I like Stroud as much as anybody outside his mom, he had an excellent rookie season and he very well may reach those lofty expectations you have for him. I think playing in perfect passing conditions as much as he will this year and every year he plays in Houston is and will continue to be the biggest factor in helping him achieve massive passing numbers. Drew Breese put himself into the hall of fame with the help of playing in a dome in the south. I believe Stroud will be a top 5 QB this year and will be in that group with Lamar and Burrow right below Mahomes and Allen.

There was some issue between Elam and his position coach, I think the change at DB coach was partly due to that disconnect between coach and player. Listening to him speak today, you could tell he was trying not to say too much when being asked about the coaching change but did mention how his new position coach “treats me great” … “holding me to a standard, always critiquing me and Christian, but it’s like we’re human”. I’m guessing he wasn’t taking to the previous coaching style and it’s easier smarter and less costly to make a change at the position coach and try to salvage a massive 1st round investment.

Yes I think they should, his price is only going up. -

The 2020 oline ranked 10th by PFF, slightly above average oline. I’m not ignoring the Dolphins injuries, It’s actually the opposite because in the NFL everybody deals with injuries and had Tua shown an ability raise his game in the face of adversity, he’d already have been paid like you suggested. I’m hoping he’s the NFLs highest paid QB before the season starts.
-
Last year was the first season Allen has had a good oline, he’s thrived with mediocre oline play. There would be no need for excuses if Allen had a hobbled Hill and Waddle because Allen can make plays on his own, that’s why paying Tua 50+ per is going to be a day to celebrate on this board.

Caleb Williams is off to a rough rookie start
julian replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was because of those reports that Chase slid in the 1st round of my keeper league and I was able to get him at the 9th pick. I have my doubts about Williams and his ability to lead a room of men and as another poster mentioned, the Bears organization doesn’t do QB well. -
Josh thinks he can come off the bench in the NBA

We’ll agree to disagree, respect your position though. -

Van Ness was an American high school hockey player who played hockey as a hobby, in no alternate universe or this one does he have the skating ability to play at professional level. Skating is a unique skill, stick handling, shooting, checking, blocking shots and the many other skills needed to play hockey could possibly be taught to an elite skater as me in that case it would interesting to see what level of hockey they could function at. -

The problem is, you can’t “get up to speed” on skates lol. The ability to skate anywhere near the level needed to compete professionally comes from beginning to skate as a small child. Most people begin skating as young as 5 years of age or younger and almost all of them drop out of competitive hockey because their skating isn’t good enough to play at the highest levels. No professional athlete could ever cross over to the NHL, the skating is such a unique skill that requires almost a lifetime of training to even have a chance of playing. -
Super talented, has had a moron for a HC, I’m not sure how much to lay at the feet of Herbert but I believe we’re about to find out. Because the difference in talent between the two is massive.

Agree about Tua and his fragility, but Burrow has just as much to prove in that area as well.

One of the best picks of this front office since they’ve been here.

Unfortunately for Tua, in that offense full of explosive toys most of his impressive stats were compiled in a single game against the Broncos and the rest in Sept and Oct against non winning teams Tua is a good QB in that offense in good weather against average teams, that’s who he is.

What kind of season are you expecting from Josh Allen this year?

Buffalo Bills Schedule Discussion / Prediction Thread
julian replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I fully expect another Miami game where Allen takes their souls, easy ? No such thing in the NFL but this is a W when looking at the schedule in May. -
How do you feel about the Bills upcoming team/schedule?

Chiefs at Bills - Week 11 CBS 4:25 National Game
julian replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course the NFL loves TS, she’s been a massive marketing bonanza, I don’t know or care if the league considered her logistics when scheduling, but to act as though it’s not a possibility is absurd. I wish they’d consider my goings on when scheduling, but I can’t carry a tune to save my life and don’t have 50 million tweens and weirdly obsessive middle aged Swiftys singing along to yet another teenage breakup hit song of the month. -
$23 million in CAP in 2025 if no more moves as of 5/14
julian replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
What tier ? There’s a strong argument he’s QB2, and top 5 isn’t arguable, there’s less space between Mahomes and Allen than Allen and whoever you want to put at 3 IMO. -
Loser mentality, I guess it hurts less when the loss happens. Protect those feelings at all cost lol

Marquez Valdes-Scantling meeting with the Bills (UPDATE: Signed)
julian replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
In fairness, much has changed with respect to the WR room post draft. I probably would have puked at the idea of MVS at that time too, but seeing how the draft has transpired I’m more accepting of the idea now. -
Yeah, by saying I expect McGovern to start sounds like VPGs dad lol I think I was the one rooting for the best player to play, I don’t care who it is, McGovern great, VPG great.
-
He’s not an experienced NFL center, actually he has no NFL center experience is the point, I’m sure the coaches are comfortable with McGovern playing there, all I’m saying is he doesn’t have to beat out an entrenched veteran NFL center, he has to beat out a dude who’s shown zero at the position. As I said, the rookie is competing from behind for sure… but shocked that a guy who hasn’t played center since college years ago gets beat out by a rookie who’s played the last 3 years in the SEC as a team captain ? thats only a shock if you’re McGovern’s mom lol.
