Didn't make too many big name signings at this point last year. They were 1 and 15, if you forgot. I'm sure their fans weren't thrilled they didn't bring in too many guys. They made the playoffs at 11-5. Changing out the staff seemed to make more of a difference than whatever their minimal FA moves were.

Ralphs Playmakers?
cantstopbeastmode replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, I just get frustrated when people think the only problem is talent. So it sent me on a rant. But yeah, you're right. -
Ralphs Playmakers?
cantstopbeastmode replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we have every bit as much talent as the Dolphins, Pats without Brady and Falcons. All of their seasons kicked the sh-- out of ours. Which impact player did Miami bring in to switch from 1-15 to 11-5? Chad Pennington? Jake Long? They really gave them an extra 10 wins? You could argue that Dallas has as many Pro Bowl type impact players as anyone. Unfortunately, they didn't make the playoffs. Hmm, is there more to it than talent???? -
More of the Dockery trade

Don't we all agree Steve Johnson is a player? I understand that 7th rounders might not have the most value, but even a minimal gain is a gain. -
Ralphs Playmakers?

You're right. Lynch, Jackson, Evans, Reed, Parrish, Schobel, Stroud, Poz, Mitchell, McKelvin, McGee, Peters all suck. Fans like you don't get it, my friend. Dick is the problem. -
I can't be sure, but I think he's referring to the Jim Calhoun rant.

Why is it common among nfl fans
cantstopbeastmode replied to cantstopbeastmode's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wouldn't most ppl agree its more important that an analyst should be good at grading them moreso than predicting them? The draft is ridiculously hard to predict. Just look at the Bills. Its reasonable that we take Orakpo, Maybin, Brown, Raji, Jerry, Cushing, Mauluga, Pettigrew, and even a center with our 1st pick. That's just us. Theoretically, the teams ahead of us should have even more holes. How can a man be expected to know exactly what GMs leaguewide are thinking? -
To hate on Mel Kiper? I understand that he can't always predict where a guy will go, or exactly how good he will do, but he does a !@#$in great job if you ask me. He evaluates hundreds of players and can tell you literally anything you want to know about them. When we draft guys like Reggie Corner out of Akron and Alvin Bowen from Iowa St, I know exactly what to expect, just because of that guy. Knowing sh-- about a prospect and determining what they'll be like as a pro are completely different stories. Even the Polian's of the world have messed up draft picks before, believe it or not. Kiper studies every bit of information he can gather and knows it inside out. He's miles ahead of McShay. Mayock is very good, along with Kiper. McShay really seems to just toss out the public opinion. Jamarcus Russell has a strong arm, Michael Crabtree is good at catching, Mark Sanchez is great because he's from USC, Darren McFadden is fast, etc. Kiper could tell you Steve Johnson's body fat percentage. I don't think that there's even a comparison between the two. If you think Kiper is just on ESPN because of his hair, then find me the next guy who can tell you everything you'd ever want to know about the 6th round prospects and loves doing so. Thoughts? Disclaimer: I really can't stand ESPN sometimes. So much of their stuff is ridiculous. You'd think only Blake Griffin and Hasheem Thabeet and Stephen Curry play college basketball. Tom Brady and Randy Moss must take the field by themselves. Tiger Woods is the only golfer ever. I think the one thing that they actually do have going for them is Kiper. Instead of knowing that Matt Stafford has a good arm, he can tell you the strengths and weaknesses of Drew Willy.

Agreed that he may have just known what was coming and reacted to it, but in any case I still think he's our best. Good breakdown, though. I love reading that kind of stuff instead of "TRADE LYNCH FOR A 2ND AND A 4TH!!!!"

1st Round and Bills Entire Mock
cantstopbeastmode replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fair enough. I kinda subscribe to the "if you suck, and you can take a qb like stafford, you do it" crowd. Also, the "QBs tend to go 1st overall" crowd kinda had me thinking he'd go to the lions. I really have no crystal ball to know what they really think, but I mean just judging by how it usually works out, you would think stafford would be the pick. Good work overall, though. -
1st Round and Bills Entire Mock
cantstopbeastmode replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't mean this to sound as offensive as it will, but have you seen stafford play? He has every bit as good of an arm as cutler and has experience/intangibles. I don't know how you could say he's not worth 1st overall. -
You and the poster who said it was a dying quail simply just don't know how to watch tape. Did I say it was the best interception ever? No. Was the coverage excellent? Hell yeah. From a broader standpoint, yeah, another passrusher is brutally needed. I've been supporting that all along. All I'm saying is, the man can cover. If you don't think so after watching that tape, you're misguided.

1st of all, greer is the best cover man on our team(until he leaves). show me otherwise after watching this play. 2nd of all, all you poz haters, this goes to show you he can play when used correctly. 3rd of all, anyone who says jauron/fewell isnt the problem, when we blitz and man cover, look at the !@#$ing result. when we sit in a soft zone, guys carve us up all day. unfortunately, fewell doesnt catch on. http://bills.fandome.com/video/105827/Week...ng-going-Greer/

leonhard to sighn with jets
cantstopbeastmode replied to fifi82's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So you think if we had played the ravens this year, with leonhard as their starting safety, evans would have had more than 2-3 catches for about 40 yards? -
Jauron speaks for first time in two months

You mean to say that you don't think Belichick has gotten lucky every time the Pats have stomped us the past few years? -
Jauron speaks for first time in two months
cantstopbeastmode replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey man, it is really hard to throw against soft zone coverage. Kurt Warner really struggled against us. So did Chad Pennington. So did Jay Cutler. -
Umm, we "reached" for Whitner to a huge degree, and even Evans/Lynch were supposed to go behind where we took them. The only guy who was a "value pick" in the top 15 the past few years is McKelvin, and if you think he's the reason we suck then something's the matter with you.

why are fans excited about the draft

Agreed. Poland = F**king ridiculous, always wrong, needs to shut the f**k up. -
[closed]I think we need to give Lynch a break

We would lose even more than we already do, bud. -
Haha. Hahahaha. Hahahahahahaaha. Too funny, Poland.

Enjoy mediocraty. And at first i used the word pus sy but it didnt let me. You can feel free to call me that, too, if you want.

Your a B word. I bet the Bills would hire you. Football talent > Model citizenship. Do the Steelers fans care that Ben rode a motorcycle without a helmet, or that he threw the game-winner to Santonio? Do they care than Santonio smokes weed, or that he makes amazing catches in the Super Bowl? We lose Lynch, we lose our best player. I think I'll take my odds on him not hitting someone one of us knows if that means our team can get a 1st down every once in a while.

I never see McGee make plays. That's how it is. I personally played CB in high school. I like the position. I pay attention. Greer's always with his man and never gets picked on. McGee gets beat a lot. I would like to know how you quantify him being good. He's a decent player, never really gets burned, but not nearly the cover man Greer is.
