A Realistic Draft Day Trade Scenario
lets_go_bills replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love it. I'm a big fan of moving down. Picking up extra picks within the first three rounds is huge. This trade would allow us to take the top DE prospect left (Johnson or English) and then I'd like us to grab OG Duke Robinson. He looks like a stud and bringing him in would allow us to let Dockery go and open up some cap room. Then we can grab the top OLB prospect left (Matthews or Sintim) in the 2nd then go C in the 3rd (Wood or Caldwell). All of a sudden the Bills have filled all their needs with some exciting prospects. -
Guy on Billszone claiming he works for the Bills...

x2! You bring in that guy and nobody will be able to run on us. Guaranteed top-3 defense. The whole defense will be better, LBs running free to make tackles, pressure off of DBs and the pocket will collapse so fast, sacks all around, even for Kelsay! -
Jabari Greer Not even mentioned
lets_go_bills replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McGee is a free agent next year. I'd rather have one too many CBs for a year, then let McGee walk because Greer is 26 and starting to peak, while McGee will be 29 by season's start. Of course it all depends on how comfortable the Bills are with Youboty and Corner behind McKelvin and McGee. I would like the Bills to make him a low offer, something reasonable, then see if he takes it. I don't think Greer is that highly thought of outside of WNY. -
He should just re-sign in Jax. The had to cut him because $6 mil was too much to pay him for one season. Fred is too old, too injury prone and has too much wear on him to be a starter. He can be one half of a tandem, that's it.

Guy on Billszone claiming he works for the Bills...

While I don't believe this at all, it certainly is very exciting to read. I'm just going to pray that it's true even though no FO personnel would ever go on a message board and post this kind of stuff. -
Tim Graham's Buffalo Bills Hot Button

Wishful thinking on my part, I guess. -
Tim Graham's Buffalo Bills Hot Button

I think the Bills will make a splash in FA. I think they'll actively pursue one or two key guys and sign at least one of them. No so much because they want to, but because they have to. There really isn't much to be excited about and the FO needs to try and recapture the excitement we felt last offseason. -
TG likes us to grab either Orakpo or Brown to solve our DE issues. I like how he mentions our new D-Line coach and the challenge ahead: getting Schobel back to 100%, giving McCargo one more shot and drafting a DE. He thinks that ownership has alienated fans (which is very true), and that Bills fans need something to get excited about (which is very true). Here's hoping that they make a splash and sign someone great via Free Agency and have a good draft. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-5-62/...--AFC-East.html

Is This What the Bills Are Coming to be?
lets_go_bills replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sad but true. -
Per NFL.com Lynch's lawyer, M. Gerald Schwartzbach, said his client was not involved in a traffic accident and was in California visiting friends. "This incident did not involve any violence," Schwartzbach told NFL Network. "Although I am in the process of gathering facts, my current understanding is that the weapon wasn't on Marshawn's person, he was not driving. This weapon was in the trunk." I think his lawyer will get this thing either reduced a lot or even thrown out. The gun was in the trunk, not readily accessible to anyone. I didn't pose a threat whatsoever. I'm not familiar with California law, but where I'm from you can't just search a trunk, you have to have consent or a warrant. There are a lot of questions to be answered and facts to be discovered, but at this point I think it'll blow over. Whether or not Goodell suspends him due to a second run-in with the law remains to be seen.

We aren't the laughting stock of the NFL. At least not yet. That moniker belongs to Detroit, aka 0-16. We are the mediocre stock of the NFL. Nuthin but 7-9s! -
True that. Sounds like these cops were being a little racist. They were looking for something. But they did recognize him according to espn.com: "The statement noted officers spotted three men in a 2006 Mercedes Benz and recognized Lynch as the Bills' running back." Personally, I don't blame him for carrying, but he should just get a permit. He's a young millionaire football star. But he does have the right to protect himself, especially when driving in a sweet ride with two other black guys in some questionable parts of Cali. Don't forget Plax also shot himself with his gun!
-
Yup. The way it's worder, it sounds like they recognized him, pulled him over to harass him, found a gun, and "determined" it was his. To me this says it wasn't actually "on him". The search could be contested. I think we're in for the long haul with this one boys. Lynch will go dark and say nothing and his lawyers will hammer it out. We'll know in some weeks or months what will happen, but it seems wishy-washy and will probably get plead down to a misdemeanor. But still, c'mon Marshawn get your head straight.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like Jauron and I'm sure you don't. But didn't you notice how all his players were saying how much they like him and wanted him back. That's no lip service, Jauron is a nice guy, likeable and easy-going. All his players like him because he treats them well, doesn't run them hard and coddles them. Surprisingly it has nothing to do with how terrible a football coach he is. Dick Jauron is a player's coach.
-
Ok, this guy is as injujry-plagued as they come. But I think we should sign him. He is very talented and plays FS. He just came from a Cover 2 and knows Jauron. A veteran precense next to Whitner, allowing him to just play SS is great. This seems like a no-brained to me.

IF (and I say IF) the Lynch Rumor is True
lets_go_bills replied to /dev/null's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I say no. If it's true he gets four games and Jackson carries th load. I still love Beastmode and am ready to welcome him back with open arms. We need to know more about this alleged incident. -
That just about covers what I would do.

Here's hoping he does!

Happy Birthday Jim. -
Vincent would be a good fit. Although I don't care who it is, so long as they keep the salary cap and introduce set salaries for rookies.
