be it. I am looking at this one as a playoff game and as crazy as that may seem, if they pull it off, you are going to see a playoff like atmosphere in only week 2 of this ever so critical season.

Anybody hear John Clayton's comments this morning?

Is it really that hard to figure out the difference between that good teams and the bad teams. Let's just go through the teams that have made the playoffs the last few years....now WHAT could they possibly have that we don't......hmmmm
