  1. My reason for supporting a wall is that it would funnel illegals and traffickers in both people and drugs to ports of entry. I'm all for fixing the immigration problem by giving out work visas while allowing people to get in line for citizenship. I want these people vetted though.
  2. Obviously just an excuse to spend the weekend in Florida.
  3. Now that's an adventure! At the age of 27 my wife and I sold our home in WNY, bought a motorhome and along with our 3-year old daughter took off and basically traveled the country for nearly 8 months. We ended up back in NW PA where I found a job and I was then offered a promotion to corporate headquarters in Santa Fe Springs, CA. about 9 months later. Enjoyed my time in CA and wouldn't trade that 8 month trip for anything.
  4. I'm not Jewish and would not want to appropriate their customs. When I come and visit you over Memorial Day weekend are you going to serve me Matzah Balls?
  5. He's going to get pummeled by his past. Wait until the debates (if he gets that far) when he'll have to take a stand. All these candidates are falling all over themselves to be the furthest lefty. I can't think of one that isn't for 3rd trimester abortions. Well, only 17% of our adult population agrees with that position. They've all pretty much endorsed the Green New Deal. Sure, whoever wins the nomination will try to back off from that fantasy, but during the free-for-all of getting nominated, they'll have said enough to sink themselves.
  6. There are a lot of dem candidates that have to deny their past in order to claim a far left position. Who other than Bernie hasn't done this? Even Joe Biden says he's the most progressive of all of the candidates. This shift will not help those candidates and it will bring them down when thrown in their faces.
  7. Sea salt has little itsy bitsy fibers of plastic. Regular salt has more iodine.
  8. http://www.msn.com/en-us/health/nutrition/sea-salt-vs-table-salt-which-one-is-better-for-you/ar-BBUWtOQ?li=BBnba9O&ocid=HPDHP17 You’ve probably given some thought to the type of salt you use at home—particularly, whether you choose sea salt or good old-fashioned table salt. Less processed than traditional table salt, both sea salt and Himalayan salt retain more of their original mineral content, such as magnesium and potassium. But do the trace minerals and elements mean sea salt is healthy? It turns out—maybe not. Sea salt vs. table salt Lots of people think sea salt is better because of its minerals—but sea salt and table salt have the same basic nutritional value, according to the Mayo Clinic. Both sea salt and table salt also have a similar amount of sodium by weight. According to a study published in the Environmental Science and TechnologyJournal, sea salt has more than trace minerals, too. In many cases, there’s also plastic leeched onto sea salt. Yes, plastic! The problem is, thanks to the plastic bags and other debris in waterways, most sea salt brands contain plastic microparticles. Here are more surprising things you probably didn’t know about salt.
  9. Do you know of any good guacamole recipes?
  10. The wall is more of a traffic cop and the Border Patrol is all for it. They oughta know.
  11. I don't think it's that simple. After the Reagan amnesty we never got the secure border that was promised. 2007 was a "fool me once" moment and the right has been smarting over the former amnesty enough that a fence is going to have to come first.
  12. That's such an idiotic statement that it could only come from someone that is disconnected to today's world.
  13. It used to be that migrants (mainly Puerto Rican) would move their way north throughout the harvest seasons and pick tomatoes and grapes or work in the food processing plants and then end up picking apples. I remember a camp (actually what I think was an old monastery) near Cassadaga, NY where they were housed. A priest looked after them and acted as a labor supplier. Being from Puerto Rico they of course were legal and things seemed to run pretty smoothly. I suppose it might have or is different in places like the San Joaquin Valley.
  14. A bottle of red, a bottle of white It all depends upon your appetite
  15. Regarding Memorial Day weekend, do you have MY Pillows on the bed?
  16. Why do liberals always feel that it is ok to break the law if it suits their goals?
