the point is every 2nd year player "needs some work". On a day where he leads the team to 17 4th QTR points in a comeback in his 12th start, i just find it funny that some people need to point out the fact that he was 50% passer in the first 3 QTRs and he needs to find some touch on his dump passes and on and on.... it just seems very silly that those are the things people wanna post about. We have been without a QB in over a decade and have finally found one... enjoy!!!

hes never gonna be perfect, no QB ever has been...geez, "see and think" about the mistakes all you like, if thats what turns your crank, the team is 3 and 0 and the kid has been awsome, but hey...if you wanna spend your time reminding others that our 2nd year QB(8-4) needs work then who am i to ruin your fun. I mean really? who the hell cares, after what he did in the 4th qtr the last 2 games(over 120 QB rating) i would think the last thing anybody would wanna waste thier time doing is talking about how he still needs work....too funny

3 fourth QTR comebacks in 12 starts !!! are you kiddin me. And people want to complain that he has not played a perfect game yet...lol this kills me, you do know that Oakland has some very very good players on defense(top 3 corner tandem) and they played lights out for 3 qtrs today until Trent and the offense decided not to lose this game. Lighten up and enjoy the ride, this kid is fast becoming an elite QB in this league, safe to say the Bills will be gettin flexed later this year.

if health and bad weather play are your major concerns for Edwards then i would say hes ahead of the curve and you should feel real good about the bills QB.

Next time somebody says Trent has a weak arm

I agree, if he can add some zip then that would be good for his game, if not then no big deal he still has plenty of tools to became as good as he wants to be. -
Jay Cutler is better than John Elway

Yeah and Trent has been able to lead his team to more victories over his first 11 starts then Peyton Manning, just seems to be a better leader at this point then Peyton was. -

my point is Trent can become a great QB in this league with the skill set he has without the rocket arm, but having the rocket arm and lacking the skills Trent does have, well.... then your just a guy with a rocket arm. -
The Bills are the better team but this is the NFL, so they will have to continue to play good football or they WILL lose. Run DMC will get his first taste of running into a real NFL front seven with intent to injure.

Able to read a defense quick and release the ball on time and in a location so the reciever can do something with it or....be able to throw a football 70 yrds in the air -
bingo! Seattle was 0-0 when we spanked them and Jacksonville were coming off a road loss against a tough div game against a solid team. Those teams are 0-2 in large part because the Bills played outstanding football.

I really loved this gem "Jackson and Lynch are identical". The dude needs to drop the mic and maybe try coaching special teams.
-
wow 10 plus years... and im thinking he just needs a little more experience ? lol, Well I guess that just makes my point more valid, he sucks behind the mic and hes not gonna get any better.
-
Tasker is brutal behind the mic, but he was a great player and maybe with a little more experience he will feel comfortable enough in his work that he can concentrate more on the game rather then making sure he's not slanting the game towards the bills.

One Last Seattle review... Then on to Jax
julian replied to Dr. Trooth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They did not play lights out on offense, thats for sure. But this offense looked totally different then last year other then the 3rd down conversion rate, which i agree needs to improve. Turks play calling is agressive and he had Lee moving all over the field causing matchup problems, infact if Trent had not under thrown Lee on another attempted go route, Lee's stats woulda been somewhere in the 150 yrds, TD. The special Teams set up the offense nicely on the 2 FG drives as you mentioned, but the offense still had to move the ball into FG range so i gotta give the offense credit for those points. So as i see it 20 pts on opening day against a really good defense without our LT is a hell of a start. But your right, they need to get better, starting this week. Oh and if your talking about the field postion on the ST turnover on Royals TD, last year that woulda been a FG....that in itself should give everyone hope that this offense will be much improved, great throw by Trent. -
He wears the C on his jersey and after watching him give the defense a pregame speech on the field sunday, i now know why. NFL Networwk has a program called Live Wire and they showed Kelsay in the middle of the Def huddle before the game started and it went like this "WE ARE BETTER THEN THEY ARE!! ALL DAY LONG, KICKING ASSES AND TAKING NAMES !!!". He was screaming like an animal, i loved it !
-
Lynch left the game late in the 3rd qtr, had he played the entire game he woulda topped 100 easily.

When i watched Edwards in the pre season last year i was impressed. When Edwards came in relief at Foxboro and marched the team down the field for a TD in his very first NFL regular season action, I was very impressed. At that time i was still very much in JPs corner and believed he would get his job back when healthy. Besides, Trent did not look to good after that first series against the pats. It was after his first start against the jets that i knew that i had just seen a "real NFL QB". JP had a handful of good games and i seen him play well, but it was not the same. JP would hit some awsome deep balls and have a couple sweet scrambles, but the rest of the game i was on the edge of my seat hoping nothing bad was gonna happen. I wish JP all the best next year, I think hes still gonna be good with a good system. I'm just not gonna deny what im seeing on the field, even if the stats are not there yet.

Could Peters hold out cost him his starting job?
julian replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought Chambers played lights out !! but are you kiddin me? someone asks, how do you tell Chambers hes gotta go to the bench now ? something like this, "great job Kirk, our best(and 1 of leagues best) LTs is ready to roll so keep your head in the game, your only ever 1 play away from starting again" The better question is how do you tell the team your gonna stick with Chambers and sit Peters ? players wanna win, this really was a silly question to ask, IMO. -

I have to disagree with you here... i believe WR is the most difficult to learn after QB, its why so few have a year 1 impact.
