Another Bills fan is always welcome.

My best guess is that McKelvin is our top rated CB. Cason is a sleeper. A deep sleeper though. DRC would be a could pick, I don't think he'll contribute much as a rookie, but when he's ready he'll be a good one. Him opposite McGee allows Greeg to move to nickel, giving us a good defensive backfield. One that could compete with the Pats' offence.

Chiefs looking to trade DE

All the DUIs are a major concern. But he did put up 15 1/2 Sacks in only 14 games. That's monster production on a sub-par D-Line. Plus he's gonna want a ridiculous contract. -

Devensive MVP: Puz. Offensive MVP: Lynch Both these guys, if they play all 16, will have monster statistical seasons. -
LOL. That was funny. It had this "Family Guy" wit to it. I loved it. Now don't go strokin out again. Ha!

The Bills need to make it happen
lets_go_bills replied to Cornerville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chad loves to win, just like anybody. When Cincy had that great year that got killed by Carson's knee injury, Ocho was a model citizen. Why? Cause they were WINNING. If you win and throw seven or eight passes his way a game, the only "problem" you'll have is him celebrating in the endzone. -
You're right, that is crazy.

Ocho is a distraction. But he just likes to celebrate and have fun. He likes to win. He doesn't have any off-field issues. He might be annoying to some, but I find him entertaining. It would be risky to bring him on board. But my question is this: What would it cost to get him? I would not give our pick 11 for him. I would however give up pick 41. -
Awesome question. 1. We gotta take at least one game from the Pats. Divisional opponent, we gotta get one, no excuses. 2. After last year's Monday Night heartbreaker, this time we come out on top. Afterwards everyone is talking playoffs. 3. The Toronto game. Not just because it's our hated rival, but it's a new venue, we need to win it.

QB competition should bring out the best in the QBs. It's still Edwards' job to lose. -
Thing is, Buffalo's "small market" is getting smaller. They are being creative and thinking outside the box. They are reaching out to an untapped market to try and generate some additionally revenue AND increase their fan base.

I agree with your first paragraph 100%. That is our need to a "T". I too also like Jordy Nelson, he's the next great "white-out", lol. Right now I imagine the Bills are seeing that not only would WR be a reach at 11, but they could easily get a WR in round two who's just as good. There is no clear cut favourite this year. I think the Bills will see what is avaiable at 11 when it's their turn to pick, but ultimately I think they go CB, McKelvin maybe. And then they watch closely as to how the rest of the draft unfolds and decide whether a WR they like will be there at 41, or if they need to package a few picks to move up a little to get him. I think the Bills still like Kelly, but only in round two. They also probably like Nelson. But I secretly believe the Bills like James Hardy, and that he'll be their pick. Hardy is the sleeper/shocker pick.

Ha! I thought he alread announced this

This just in: Malcolm Kelly officially receives a second round grade. -
Jordy Nelson WR Kansas State

Exactly. I've been saying this for a long time. Thank you for re-oterating my point. We don't need a burner. Period. We need a guy with size who can win jump balls and use his size to his advantage in the redzone. That's all. -
I'm looking at the schedule, and honestly...

Hey! Can I not be optimistic about this new year, huh? Do the math people, we had too many injuries too count, the single hardest schedule, a rookie QB, a rookie RB, and yet we manged to go 7 and 9. I know we haven't ad the draft yet, but I'm looking at our team and already I like what I see. 1. Stroud's addition is gonna have multiple affects on our team; the rising McCargo will be instantly better, it will give our LBs more room and time to get to the ball, the collapsing pocket will free up our ends to get sacks, and give our corners a break because of increased QB pressure. 2. Puz is healthy. This guy was a tackling machine on the verge of stardom. He was leading the league in tackles before he went down. 3. Whitner will take his game to the next level. 4. So will Crowell. 5. Ko Simpson will emerge. 6. Now that Trent is officially the starter, he'll have a whole offseason and all of training camp to get comfortable with our offense and our o-coordinator. 7. Our o-line is gonna be better, and it wass already good last year. 8. Marshawn will put up even more rushing yards running behind a FB. 9. And be even more of a threat because he will catch more passes out of the backfield. 10. We will bring on board both a WR and TE through the draft, both of whom should make a meaningful contribution right away. 11. In a contract year, I expect Lee to go berserk and tear up defences, all the while building a strong repore with Trent. Call me ignornant, or a hopeless optimistic if you must. But, I choose to view our team through rose-coloured glasses forever baby! We will be at least 10 and 6. But I predict 11 and 5 still. -
Not to make excuses because I hate the Pats so much too. But their schedule seems easy because: a) their divisional opponents didn't do so well last year, especially Miami and New York B. b) the NFC opponent rotation happens to be the NFC West this year, which is a very weak division. But don't worry, I have a theory that the NFL will work to undermine the Pats by having the refs favour their opponents. Ha!

The ten games I mentioned are all really bad teams though. You can't possibly sit there and tell me Oakland, St. Louis, Miami, Kansas City, New York B, Arizona, San Fran, and Denver are gonna be THAT much better. Maybe Denevr and Arizona will be better, but that's all. 11 and 5, and I'm sticking to it. -
The disenfranchisement of a fan.....

Ah man, don't feel that way. You're looking at the glass as half-empty, it's half-full my friend. 1. Ralph will live for another 8-10 years I think, so as long as he's alive, the Bills will remain in Buffalo. 2. This "Toronto thing" is just marketing, to show that the Bills realize they have Canadian support too, not just Western New York. 3. It's also added revenue for our small market team. 4. When Ralph does die I believe Jim Kelly and his partners will step forward and buy this team, keeping it in Buffalo. 5. Western New York won't give up without a fight. 6. The Bills are getting better, and will get off the playoff schnide this year. 7. Bills fever will return to Orchard Park. Although it never left if you ask me. 8. This is part of the NFL showcasing games outside the U.S.A. Are the Giants gonna move to London because they played there? No. Are the Cards gonna move to Mexico because they played there? No. 9. The CFL, and particularily the Argos aren't gonna let the NFL hone in on their turf. 10. Don't look at the Miami in Toronto thing as the NFL making us miss our rival, look at it as giving Toronto the worst opponent possible, and saving the good teams for us at the real home. By the way, I'm Canadian and a proud Season Ticket Holder. I'm against the Bills moving ANYWHERE. I'm mad as hell that it's the Dolphins in Toronto, should be the Niners or Seahawks. And I truly believe in my heart of hearts that the Bills will remain the BUFFALO Bills. So in conclusion, GO BILLS, GO BUFFALO BILLS! -
Enough about Toronto, how about the last home game?

Offical "NO Dome for Miami" Thread
lets_go_bills replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't beleive we don't get to watch the Bills squish the fish in Orchard Park. I'm Canadian, and a Season Ticket Holder, and I hate this. They should have made it either the Niners or Seahawks, not our biggest rival. I know this thread is about the dome, but I need to vent. -
We need a FB. Schmitt is the draft's best FB. Schmitt is a road-grading beast. I think we should take him with our first 4th rounder.
-
Seriously. I see ten game on the schedule who are patsies and we should have no problem beating them. Right now I'm saying these ten games are almost guaranteed wins for us. Here are the ten teams who we can "for sure" beat: Oakland, St. Louis, Arizona, Miami, New York B, Kansas City, San Fransico, Miami, New York B, and Denver. Tell me I'm wrong! I'm so jacked up for this season, I say it every year, but I think we're gonna be great! This schedule is great. Mind you, these are the ten games we'll definately win, I think we can beat Seattle too, but it'll be tough. Cleveland's goin down. Jacksonville will be close. I think we can take one of the two from New England. San Diego will be tough. I'm predicting 11 and 5 and a playoff berth.

I can accept 9-7 and no playoffs ...
lets_go_bills replied to SoCal Pat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't accept that. 11 and 5, Wildcard Playoff spot. No excuses. -
We got another home monday nighter!!!
lets_go_bills replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah. It'll be a great game. Intense and passionate. Two blue collar town teams goin at it, with playoff implications. The Ralph was so loud at that Monday nighter, it was amazing, best day of my life if not for the end result. I'm glad the NFL put another Monday nighter in Buffalo, there's no way they could ignore that Dallas game and how intense it was.
