actually i was just curious what some think we should do considering Lee is a FA and our WR group isnt the best in the world....its not so far fetched that a 2nd round WR doesnt pan out and we are back at square 1.

i've been reading this board for several years now, but i've just noticed how many immature fools post on a consistent basis. Every post starts with an opinion (which is what a board is for) and then the poster is immediately attacked and there is just bullsh-t responses. Many of you must be really bored needing to start so much sh-- all the time. Get a hobby or a girlfriend or something. What if hardy is a bust? do we draft another WR next year? trade for one? count on roscoe, lee and josh this year? mike williams a suppossed 'cant miss' didnt even see the field his 1st year. or the dude for the saints last year.....our offense cant afford that this year if we want to go anywhere.

I have a bad feeling this guy isnt going to translate into a legimate NFL WR. I wouldnt mind sitting here today with Devin Thomas and Malcom Kelley on the roster...with the high probabilty of WR busts the skins hedged their bet....

for a backup DE he seemed to put a good bit of pressure on the QB...and he was one of the only guys to show emotion and try and get everyone fired up on the sidelines.

agree. schobel had one down year (and still went to pro bowl) and everyone is down on him. if healthy, we will be fine. i believe in points scored against we were in the middle of the pack last year anyways....we just gave up a ton of yardage.

id still rather have pothead Hargrove than this guy. He always seemed to bring it for a backup DE.

If the offense looks like the same as last year then we have to say its Jaurons style; but at this point i'm putting the blame for such a vanilla offense on Fairchild. Hopefully with Trent coming in and staying in the starting role we have some consistency, and if Turk doesnt open it up after getting DJ's big tall reciever he wanted then its on DJ. For now, its waayyy to early to tell.

does every thread end up with 2 or 3 people arguing like children back and forth? Kind of humerous....apparently its not ok to 'dislike the draft', 'dislike the coaching staff and front office', and its even better to call out spelling, grammar mistakes, take it personal etc etc.......grow up. 1st 3 picks were solid, not sure about the remaining. Sick of drafting TE's in mid-late rounds, RB was a ??, 3 CB's was a bit much, would have liked to see some more depth at DL/DE. I would have even looked at drafting another potential # 2 WR earlier if Hardy ends up a bust. I also dont understand why everyone is happy about drafting for 'ST'. Thats not exactly my # 1 goal for coming out of the draft is filling in ST to take roles of the likes of Sam Aiken etc...

Liked McCelvin, liked Hardy, ok with Ellis (needed a DE), not too sure about Corner, Fine seems like another Schouman pick to me, RB? really...seems like a wasted pick here with our more glaring needs, dont know much about the LB...might have liked to see Erin Henderson, CB in 7th round blew my mind. Would think another D or O line pick would have been better...can all or CB's even make the roster? I've never seen so much fighting in one fan base. Skins Eagles fans fight less than this board.

he wont make the roster. where is our LB/DE depth? I'd rather not see Ellison or Digorgio see the field again

Who knows what these players are going to turn out to be; but I too am a little baffled at some of our position selections in each respective round. I know nothing about Fine, but it seems we have been drafting mid to late round TE's fairly consistently recently and havent hit yet. RB that early kind of surprised me as well....with ML, Freddie and DW I'm a little surprised we drafted this guy unless he's being considered a full back (would have rather seen a true FB - Schmidt) if that is the case. Corner was a little surprising, seems he could be in the same mold as kiwakee thomas we just cut. Again who knows how these guys will turn out, but when we drafted was a little confusing. interested to hear front office post draft press conferences.

still need to trade up! SF, STL et will still look at WR...

need to trade up to get a top WR. unless we want to wait for jordy nelson which is what kiper had us doing....if he calls it he's a genius

if we can get away with our 2nd and 4th to get in the bottom of 1st, i'd do it and get sweed (if TN doesnt take him)....there will be a run on WR soon...and we could be left in dark.

agree with most others that you cant just 'trade down' when you decide to. I dont think our front office will take the risk, b/c with Hardy, Sweed, Thomas, Kelly and maybe 1 or 2 others - there is a decent drop off from there talent wise. If you look at the draft board - Cincy, Philly, Skins, Tampa Bay, Dallas, Tennessee, San Fran, Carolina - to name a few - all could potentially draft WR based on needs. I wouldnt take that risk of losing 'our guy'. I could see us drafting WR at 11 - b/c that is our BIGGEST NEED at this point, and maybe trading back in to bottom of 1 for a CB.

I cant believe i'm actually responding to this b/c this whole idea is absoultely ridiculous. Edge - age - 29. surpassed 1,000 yards the past 5 years. Shaun Alexander - age 30 - has NOT surpassed 1,000 yards the past 2 years AND has been injured during both seasons. I'm not against getting Boldin, i love the guy. I'm just saying signing and trading Alexander and a 4th, or Alexander and a player to be named 'later' - Lee Evans in 2009 - - is just stoooopid for thinking its possible. And yes, our cap hit would not be worth it either b/c Alexander isnt going to sign for a 'back loaded' contract at age 30.

I understand the reasoning behind it...but tell me why Alexander would bother coming to Buff in hte first place? you are telling him you are trading him? James has been more productive than Alexander the last 2 years. AZ doesnt/cant pay Boldin, so what happens when Lee's contract is up next year? they have to pay him too and he's on the same level as boldin.

Rivers hasnt played one down in the NFL...I dont understand how anyone can say this kid is going to step in and be a playmaker...any more than one bashing a WR at 11 b/c its too high and the WR's '40%-50% success rate'. Lasted i checked LB werent going at success rates of 80-90%. We drafted Puz last year, sign KM this offseason. Crowell is the only main stay on our defense from last year (puz injured), i HIGHLY doubt that we'd want to add another newbie into the mix. Sign Crowell...he IS a playmaker. If you all are that worried about getting after the QB then we should be looking at DE, b/c Kelsay doesnt cut it. Sweed at 11, Cason (CB) from AZ 2nd.

Really? do you honestly think that would work? wow. and besides, Alexander is over the hill..he sucks. If Arizona wanted him, theyd sign him...Alexander is not going to come to Buffalo when we have a proven # 1 and competent # 2.
