  1. I will give credit to Schobel & Denney, both are good at defending against the run. But the DE's main job is to put pressure on the QB, and neither one has done a great job of it the last 2 years (even when Schobel was healthy last year & this year). No QB pressure means good QB's in the league will continue to make plays and eat our defense up (See the Cards game & our 3 division losses).
  2. How in the hell can 2 LB's replace a DE?
  3. Our DE's suck, bottom line. Kelsay & Denney are 3rd stringers, not 2nd stringers or starters. If we cut Schobel, we're gonna take a big hit with the salary cap issues. So if we trade him or package him in on a trade, then we won't take such a hit. Yes, Schobel is the best DE we have, but he's currently not playing and hasn't played for a while, and when he was healthy, he hasn't done anything since the 06' season. So in that regard, is he really worth $7 million a year? You are right, the Bills need to wait and get players to fill the positions before they start cutting people loose. But DE is our biggest weakness on the team.
  4. Peppers would be a great addition to our team. I think Denney & Kelsay should be cut loose after the season.
  5. The Bills need to win out. Even at 10-6, we will lose any tiebreakers with the other AFC teams since we already are 4-4 in the conference & 0-3 in the division.
  6. Schobel had 5 or 6 sacks last year, and didn't do much this year when he was healthy. For a guy that makes $7 million a year, you expect a hell of a lot more in return. I don't know why Schobel hasn't been placed on IR? Any word on his injury? Is he's close to coming back? My point on Schobel is we're shelling out a ton of money to him, one- he hasn't earned it, I thought he was overpaid when given the contract extension (I'm not saying he's a bad player, but not worth the $49 million contract he got), two- he possibly is damaged goods with his inury.
  7. I think Denney should be cut loose. Trade Schobel in a package deal in order to move up high in the 1st round to draft an impact DE. Are there any good DE's coming up in free agency in the offseason?
  8. Another F@!king Vick thread. Give me a break already! There's no way in hell Vick comes to Buffalo. I even doubt Roger Goodell will reinstate him when his jail time is up. Vick has all the physical tools, but is a piece of sh@t just like Travis Henry.
  9. Okay, I know it's a great shot of her beautiful butt. I'll look for another good pic of Leryn or any other girl.
  10. I'm just wondering why Roger Goodell has made several visits to the Buffalo area this year & Jim Kelly is always on the sidelines. Could something be in the works for Jim to become owner or minor owner of the Bills?
  11. So far, I have to agree. We can only hope he bulks up and gets better, otherwise he will need to go as well. I'd give him 1 more year, if he doesn't get any better, cut him.
  12. The only DE I would keep is Chris Ellis, only because he is a rookie and has potential to grow. I would cut Schobel, Kelsay & Denney. Kelsay & Denney are 3rd stringers on other teams. Schobel is way overpaid and when he was healthy this year, he barely did anything (1 sack).
  13. I'd trick that SOB to come in for a workout, only to have him caged up with a bunch of rabid dogs that would tear his ass up. PHUQ VICK!!!!
  14. If I remember correctly, the 89' Bills were considered the "Bickering Bills", when Jim Kelly threw Howard Ballard under the bus and the rest of the team started pointing fingers at Kelly. Once the bickering was finished, the Bills had a great 1990 season. So maybe airing the dirty laundry and some bickering might be helpful at this point. There's a lot of blame to go around.
  15. Can we throw Jauron under the bus (literally).
  16. That's my point. It's just not a coincedence. Once Reed went down our offense (especially our QB) has not been the same. The Bills have no #2 receiver. I wouldn't even consider Reed a legit #2 WR. I blame the Bills FO for not getting a veteran WR in the offseason.
  17. After watching him in the 1st quarter, I would have to agree. I'm not ready to throw the towel in on the guy. Hopefully he will bloom into a good QB like Drew Brees did. It took Brees a while but he finally became a good QB.
  18. Since Josh Reed went down with an injury, our offense and especially Trent Edwards has not been the same. Lee Evans has not been able to get open. Our other WR's have not been able to step up and fill the void. And Trent Edwards doesn't have a reliable WR to consistently throw it to. Trent seems shell shocked out there and has taken several steps back since Reed has been down. Anyone have any updates on Reed's injury status?
  19. I'm wondering if we go 7-9 for a 3rd year in a row, does Dick keep his job? Did Steve Fairchild start possessing the body of Turk Schonert? Did Losman start possessing the body of Edwards? Josh Reed goes out with an injury and our whole offense goes down the tubes?! I think Bruce Smith at his age now could get more pressure on the QB than the clowns we have at DE.
  20. I agree, I was miserable all night long after the game & today as well.
  21. I agree 100% We should give some praise to Derek Fine as well. He had 4 grabs for the day, plus his first NFL catch went for a TD.
  22. I just think most of us are very frustrated because we know this team is better than how they performed over the last 2 weeks.
  23. This post is quite funny!!
  24. That would be quite nice!
