Week 1 - Cardinals at Bills - Game Week Thread
julian replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean, every year there’s anywhere between 6-8 teams that have a legitimate shot, and having Josh Allen makes you one of those teams until he’s no longer a Bill. I’m gonna believe this is the year until 17 is no longer. -
Got it, that 15 mil number was the first one that popped in my head. I actually loved the pick at the time, have loved that they stayed the course with him through some up and down play and injuries, and were rewarded with a nice season last year.

I can agree with that, where’s your line in the sand.. what’s the number? lol… seeing Filthy Beast take, I’m now convinced we hit a home run

If there’s a position group where you shouldn’t be looking to penny pinch, it’s the OL. I love it, he’s one of my favourite players, big, mean, athletic are the traits I’m looking for to protect the most valuable asset of the franchise.

The chatter around the Worthy trade isn't rational
julian replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
This Bills bashing and putting the blame on Buffalo is just an easy out for fans around the league. They can point a finger at Buffalo and say they’re the reason nobody can get past KC, instead of being critical of their own front offices, coaching staffs, scouting departments and ownership groups. The truth is Buffalo seems to be the only team consistently getting themselves in a position (a place these other teams aren’t even capable of reaching) to knock them off, but it’s just easier and less painful to point at the Bills as the reason KC is unbeatable rather than look in the mirror. -

I wasn’t questioning his status, just pointing out the help he receives from the other side of the ball and seemingly fate, he made plenty of winning plays in this game. -

One year we had a buddy(Steelers fan) show up to the tailgate in the grass lot wearing all white from head to toe, even the shoes were white dress shoes, his first Buffalo tailgate experience lol. It went exactly how you think it went lol.

I’m starting to think “ statistics are for nerds “ might have some validity, Allen seems to have the ability to lock in and raise his level of play when all the chips are on the line, evidenced by his Nov and Dec win/loss record. Hopefully these narratives of being overrated and not having weapons and Diggs made him are the perfect storm of doubt Allen needs to lock in raise his level of play right off the rip.

One of my best buddies, I’ve worked with for almost 20 years, a life long Vikings fan just laughed at me the day the Bills traded for Diggs. I chalked it up as sour grapes for losing Diggs. Vikings fans who’ve paid attention to Diggs from the start we’re happy to see him gone, and now we’re happy to see him gone. Diggs was very good player who filled a need for a budding superstar QB who is now ready to take complete leadership control and command of the franchise, Diggs served a purpose and I believe it was a smart and successful trade by Bean but it was always going to end this way.

This is no different than Tom Brady meeting with Bellichick each week and going over the game plan and Brady saying this will work, this isn’t gonna work and so on and so on. Joe Brady isn’t waiting in his office for Allen to hand him the weeks game plan so he can run to staples and laminate it. He’s simply given the players the ability to eliminate plays they know they can’t run effectively and add some plays they’re very confident with, with this information he puts together the plan of attack. I would think it’s odd if all the leagues OCs weren’t doing this in some form or fashion.

Once the government starts punishing criminality appropriately with harsh sentences then I’ll look for a solution to the lack of hugs at home. -

Yes we failed the criminals lol.. talk about dumb, and a 17 year old young man with a gun robbing and shooting innocent people isn’t a kid, he’s a POS criminal. Not sure how some people have gotten to the point of blaming law abiding citizens for the actions of garbage criminals , but here we are.
