Rousseau having a monster game, and their doubling him at times -
15-1 is better than 12-3 ? nice, I thought so because 15 is more than 12 but this thread certainly solidifies it for me.

Saturday Games - who are we rooting for? Belinda
julian replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall
lol.. That’s very telling -
Lights out against the Texans is wild… he completed 10 passes and ran the ball 4 times, he made a couple big plays but was essentially just operating an extremely high functioning offense.

What is the obvious reason with the Dolphins? I get the Bills are 0-2 against the Bengals and the have Burrow, but what is the fear of the Dolphins… outside of the Broncos and Colts because of their QB situations, I think the Dolphins would be the best matchup -
Mahomes has the ability to make a play when needed in crunch time like very few ever have, he’s shown to be ahead of Allen in that department thus far, but this story has yet to be fully written and it’s not like Allen hasn’t shown the ability to be clutch also. we’ll see where this all ends up in another 10 years or so.

I 100% agree with you on what it’s going to take to shift the media and thus the masses opinion on where Josh Allen stands amongst his peers. It wasn’t that long ago when there was no advanced metrics and DVOA and EPA and the dozens of other metrics that are readily available minuets after every game, there wasn’t 24/7 talking heads examining every detail of every pass or play run. Without all that excessive information, nobody had any problems determining that Marino was on a different level than Kelly regardless of head to head record or 4 straight SB appearances, you just had to watch Marino throw a football. Im not sure what you’re seeing when you watch Mahomes play football that tells you he’s better than Allen playing the game of football, it’s your opinion but I see a bigger, stronger, faster, more elusive, bigger arm and more big plays from Allen.

Again.. you seem to be speaking on behalf of those who believe team success determines individual greatness in QBs, you’re correct that everyone has their own opinion and some people choose the criteria of individual play to determine greatness. To be considered the best by the media and by those who subscribe to the media’s criteria then Brady is the GOAT and Mahomes has a way to go, but nobody is ever going to consider Bradshaw in any conversation with all his winning and SBs, so the goal posts seem to be wherever one wishes to place them. I just happen to believe the purest way of evaluating greatness is to watch them play the game of football, everybody could find a stat or metric to support an argument or simply look at team success… that’s fine but it’s just confirmation bias in most cases. when someone doesn’t agree with you, don’t assume they’re lying, assume they may know something you don’t. I’ve self corrected many points of view after having an open heart mind to possibly changing it.

That’s not how it’s always been to everyone, some people prefer to watch players actually PLAY the game of football and decide who plays the game better. I have Allen and Lamar at the top and have been for years, Allen is better passer, Lamar a slightly better runner. Mahomes is not as talented as those two and it’s obvious when you watch them play the game of football, not a knock on Mahomes because 3rd isn’t bad… nothing wrong with bronze.

Seahawks-Bears anyone? (Live Game Thread)
julian replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
They gotta stop giving these rookie QBs prime time games.. maybe a couple Thursday night games early in the season but November and December prime time slots need to be heavily weighted with the leagues best QBs Mahomes, Allen, Burrow and Stafford and so on and flex out any garbage. This is unwatchable. -
My son’s gf said “look at Josh’s let-e” … I said “ his what ?” And my son laughed and said “lettuce”, I guess I still looked puzzled because he said “his hair” why do young people have to shorten every damn word.

Broncos, Ravens, Chiefs - Can the Bills run through this gauntlet.
julian replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, miserable fan bases don’t matter lol, evidenced by all the bad teams every year in the NFL and miserable fan bases are going to matter even less if that’s possible, in places where the teams are already excellent. I think it just bothers you that other fan’s don't view the team through the same prism as you do. You’re definitely not alone in this but it shouldn’t surprise or shock you that other fans aren’t as upset or angered about the team and its decisions, the Bills are a very entertaining product right now and have been for years. -

lol .. you’ve got to be kidding me, are you trolling ? You think if more fans B word and moan about one of the best teams in the league, that management will take notice and improve the already excellent product ? Who knew it was that easy and the fans, not the management and ownership were the actual keys to success. With this new insight I’m definitely going to be much less joyful with all the division titles and playoff games in hopes that my sour puss will finally bring change to this inept organization and ultimately a SB title. -

If every fan agrees with all your Bills takes is that somehow going to change the trajectory of the franchise ? Are optimistic fans, blinded fans and homer fans what is holding the team back ? Some fans treat the NFL and the Bills as entertainment and crazy I know, but just maybe they’re entertained by this incredible era of Bills football. -
Ravens/Texans, Christmas Day Game 2 (no Bills talk please)

Ravens/Texans, Christmas Day Game 2 (no Bills talk please)
julian replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because he hasn’t lost to cellar dweller teams and has multiple MVP moments in prime time including beating both 1 seeds from each conference who hold a 28-1 record combined against everyone else, has great stats and is doing it all with the least amount of top end talent around him on a team most predicted wouldn’t even win their division. -

Yeah ever since the 5 TD Giants game… they media has put the full court press on to get Lamar the MVP but I don’t think it’s gonna be fruitful. Allen has numerous memorable MVP moments in prime time and when asked what are Lamar’s memorable MVP moments, after a lengthy pause all they come up with is Lamar making a 25 yard run holding up his pants Lamar half dozen votes, Goff and Barkley a couple each and Allen ends up with something in the 40 vote range imho. -
Love everything I’ve seen from him, hope he takes a team friendly deal to stick around for a couple more years.

I don’t care how good a rb is… I’m not spending significant money on that position.

Spencer Brown deserves his own thread.
julian replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I replaced my grandson with Spencer Brown as my background picture on my phone for a week right after the draft. I’m not proud of this and my wife said I was weird, but I don’t think I’ve been more excited about a non first round pick as I was about Brown. The athleticism, size and nasty streak had me convinced that if everything clicked for him that he’d be a fan favourite. -
The MVP was won at Detroit, just win the last 3 regardless of stats against the Pats and Jets(unlike Lamar losing to Browns and Raiders) and finish 14-3 and it’s a lock

I’d feel much better being a fan of the Patriots and a young Drake Maye than a fan of the mess the Jets and Dolphins have created, by a large margin.
