  1. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I've always liked the idea of a full-time FB blowing up LBs and clearing paths for RBs. But FBs seem to be a dying breed these days in the NFL. Per billsdaily.com: No FB This Year? In his comments to the media during the combine this week, Turk Schonert indicated the Bills may not go with a fullback this year. When Schonert took over as offensive coordinator last year one of the first things he decided to do was bring the fullback back into the offense. Corey McIntyre was the man but saw his playing time decrease as the season went on as the Bills chose to run behind a two tight end offense instead. McIntyre is an unrestricted free agent and will likely not be back. Look for the Bills to not carry a fullback this year and uses one of their blocking tight ends in that role like Derek Schouman or Derek Fine. Your thoughts?
  2. He's done. He was done three years ago.
  3. It's starting to look more and more like Pat White will get drafted as a QB. Probably a 3rd or 4th to me, but Mayock says 2nd. He may very well have vaulted himself past Davis and Freeman to claim the No. 3 QB spot in this year's draft class. Per si.com: INDIANAPOLIS -- Musings, observations and the occasional insight as we wrap up Money Day at the NFL Scouting Combine, the day the quarterbacks show their stuff (at least the ones who deem to work out) ... • Score one for collegiate experience and a little old-fashioned perseverance, because of all the quarterbacks who threw on Sunday in Lucas Oil Stadium, none looked better than West Virginia's Pat White, the record-breaking senior passer who many have been trying to project as anything but a quarterback. White threw the ball accurately and with authority in his quarterback group, looking poised and comfortable in an unfamiliar setting that has thrown many a highly-ranked quarterback off his game. White was especially strong in throwing deep outs, which always catch the eye of NFL scouts. "I'll tell you who looked good today and that was Pat White,'' one longtime NFL offensive assistant coach told me. "He really helped himself with that workout. He made people recognize him as a quarterback.'' In a draft class heavy with junior quarterbacks at the top, it was White who generated the most buzz Sunday. Not USC's Mark Sanchez, who was decent but far from spectacular, or Georgia's Matthew Stafford, the top-rated passer who ran a solid 40-yard dash (low 4.8s) but declined to throw here with the rest of the draft's quarterbacks. White might still be thought of by some NFL talent evaluators as best-suited to be a team's Wildcat formation quarterback and part-time receiver, but all Sunday's throwing session has to do is convince one team to draft him as a full-time quarterback. "He was sharp and he made all the throws you want to see,'' another NFL talent evaluator told me. "Our quarterbacks coach said he looked better than most people anticipated.''
  4. In other words, they should just play Madden.
  5. Yeah, it's too bad that soured him on one-person GMs. Of course we also had Bill Polian who was shunned in favour of Ralph's moronic, stubborn-rich-girl daughter. What a mess.
  6. That's right around my comfort level. I wouldn't mind some incentives in there that could boost it to $30-35 mil. Hard to earn incentives though, like pro bowls and INT counts. I don't wanna see the Bills pay him too much. Someone will over pay for the guy and I hope its not us. That money belongs to Albert Haynesworth.
  7. Wood or Mack would be great at Center. Pettigrew may have run a 4.8, but he's still the best TE in the draft and the only 1st round TE. He is one of the more complete and well-rounded TEs to come along in a while.
  8. You've been saying that, but I think people mean to get him in a sign-and-trade deal with the Texans, not just giving him an offer and seeing if the Texans match or not.
  9. Are you nuts? They retained the moron Jauron because they already gave him a deal. They're not gonna keep another moron, especially since he's a free agent. JP Losman will not wear a Bills uniform ever again.
  10. Yep. They need one guy, just one guy to run the show. One guy, as GM, who has a vision and can build a winner. The GM-by-committe inner circle is just a circle-jerk.
  11. Crabtree isn't running because of a sprained right ankle. Then medical tests at the Combine found a small stress fracture on his left foot that requires surgery and shelves him for 10 weeks. He decided to wait until after his pro day March 26 to have the surgery. He's gonna run on his pro day. It also means he wouldn't be ready for OTAs or the rookie camps. He'd be ready for training camp though.
  12. That is big. He just made himself a couple of extra bucks.
  13. There's plenty of blame to go around.
  14. I have a serious problem with paying Greer $7 mil a year. Especially considering we let Winfield and Clements walk.
  15. No offence at all, but I'd sooner take Mayock's opinion over yours. It's not a perfect science but Mayock watches a lot of tape.
  16. Holy crap, hell froze over.
  17. I honestly don't know what to do with the pro bowl. Something does have to change because it is a joke. I absolutley love football and watch as much of it as I can, but I can't stand the pro bowl. I hate all-star games in general. But I think that having the game mid-season and making it the bye week for teams is a good idea. Of course there's injury risk, but that is something you can't avoid in football. I think it's a better time for it than after or before the SB. And it certainly would make fantasy football better too because you don't have to change your lineup due to the constant byes.
  18. I love the throwback jersey we have. I bought an Edwards one and love it, it's my favourite Bills jersey that I've had. I think they look great and would love them to be permanent.
  19. I'm glad to see they're making a push for him, but I thought the low-ball offer was just for show and that the Bills were gonna take all their money and throw it at Haynesworth. (A man can dream can't he)
  20. I'm watching the Combine show on NFLN and they just showed his Top 20 big board. Just a point of interest here for those who still have questions/doubts about Pettigrew.
  21. Yeah, I assumed that they would just have a patch on their jerseys.
