  1. Doesn't make it true. If he did indeed wanted Tebow, he's just saying this to save face. No GM is ever going to admit reports about being "devastated" and "crestfallen" about not getting a player are true.
  2. That is hilarious. I too am shocked espn would run this. Seems more up PFT's alley. Hilarious nonetheless.
  3. Wrong. Schefter has been bang on with everything he reports expect for this year's draft stuff. There may very well have been some truth to what he reported, we'll never know. The draft is ALL smoke screen and mirrors. But Schefter is almost never wrong on regular NFL stuff. I believe what he's reporting.
  4. PFT has updated their article saying, "The Bills want him bad." http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...-jared-gaither/
  5. It's good to see these young guys on the field, getting reps in. I hope they learn the playbook/system and work hard. Training Camp will be here before we know it.
  6. We need a legit LT. Like many of you, I've been screaming for one. But you won't find me jumping for joy at this one. Gaither is a talented LT with a questionable work ethic. Just like Jason Peters. He's gonna come here, play well and then sit out unless he gets a max contract. It's deja vu for us. I don't like it. When Peters first sat for a new deal he was coming off of a legit pro bowl season where everyone in the league saw him as the best LT besides the now-retired Seahawk. He had unreal talent, potential and upside. We had the leverage with three years left on his deal but bottom line, we never gave him the money he wanted. Why would we do it now with Gaither?
  7. It'd be bittersweet. I wouldn't "truly" count it. Fans of all other teams would *asterisk it and not count it. We would never hear the end of it from other fans.
  8. This tidbit is interesting: "Ed Wang was the first offensive tackle the Bills drafted since 2008, and the earliest they've drafted one since they took Mike Williams fourth overall in 2002." Perhaps Ralph was so hard done by because of the Williams debacle, he is reluctant to authorize a high selection on an LT. Sooner or later if these late round and undrafted prospects don't pan out, we'll have to take one early and hope for the best.
  9. This part is certainly true: "It just looks like more of the same for the Bills, who have been running in place for so long now that it's hard to detect any motion at all."
  10. I think the players should get to keep the same siz slice of the pie. I'd rather see these huge sums paid to rookies shifted to increase the salaries of proven players. The Rams are about to pay Sam Bradford around $70 million and he barely played last year, is coming off of major shoulder surgery to his throwing arm and has yet to play a down on pro ball. That's ridiculous. It's mind-boggling and absolutely asinine. And I think it's bad for football because if a team misses on a top-5 pick, it sets that franchise back financially several years, then they can't compete because they have money tied up in a bust and wind up having to draft high over and over. It's unfair and bad for the game of football.
  11. Does that mean we haven't seen the last of Losman?
  12. Where were your seats? Section and row if you don't mind.
  13. I can't help but think that Trent's conservative approach to the game has more to do with the way Jauron coached him than the way Trent plays football.
  14. I expect teams in put eight in the box and make us beat them with the throw. Teams will also double Evans or at least roll a safety to his side. The only, and I mean the only way our offense can succeed is if we get decent TE production and someone, either Hardy or Johnson, emerges as a legitimate receiving threat opposite Evans.
  15. The only thing that will change people's minds is when we start producing on the field.
  16. That's why you're not a GM. Great player/career. But nothing left, time and age have taken their toll.
  17. You can't compare cigarettes to food. Cigarettes actually contain toxic chemicals and powerfully deadly ingredients, on purpose! And it's not a secret! Just cuz you choose to smoke doesn't mean I should have to breathe in the deadly 2nd hand crap that came out of your lungs as I walk by. That's disgusting.
  18. But certainly things like respect and manners have to play a role here. Debate is fun, bashing and barb trading isn't. There's a difference between debating who should start at QB and calling someone a dumbass because they think it should be one guy over another.
  19. Good. Smoking is a filthy and disgusting habit. I think it's ridiculous that a human being would purchase an expensive product that is extremely unhealthy and toxic for you. A product that has endless research and studies behind it that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that it is bad for your health and can kill you. And yet people keep buying them. There's certianly something to be said for the power of addiction, but come on! This sh*t'll kill you.
  20. The period between the draft and training camp is the worst. It's a long dull few months that drag. I'm a football junkie and I need my fix!
  21. I had to google "dap". Per the urban dictionary: The knocking of fists together as a greeting, or form of respect. Word!
  22. As far as light beers go, Coors Light is best. That's a monster contract. $1B? Wow. And the NFL wants to lengthen the season to make more money? Greed knows no boundaries.
