  1. Come the opening of the next NYS legislative session the only thing that Sheldon Silver will be behind is a podium...unfortunately. Too many "friends" in high places. If/when he is ever tried and convicted it's possible some of his enemies will step into the daylight and depose him from the legislature; but until that time his co-thugs will circle the wagons and take names of those who withdraw their support.
  2. Of course, all means everyone, both are categories within which he snuggly fits.... So, a lot of charities will soon reap the harvest he has accumulated as he divests himself of the chains of wealth to assume his rightful place as a hewer of wood and drawer of water. O not....
  3. Saw it last night. DCTom's "analysis" above pretty much does it for me. See it, but think about it as you're watching. Don't let the sound effects get in the way, think about the concept of the fog of war applying to the home front too.
  4. He does exhibit a unique skill set: Seventy-five yard run in the first quarter followed by sixteen two yard gains for the rest of the game. Vaya con Dios, CJ.
  5. I'm shocked since there's no need for layoffs in this burgeoning economy. I'm sure there is some mistake here; let's call the White House and get the real story.
  6. "My home office for my company is in a superb of Boston,...." 'Nuf said.
  7. Who in their right mind would ever put Belichick and/or Brady in front of a microphone to represent their multi-million dollar enterprise? Between the two of them the arrogance, aloofness, and boorish approach to the matter at hand flowed freely.
  8. Given Papa Joe's transgressions, beginning with plagiarism in college and continuing to the present day, one might deem the thread title an oxymoron.
  9. Holy LBGT, Batmanperson, they're all around us. Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara are on a partners get-away weekend, whatever shall we do....?
  10. Assuming the Patriots are even troubled over the Deflategate evidence; they've launched a counter-strike to cloud the issue. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000459954/article/pats-file-tampering-charges-due-to-jets-revis-comments
  11. It's probably fair to say the Biden hasn't "been home" in a long long time.
  12. But aren't you just cementing home zonabb's point about the sport/stadium becoming an upper crust "destination" that leaves the hewers of wood and drawers of water (from whence the hardcore Bills fan come) out in the cold (no pun intended)?
  13. As a former Superintendent of Schools permit me to say the Sup't referenced above should step back and think about who he works for and what the objectives of public schools are before making such a stupid statement. As I always say, "You can't shine $#!t."
  14. After looking at some video footage of the OBD facilities, I question whether a new stadium is needed. At the very least, some foresight was needed to stop the most recent round of renovations. http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Behind-the-Scenes-Rexs-First-48-Hours-in-Buffalo/ebebd619-277a-45b9-9a36-0dcb5fa6c06a?campaign=fb_buf_video
  15. I always pictured Kerry as somewhat of a hummer, so having JT sing to him is on point in my world.
  16. It appears that an important core value for many in our society is waiting: Waiting for someone else to identify each individual's problem, then designing a plan, hand-out, remedy, or other means of fixing the problem. Of course, waiting can also be "productive" in that one can take part in protests against the length of time spent waiting for someone else to solve one's problems, Sheeesh, will we ever stop with the handouts and value initiative, regular work and satisfaction from a job well done?
  17. Thanks, but like most of us I have sunny days and gray days. The latter are beginning to outweigh the former, but we'll soldier on.
  18. The story is just a troll for some really funny comments!
  19. The Mocker-in-Chief has been proven wrong once again, this time with regard to the current low oil prices. Not only has his negative "position" on increased oil production leading to lower prices been proven wrong; he's now attempting to take credit for the outcomes. No surprise here.... http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/01/13/dems-change-tune-after-mocking-gop-for-drill-baby-drill/
  20. Got my wife up and about, made breakfast for us, did laundry, read some of my current book, made lunch, watched Dallas lose (thank you Jesus), made dinner, finished laundry, got wife in bed...and that's it for the most part. Worried some about the "tomorrows" and how I'll handle them, but then remembered that Dallas lost, so all is well for now.
  21. Yikes, I almost got trampled by folks heading for the bandwagon! So I'll step back and see what happens from now 'til next January.
  22. I'm just loving' this thread as it detracts from my bottomless sadness about the Ryan hiring. Fight on, you devotees of our fractured application of justice.
  23. In this age of teams needing a hair stylist and choreographer on the coaching staff, I guess adding a Mr Bluster type head coach to drive the clown car really doesn't matter.
  24. Oh...Oh (Think Horshack here), I've always envied those forward slashes.
