  1. Looks like a winery on the west side of Keuka to me...maybe Bully Hill or Heron Hill...?
  2. I'm old and crotchety, so I don't see how I can divorce the action of becoming illegal, perpetrated by a person, from that person. When I do finally figure that one out, I'll immediately go to work on determining what is is.
  3. When the Associated Press is writing about her/him! The AP has revised its Style Book to do away with the term illegal immigrant and replace it with immigrant here illegally. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/04/03/hey-republicans-words-matter-and-ap-illegal-immigrant-decision-proves-it/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+foxnews%2Fopinion+%28Internal+-+Opinion+-+Mixed%29&utm_content=Google+International I think this distinction is an important addition to the whole media-sucks-up-to-POTUS thingy. I'm just in a dither now as I raise my personal awareness to its highest PC level in keeping with the new normal over at the AP....
  4. Encouraging banks to free up mortgage money for prospective buyers with poor credit is POTUS' "economic" tactic to counter the banking industry's current desire to hoard their capital as evidenced by their reluctance to loan money to prospective buyers with good to great credit. Don't even bother to reread the above as it makes as little sense as POTUS' policies on a whole continuum of matters....
  5. Crap, I thought this thread was about those little oranges....
  6. I'm done chasing this team. I'm on the bench 'til they prove their worth/interest to me. So, does that make me a bandwagon fan? Will I observe skeptically from afar as the team goes through the spring, summer and early fall? Will I shake my head at moves made in the apparent lack of any sort of plan? Will I denigrate them to anyone who'll listen (They've taken enough from me, it's my turn to tar and feather them.)? You betcha!
  7. Medicare officials and insurance companies are also considering the liposuction off-shoot - Takdafatotomy. The questions center on applicability to the DC fat cats. Film at 11:00!
  8. Yeah, but they got the guy's monkey; that don't seem right....
  9. There is no truth to the rumor that the city of Rochester, NY is considering this vessel as the successor centerpiece to the most recent fast ferry debacle.... http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/03/30/1-750g-bid-for-unwanted-alaska-ferry-worth-80m/?test=latestnews
  10. Where's the outrage, the ululating, the gnashing of teeth? They up and took the man's monkey for God sake! http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/music/news-and-interviews/Germans-seize-Justin-Biebers-monkey/articleshow/19304678.cms
  11. Do smart business people consider constructing a building when their business plan is filled with question marks? Is it prudent to design a facility for a use that may disappear in the very near future, possibly before ground is ever broken? Of course, not; but the differences I see in thinking about a stadium is that the plan, either overt or covert, is to sucker the taxpayers into holding the bag. Scare tactics, fear mongering, etc. will become the tactic de jure in the not-too-distant future, e.g., "The Bills represent an key piece of the economic backbone of our area, we simply can't afford to lose the team to another city." Take a breath, see what comes next....
  12. maddenboy, I've got this bridge in a major metropolitan area that I'd like to sell to balance my portfolio, interested?
  13. Not Berllusconi; we've got our own bunga bunga bungler, thank you.
  14. The Vietnam segment of the show is just shameful. Producers owe all of us an apology.
  15. http://www.lewrockwell.com/reese/reese494.html Is it just this easy? Could we resolve a lot of problems if we just turned the dolts out of these five hundred forty-five positions? Are there enough of us in the USA who are well and truly tired of this sad act being reprised year after year? I guess not yet....
  16. OK, here's another thought: If our President can go to foreign countries and broker compromise and good will, how about asking the President/Premier/leader of other countries to come here and attempt to resolve some of the thorny domestic issues we're facing? C'mon, some of those Scandinavian leaders must have some ideas in their hip pockets that would help us out of our hissy-fit congressional entanglements. A bit unusual, you say, asking for assistance with domestic affairs? Well, our current guy only seems effective dealing with someone else's issues; he can't seem to get his head around the problems here. Maybe we start small--send Harry Reid to Thailand and invite someone from Canada to sit in for him for a bit, eh?
  17. I have a # of ?'s about this occurrence, the most important of which I won't ask for fear of being portrayed in an unintended manner, so I'll just chalk the whole deal up to one more reason why I think the social media explosion is totally out of control. Other than TBD, I stay strictly away from public sites; I can catch enough grief right here!
  18. Bills shouldn't look at Obama in FA; while he may be offensive, he appears unable to actually tackle anything....
  19. POTUS, the fixer, strikes again! Once more the keen ability to bring others together demonstrates our dear leader's political acumen. http://www.theaustra...o-1226603952915 However, the inept schlub just can't seem to wield his vast experience at brokering compromise here in CONUS! Whatta' phoney!
  20. Should we support the content or the insincerity...?
  21. Why not, there are time when our OBD brain trust act like teenagers given their decision-making.
  22. And the tragic piece of this puzzle is that we continue to send these @holes back to DC time after time. Shame on us!
