Roll Call - Who would have preferred to lose?
Keukasmallies replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, tomorrow wins are more important than today wins; I don't think so! Luck, truck, schmuck...who knows what tomorrow brings? Win 'em all, establish a winning attitude, find out who has heart and who needs to be sent on down the road; then, next year, draft the best of the players we need and go from there. -
So, let's go 1 - 15 through the season for the right to "...put on a blindfold, reach into a bag and pick out a potential player's name; then sign him for an obscene amount of $ in order to see if he might become an NFL player?" Sounds like a shaky business plan to me....

Fiscal Commission Release Recommendations
Keukasmallies replied to Andy Rooney's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I have no problem doing my part by accepting the Social Security, Medicare, etc. cuts that impact me AFTER I receive assurances that the fiscal gymnastics that created the problems that give rise to the need to make cuts have been identified and stopped. -
Jehuu Caulcrick to the Bills
Keukasmallies replied to The_Philster's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Reading this post is like following a group of homeless guys picking through trash cans. Are there any other castoffs, wanna be/never will be's out there we should consider? Fellas, the organization is sick from top to bottom. We need radical surgery, followed by a long period of therapy, to fix our problems and rejoin the NFL. Neither one nor a collection of second and third tier ex-players will save us. We need to stop with the Tylenol and convince Ralph to schedule the surgery! -
Freest Press in the World?
Keukasmallies replied to Cheeseburger_in_paradise's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It sounds like the concentric circle concept applies to the definition of journalistic freedom. Lots of decision points where, for whatever reason, bias, control, etc. could be/is exercised. Maybe one test of the extent of journalistic freedom is the number of levels at which one is free to make those decisions, e.g., fewer levels equals less freedom. -
What do u consider a winning season

Fewer than five arrests of players that make the papers..... -
It's like the Bills are the place that the elephants go to die....

Matthews lost it on MSNBC
Keukasmallies replied to whateverdude's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It's been reported that Matthews and Olberman went back stage and ripped the arms and legs off their dolls. -
The New Monroe County Voting System Was Designed
Keukasmallies replied to Steely Dan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Just take a minute and think about the "old" machines: Are we currently paying to store them? How many of them are spread across NYS? Are they recyclable? Probably the same questions to be asked about any given piece of equipment that government decides is obsolete.... -
So, just six and one-half more hours to vote against all incumbents here in the Empire State! When in doubt, send 'em all home!!
-
Of course, "R" could always indicate renew, revitalize, reconstruct, etc.; while "D" could "D"enote dying, disaster, demoralize....

OK guys, we've whacked away at each other for a bit, so let me close with a restatement of the original post: Throw the "offspring of unwed parents" out of office in droves. What's the worst that can happen, ineffective and unresponsive government?
-
to cast your ballot for all challengers and not give a single incumbent your vote. No worthy challengers; write in "Fix Government." Throw the "offspring of unwed parents" out of office in droves. What's the worst that can happen, ineffective and unresponsive government?

Our Last Draft is Another Bust
Keukasmallies replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Given that yesterday is the best predictor of tomorrow, I fear the NEXT draft by the Buffalo Bills will be a bust too! If you always do what you always did; you always get what you always got. -
I indebted to whomever coined the phrase "bicycle fag." As soon as I read it I began to fill the accompanying concept bag with spandex, squirt bottles, recumbent bikes, Starbuck's coffee cup litter and curbside protest signs. Wow, bicycle fags!

What is wrong with America? The technification of America is what's wrong w/ America. Too much information (or psuedo-information), available to too many people, at warp speed results in major bouts of conclusion jumping, media talking head-itis, and just plain info burn-out. Slow down, keep it local, check facts, make your own determination.

At one point, Jim Kelly had a restaurant in downtown Buffalo. As I recall he stiffed vendors and investors when it went belly up. Do investors really want to do business with him?

Time frame for a turnaround?

Two years after RW passes away and the team moves to [fill in the blank]. -
I'm positive that there has never been a worse Bills team....

A dose of reality for the hysteria
Keukasmallies replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Alpha, your comments may well be true. Nevertheless, what rankles me is the "continue to buy our product, we'll get it fixed one of these years..." attitude of management. Would you continue to buy sour milk from a dairy having problems, or would you choose another brand at the store? My frustration is that people continue to spend their hard-earned $ to support a team that has no real direction. Of course, the way people spend their money is no business of mine, except that it enables the Bills to give us the same old, same old. Do I think the Bills are really exerting maximum effort to field a respectable NFL team? No Why aren't the Bills exerting the required effort? Because a major change is coming down the track in that the current owner won't be the current owner for much longer; and when he dies there will be a big upheaval. So, why exert maximum effort and devote maximum resources to a situation that will be overturned in a relatively short time? The Bills organization is, in my opinion, standing on one foot waiting for the inevitable major change. -
What Happens when Ralph Wilson dies ?
Keukasmallies replied to I hate the Bills !'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When Ralph dies both the Bills and their owner will be dead.... -
Where does the blackout area end?
Keukasmallies replied to High Mark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No clue about the TV blackout; but rumor has it that the talent blackout ends just outside Frankfurt, Germany!
