So he's going from the UFL, to the supermarket, back into the NFL?
-
The best guy on that list is Andre Davis!

I would have taken John Henderson or Freeney, but who else that we would have drafted that high was really an option without 20/20 hindsight? That was a crap draft in R1.

Scott gets fresh start in Buf..
SuperKillerRobots replied to Dan III's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe the next Peters/Bell/Butler. All late rounders who the Bills' poor coaching staff was able to coach into prominant role. -
I think the move might be to go nickle with 3 safeties and Scott on Shockey, but that only really works in obvious passing downs. I have a feeling they are going to try to keep Scott on him all day playing man with safety help.

I think being a realist, as far as judging NFL teams goes, means that you have to accept the "any given Sunday" and "that's why they play the games" themes. The talent on teams is pretty close from an athletic standpoint and I think coaching, while very important, is somewhat overrated. In the end, I feel like a lot of it is about motivation on the players part. Basically being a realist, in my mind, means that the odds are this Sunday, we lose, but it's by no means a foregone conclusion and there is enough evidence to suggest that the game may be close or we could win (i.e. San Diego game last year - holding down a powerful offense, weather, how our new RT holds up, howw their o-line holds up). Being a realist does not mean that you bet the odds and call it infallible logic. By the way, good to have you back jw.

Crabtree to re-enter draft
SuperKillerRobots replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They get tested at the combine, not after they sign the contract. He already passed a test and is most likely not a drug addict. Why are weirdos and people with odd behavior always labeled drug addicts? Some people are just naturally stupid and self-involved. -
Why not re-sign Walker?
SuperKillerRobots replied to BuffaloBillsMagic1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't imagine why anyone, after seeing the o-line this year, would want anyone other than Butler on it from last year. I think the reason Walker won't be re-signed is because he never had the mean streak that the rest of the o-line now has. Even D Bell is a hell of a warrior out there. Notice how at the end of plays this year, our entire o-line isn't on the ground like last year. This year our line does the ass-kicking, not the other way around. -
"Bills DT Williams turned loose"

Alright we lost a heartbreaker... BUT...

A short pass with a bad connotation. -
Brandon should assess Lynch's market value
SuperKillerRobots replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only if you get a player back at a position of need for our team that is under 28 years old. I can't really think of who or what they could get for him, but I'd bet that it wouldn't be worth it at this point. If there were an injury on another team then maybe, but even then good teams trying to win it all this year aren't going to trade a quality player mid-season that would help us. They would more than likely look to give up a draft pick, which would almost certainly be worse than the one we used to pick him, since I can't see a team giving up a number 1 for him. He's still too young and unproductive to get anything for him that makes a trade make sense. -
Could the Bills be 6-2 at the break?
SuperKillerRobots replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I definitely agree that they cannot lose the TOP battle by 16 minutes against NO, or any other team with a decent offense. I do think that if you take away D Bell's penalties on the Reed catch and then on the Jackson run, that TOP becomes tighter. The offense looked like it could hold and move the ball well enough to stay in the game. If they had held the ball 5 more minutes thoughout the game, I gotta believe that we win this at the end with our pass rush. I also have a feeling tha thte no-huddle is a direct response tot he 3-4 teams in our division. They all employ those big tackles (and D linemen), who should have a hard time playing against our offense as a series moves on. The key will be sustaining drives to at least 5 plays to take advantage of that. Wilfork looked tired in the 2nd quarter and I would expect the rest of the AFC East NTs to look the same when playing us. -
Donte Whitner harassed on Twitter
SuperKillerRobots replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's funny that the flip side of the Twitter coin has surfaced. All these athletes want a direct line to the fans so they don't have to deal with the media and are able to shape their own persona. Here is the downside - now everyone can read some fat idiot rip Donte from his couch and Donte has to read it (or at elast delete it). I wonder how long it will take to have athletes say it's too personal for them. Seriously though, whatever anyone thinks about the poor guy, you'd think they would try to take it to him like that - must have a lot of time on his hands. -
Langston Walker Update
SuperKillerRobots replied to Bad Lieutenant's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still think he's a decent player and worth having on your team even as a starter, as long as you are not going to run an offense that requires him to not get his breath in between plays though. -
What makes you think he'd want to play for us and that we'd pay another 30 year old DE a ridiculous amount of money?

Jaws blasts the "no huddle"
SuperKillerRobots replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll preface this by saying that I like Jaws and his opinions, but this is the same guy who said JP would be a good one (agreed with Wyche on it). Nobody's right all the time. -
It's actually genius - how else do you sell jerseys for the third string QB?
-
So you think the answer to our O-line problem is a guy who couldn't make one of the worst teams in the AFC!? At least it's original - and you start off with an insult to msot of the board, which makes everyone think your not an !@#$. Good for you, Dick.

Text of Owens conference call with Boston media
SuperKillerRobots replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I gotta agree there - we haven't had anyone on this team in 10 years that's had the balls to say something like that about the Pats. That statement was worth at least $5 mil. -
apparently mario haggan.....
SuperKillerRobots replied to bbillsfan87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Out of all the ST only LBs we've carried on the roster, Haggan was the only one I thought would have much of a future in the league and I was surprised to see him not re-signed after his supension. He's a big guy too. -
They smile in your face...
SuperKillerRobots replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It sounded from the article that Turk was being told to run the offense a certain wa, but never actually ran it. If DJ kept telling him to make changes and he wasn't doing them or only doing them superficially, then he really isn't running DJ's system. Maybe DJ is an offensive genius that can't relate his vision to an OC or hasn't found one that could understand it. -
This is way better than the other thread.

Or maybe this was calculated all along. They knew they were going to be bad this year, but they don't want to admit it to the fans so they can sell out the season. So they sign TO and say everything is all right, give the fans some hope that LW can fill the void. Then they change a whole bunch of crap right before the season starts, so they still have the tickets sold, but now in fact are going in the right direction. It's win-win for them and another sh------- year for us.
