Thanks for the link. Three things stood out to me: 1. Lee Evans makes a lot of money. 2. Chris Kelsay is grossly overpaid. 3. Jason Peters does deserve a new contract and a big raise.

He hasn't shown consistent hands. He doesn't have the size or physicality to match up with CBs on the outside. He is nothing more than a 3rd WR, although he may be best suited to a 4th WR spot. His speed and agility are well documented and he is surely the best punt returner in the NFL. He can go deep and make a few guys miss when he has some space, but he is nothing more than a situational receiver.

They do need to upgrade on defense too, for sure. We need a DE, an OLB, a S, and a DT. But the defense was ranked 14th. Not too bad, especially given the terrible offense, which ranked 28th. Based on those two numbers it is easy to see where most of the problem resides.

I would like this. Waters is a good guard and with Pioli making his mark on the roster I wouldn't be surprised if was available. But I wouldn't want to spend much on him. Maybe a 4th, probably a 5th.

I've been at the last two monday nighters and they have been a blast. The losses suck, of course, but the atmosphere was electric. So loud and crazy. A lot of fun. And all the extra events like ESPN booth, Bud Light booths, etc. is cool too.

Another tough schedule, we're in for a long year. I hope we get another monday nighter though.
