You used the word “probably” when talking of an immediate step back in competitiveness, I appreciate you being honest because many like myself don’t believe losing McDermott automatically means be less competitive. I think McDermott is a good coach, even a very good coach, but he may have maxed out this opportunity he had in Buffalo and although change doesn’t guarantee success, it does offer a new perspective and a new pathway for a team knocking at the door for years.

I think it’s less about the record against Reid and more about McDermott being the reason for the 13 second collapse. every coach losses to Reid for the most part, but after Allen bailed out the defense for the 2nd time in the final 2 minutes, McDermott soiled his pants with 13 seconds and the world watched.

While true, Allen was the only player aside from Lamar who received a 1st place vote. I still rank Allen 2nd in MVP voting last year because I’m not putting players ahead of him because they got more 2nd and 3rd place votes, not a single voter thought anyone other than Lamar or Allen were the MVP. I just think the ranked voting is lame.

I would tend to agree that you could say this about virtually every team outside of KC, who’s proven track record certainly demonstrates they definitely have a good enough HC and good enough players. McDermott and the Bills roster has a much different track record.

Yikes: In the #Bills last 5 playoff losses, they've had the WORST PPG defense of ALL TIME in the Super Bowl era. Giving up a whopping 33.2 PPG This nugget came from a thread on X, I haven’t fact checked it but it feels right and if true it’s a bad look for a defensive HC.

McDermott is good but not good enough The talent is good but not good enough

Beane has drafted a lot of very good players, he hasn’t lucked out and had one of these late 1st rounders turn in Watt or McDuffie. Beane needs to eliminate the need for draft luck and trade for an established great player(Crosby). Beane hit the home run with the Diggs trade, injury luck destroyed the Von signing, it’s time to go get it done via trade. Allen will turn 29 this year, hurry the fawk up.

No worries, everyone is just trying to figure out what needs to be done and sometimes points get lost in translation in written format. I’m not very hopeful they’ll get it right, but I desperately want to be wrong.

I’m guessing you think I was saying the Dline is horrible or never makes a play in big games, of course they’ve made a play here or there in a win. The problem is in their playoff losses the Dline always comes up short because they’re just not talented enough. When was the last playoff loss where everyone said “damn, shoulda won that game the Dline dominated” Stevie Wonder can see the pass rush is an issue every postseason, nobody should be surprised they were a middle of the pack Dline all season, of course they weren’t gonna show up in crunch time in KC. Shout out to Oliver, I thought he left it all out in the field in KC.

Yeah, Beane and company knew when they signed him that an elite level pass rusher was needed and I’m sure they’re more aware than ever it’s still the #1 need. Go do whatever it takes to get Crosby or Hendrickson, nobody wants to hear about salary cap restraints. Allen will turn 29 this year I don’t give a flying fawk if the salary cap is a complete mess 4 or 5 years down the road. Go do what’s necessary to finally get the job done or at least go down swinging, it’s no longer time to worry about future cap implications. IMHO.

It’s the biggest single factor leading the Bills to zero SBs or even zero appearances, the absolute failure to build a SB level pass rush. The Dline isn’t good at all, it fails to make game changing plays in the biggest moments. It has to be the number one priority of management in the coming weeks and months.

Man, it’s so depressing picking this late in the draft every year, all you can do is cross your fingers and hope you get TJ Watt type of luck with these late picks. Max Crosby almost seems crucial at this moment, maybe the further away from Sunday’s game we get the more hopeful I’ll become with the upcoming draft.

The Chiefs are always one step ahead of the Bills...

lol yeah, appreciate the effort there to lessen the blow… 13 seconds will be remembered because KC stole a game with 13 seconds hence the name, but nobody outside of Buffalo and KC will remember or care about what Allen did in those final 2 mins twice. Its about Mahomes completing 2 passes in 13 seconds to everyone else, and that’s just the way it is. -
Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season

In fairness, Kelce wasn’t running in to defend his QB from a legal tackle… he ran in and taunted Hamlin because his QB just ran him over for a TD should have been a flag for taunting as well as a flag on Phillips fir retaliation, both can be true and are true imho. -

Relax guys, was just making a well intended attempt at humour lol. I wasn’t being serious, didn’t mean to offend any fans lol. -

Like the dudes who say they’re 5’11 they’re actually 5’9 and a half. The Bills fans who say they’ve been fans for any lengthy amount of time… you can just shave off 10-20% for the actual length of fandom. It’s human nature I guess. -

I respectfully disagree, some areas are closer than others.. but it’s a clean sweep imho. -

Ultimately when it’s all said and done, people outside of Bills fans will only remember the outcome and not the details. 13 seconds will be a story we tell our grandkids, letting them know that Josh Allen won that game TWICE inside the final 2 minutes, that heroic effort will fade and be forgotten by the masses. -

Better players better coaches better management better team one sided officiating I’m surprised the games have been so close…. Thank you 17 -
Von Millers name was not mention ONE TIME last night!

He’ll be gone in a few weeks, god willing. -
They would have won 14 games had they needed to play in week 18, that gets you the one seed just about any other year. It was just more bad luck that KC had only lost one game. I do agree getting the 1 seed might be the Bills only realistic chance of winning a title, hopefully they have another 13-14 win season in them to have that opportunity.

Josh had been sitting steady between 32-38% probability of winning MVP on Polymarket since the All Pros were announced, prior to that Allen had been a heavy favourite at over 70%. Today around 4pm Allen shot back up to 70% overtaking Lamar before coming down now sitting at Allen 50% and Lamar at 48.4% very interesting.
