  1. Impressive. You did your homework. That all looks very realistic and certainly covers our needs. Good job.
  2. I still think it's McGee. The problem with being a Bills fan like myself, is that we tend to view our team through rose-coloured glasses. We think that we're not as bad as we were. That said, our corners are just average and none of them scare anybody.
  3. Yeah, the need for WR is so great, but the value sucks. I too don't like Hardy, but really the only "big" WRs are Sweed, Thomas, Kelly, and Hardy. The rest are shorter guys who don't necessarily fill our need for the height/red zone production/possession receiver. The worst part is, Hardy has all those things. His off-field business is a major red flag though.
  4. You're way off. The guys on Offence just didn't pan out, the Defence is a whole 'nother deal. 1. Harvey - Schoebel and Kelsay are a decent DE tandem, they just couldn't get sacks due to no interior pressure and the lack of LB blitzing. 2. Rivers - Spikes was not even remotely the same after the Achilles injury, and Fletcher left us. 3. DRC/McKelvin - We drafted both Winfield and Clements, two star pro bowl corners, both of whom up and left for big money contracts.
  5. As of right now I do not like any of the WRs enough for us to pick one at number 11. However, with that said I also do not believe that there will be one who fits the bill for what we need in terms of a WR with size come pick 41. And no matter what you say, or how you try to justify it, WR is our biggest need, so deal with it. I believe the Bills would take either of the following with pick 11; Albert, Ellis, Rivers, Cromartie, McKelvin, or Harvey. I then see the Bills playing the waiting game to see how the bottom half of round one unfolds (based on who takes what WR, if any) and then trading back into the lower part of round one to take either; Sweed, Thomas, Kelly, or Hardy. Anybody agree with this as a possibilty?
  6. I certainly admire your passion, but ultimately there are three simple truths here: All we Bills fans can do is speculate, debate, and make cases for the guys who will be realistically avaible at our draft slots. Our opinions don't mean a damn thing, it's just for fun. The Bills staff already has their homework done, has their draft board pretty much set, and knows who "their guys" are.
  7. So you're not looking for the best WR available because we're "only looking for a #2?" That is probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Yeah, we only need a number 2 receiver, so lets try to NOT find the best receiver out there. Good one. I think what he meant was that we need a guy to be a starter opposite Evans, but not someone to step in and be the number one guy right away.
  8. That was awesome, got me pumped too. Great song also. I'm looking forward to seeing more of that this year, our D should be better.
  9. There's a "point value" system in place. Each pick in the draft has a value and therefore a trade would have to consist of picks that equal to the value of the higher selection. So in your case, the cost of moving to the 4th pick would cost the Bills their first round pick, second round pick, and fourth round pick. Here's a link to the trade value chart: http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/features/valuechart.html
  10. I was for Ngata too. Whitner was a surprise. Some had us taking Bunkley too. We ended up with a DT in McCargo who flashed some brilliance last year. With Stroud next to him there's no reason to think he won't emerge.
  11. What a ridiculous pick. NO ONE saw that coming. Ginn is a good returner, but so what. He was never considered a top flight, number one WR type.
  12. You are absolutely right about the lack of first round value. It's just that the need at WR is so great it HAS to be addressed within the first two rounds. Whether we reach in round one, or take the chance that a guy will be there in round two, the Bills MUST select a WR within the first two rounds.
  13. WR is our biggest need, no doubt. But I don't like the value there so much anymore. It's still possible we go and grab Thomas or Sweed, but I'm starting to think the Bills may go CB instead and grab a WR in round two. I would prefer Cason over Smith if we went CB in round two. Carlson instead of Bennett if available, otherwise I can live with it. Love the Owen Schmitt pick. It seems everyone on these boards wants him in round four. We need some LB depth, so I would maybe like to see a LB pick in round five, which you don't have in your mock for some reason.
  14. Ellis DT Cromartie CB McKelvin CB Rivers OLB Sweed WR Thomas WR Albert OG
  15. You think he's a Mizzou fan? LOL, just kidding. Mizzou had a great year and this guy caught 84 balls. That said, I've read that he's kinda soft, plays a finesse game, and isn't all that aggressive. Any truth?
  16. This is just a mock for fun, I wanted to make a realistic mock that covered my team's needs. All of these guys are in the rounds where they are projected to go in. Rucker isn't that great of a talent; he needs to bulk up, speed is average, blocking not that great, and a little inconsistent. He's probably the sixth or seventh best TE in the draft. Davis, Keller, Carlson, Bennett, and Cottam will all go before him. I just like him because he has good hands and caught a lot of balls, which is what we need. Nobody's gonna mistake him for Antonio Gates.
  17. His agent killed him. Didn't tell him about where he'd be running. I've watched film of him too, he is great, the one thing that stood out to me was how well and naturally he catches the ball. All hands.
  18. Yeah I heard that too. It's too late for him now. I truly believe he's fallen to the second round. I still think he'll be a good NFLer though.
  19. You people are impossible to impress, I swear.
  20. They say Albert can play Tackle too. He's such a big, mean, and talented guy. Guards have been going up in value the past few years. The Pats have taken Guards with first round picks and it has worked out well for them.
  21. Either you guys are all crazy, or I'm way off with my commentator evaluations, LOL.
  22. Steve Tasker is a good commentator too, I really like him too.
  23. Really? I love these guys.
  24. Check it out folks, Round 1, Pick 11: Brandon Albert, G, Virginia. This guy makes our O-line top notch, turns Marshawn Lynch into the AFC's leading rusher and helps protect Trent Edwards. Round 2, Pick 41: Malcolm Kelly, WR, Oklahoma. I know, shut up. Big possession WR, good value here too. Red zone target starts immediately opposite Lee Evans. Round 3, Pick 72: Charles Godfrey, CB, Iowa. Good player, fills a need, should compete for starting spot oppositie Terrence McGee. Round 4, Pick 114: Owen Schmitt, FB, West Virginia. A beast, just like Albert he will make our running game better, crushing people as the lead blocker for Lynch. Round 4, Pick 132: Martin Rucker, TE, Missouri. A big guy who caught 84 balls last year. Helps our need for a pass-catching TE, and becomes a safety valve for Edwards. Round 5, Pick 147: Wallace Gilberry, DE, Alabama. High character/motor guy. Played at in an elite program/conference. Ten sacks last year in the SEC. What do you overly-critical people think of this? I think I covered all our needs here.
  25. I hated when he called games, so annoying. Good ridance. IMO the best game commentator duo is Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. Those guys are great. I just wish they called AFC games for CBS since I don't care for the NFC.
