  1. U take a 3-4 nose high if you believe he's the right guy for your scheme. It all starts in the trenches and you can't have a successful 3-4 without a stud NT.
  2. If we can keep him there at FS and FS only, while getting some decent play out of whoever winds up playing SS, I think we're gonna see him play at a high level, blowing up receivers and making more plays on the ball. Remember when he nearly killed Ocho? Whitner can be our Bob Sanders. Sort of poor man's version until he proves himself undoubtedley.
  3. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/Home_NFL.aspx Dr. John Lombardo, who administers the NFL's drug policy, reportedly told Brian Cushing and Clay Matthews Jr. that they have "nothing to worry about" regarding a report that they failed steroids tests at the Combine. Lombardo added that the league already would've sent Cushing and Matthews letters about the alleged failed tests if the reports were true. The NFL sent letters to some players who tested positive three weeks ago, and Cushing and Matthews were not on the list. It appears NFL Draft Bible's report about the USC linebackers was false, which also calls into question their report that Percy Harvin and Vontae Davis tested positive for marijuana. Good news for those guys. They're two of the better LB prospects and are wanted on the Bills by many here.
  4. Bringing him in as a consultant would be great. Last I heard he was doing some of that at UB.
  5. Yeah. It's not comon for a rookie DE to pile up sacks. The only DE to recently do that off the top of my head in Kearse.
  6. I just wish we still had McNally coaching the O-Line. He could do with Bell what he did with Peters. Bell is so raw but so talented. A project player, but we knew that. I know Jauron said he'd compete for the left guard spot with Chambers, but Jauron's an idiot. We should just groom this guy to play LT.
  7. lol. I really like Steve. I know he's gonna make strides this year and be a starter in 2010.
  8. Why would we draft Jackson? We already have a bunch of DEs that have no pass rush ability. That's what our problem is... no pass rush. Geez.
  9. Crabtree is too good to pass up. I know we have other needs, but you just don't pass up a guy like that. I really believe in the the "best player available" approach. You do draft to fill needs, yes, but when a guy this good falls this far, you take him.
  10. Cool! I loved the Steve Johnson vid. He's got a future in this league.
  11. He's got the range to do it. I'll be watching to see if he makes more plays on the ball. Keeping him at one position permanently is good for him and the team. He will blosom once he is set at one position.
  12. They need to bring this guy in. Fills a huge need and saves us from using an earlier round pick on an unproven TE.
  13. I'm still annoyed by the fact that both Crowell and June could've been had for one year deals at only $2M. We should've signed one of them.
  14. Okay. Hey look! Another Peters thread.
  15. He doesn't want to have to practice or workout much, so he'll wait a bit to sign somewhere. But with Miami and New England on his radar, why would he come here? He's in the twilight of his career, he wants to take a run at a ring.
  16. I'd gladly pay $20 per game more.
  17. Can't say I watched any K-State games, but he's a physically gifted athlete who plays the most important position in football. If he isn't any good, why is he being projected to go in the top half of the draft? Joe Flacco was a small-school prospect with size and an arm. He went in the first round, had a great year and looks to be the franchise signal caller Baltimore' been looking for.
  18. That is disappointing for sure. Crowell is a talented and versatile LB and our need at LB is all too real. He's a guy we drafted and groomed and someon we know can play in our defense. I know he came back for a visit, but I'm surprised that the Bills wouldn't offer him more than that. I would've easily given him a a one year, $3M deal. Or even a two year, $5M deal
  19. I'm a season ticket holder and I can honestly say that I would have absolutely no problem, whatsoever, if they were to raise ticket prices. So long as that money goes directly to signing bigger name guys and contributes to building a winning team.
  20. Talk about putting your foot in your mouth. What a guy this Duke.
