  1. Lived there for several years back in the 80's. LA County but mostly up in the Ventura/Santa Barbara area. A beautiful, diverse state that just keeps getting in its own way. Physically, the lack of water is its biggest challenge. Mentally, they have no fvcking common sense whatsoever.
  2. They protest trimming trees around power lines and then get their power turned off to prevent forest fires. This was after choosing to not get rid of dead wood and brush to limit fuel for any possible fires. That's proof that survival of the fittest doesn't really resonate with Californians.
  3. Formal investigation was limited prior to the Mueller report coming out. I'm sure you are sharp enough to figure out why.
  4. Cut the anonymous whistleblower some slack. Everyone is trying to kill him.

  6. Did you get a FISA warrant in order to find this out or is your crystal ball now up and running?
  7. Well, he's not shacked up in the Hotel Colesseum, he's hiking the Appalachian Trail.
  8. Really? The Eighteenth of Never just doesn't sound right.
  9. This is from an actual posting for border patrol. Really, in order to be a Border Patrol Officer you must hide your gang tattoos? "This position requires wearing an officially approved uniform and complying with established grooming standards found here; as established by the Border Patrol's Uniform and Grooming Standards Policy #07-09126. Please note that in accordance with these standards, tattoos and/or brandings on the head, face, neck or hands are not permitted. Obscene, racially/ethnically derogatory and/or gang tattoos or brandings shall not be visible. All visible tattoos and/or brandings will be covered while performing the following volunteer duties: Recruiting, Public Affairs Officer, Oral Hiring Boards, International Liaison duties, Community Affairs or judicial proceedings." WTF? Foxes are good chicken coop guards.
  10. NHL has a 5 minute OT period with 3 skaters a side. If still tied they go to a shootout of 3 "innings" per side. If still tied it goes into extra innings until either team takes the lead after both teams have taken a shot in the extra inning. There can be an infinite amount of extra innings. THIS IS FOR THE REGULAR SEASON ONLY. This is done because the NHL has a long season and plays 5 times more games than the NFL. The NHL realizes that their OT and SO rules for the regular season are a compromise at best to accommodate the teams playing in a different city the next night. They do not compromise their game in the playoffs. They play extra full 20 minute periods until either team scores. In other words sudden death. The NHL system has been criticized but actually works pretty well and prevents a team playing in Boston on a Thursday, going into 3 full OT's and then arriving at 3:00am for a game Friday night in Tampa. Their traditional playoff approach of however many OT periods as it takes is fair to both teams. Not only are they both subjected to the extra time of the game but there is at least one off-day between games.
  11. Manhole fires were common in medieval days:

  14. No, he would say she looks almost like the sexy doctor he spent last night with but nowhere as hot as the one he has lined up for tonight.
  15. A little advice-----------------------don't mention your butt during a Shep Smith discussion. There's a reason he's an hysterical drama queen.
  16. Since you guys don't want to discuss cheese in this thread and bring up Kate Upton without posting pictures, I'm going to post this here: https://hotair.com/archives/jazz-shaw/2019/10/12/cuomo-orders-utility-pump-imaginary-natural-gas/?fbclid=IwAR3bspOA2jWSIFNFebLwH6Eet5bGgm7MvjBX4g-bGqV9xzFG5uVKMipWwaw There’s been a standoff between New York City and utility company National Grid going on since May of this year. As you may recall, plans for a new natural gas pipeline from New Jersey were killed off by the state government under pressure from environmental activists. As a result, National Grid wound up imposing a moratorium on new gas hookups because the current supply was insufficient to serve additional customers. This has resulted in more than a thousand potential customers being unable to be hooked up. Now the Governor has come up with a unique plan to end the stalemate. Using an obscure state law regulating utility companies through the power of the Public Service Commission, Andrew Cuomo (who helped kill the pipeline project) is simply ordering the utility to hook up the gas lines anyway. (New York Post) Fredo's brother thinks he's good enough to make bread and fish from nothing.
  17. Why are you bringing up Kate Upton in the new cheese thread?
  18. It's my party and I'll bray if I want to.
  19. Extra sharp of you, but it still grates.
  20. Lawyers writing environmental policy is made up for by MIT economists creating the ACA.
