  1. I've always been a fan of Anquan Boldin. He is such a beast and really plays hard. I would love for us to trade for him. I would gladly part with our 1st and 3rd round picks for him.
  2. Hahahaha.
  3. I'm liking the Charles Godfrey and Mike Pollack picks. Although I could see Pollack lasting until the fourth round.
  4. Yeah. If you're that enamoured with a guy, take him. But if you're willing to take the chance, trade down, and if your guy isn't there, then just take the guy who's next on your draftboard.
  5. Except for Maurice Clarett
  6. Good point. Don't get me wrong here either, I would have no problem if we took him at 11. What I mean is that if you can trade down and STILL get your guy, why wouldn't you? In the process you would: a) pick up more picks to fill more needs/fascilitate other trades. b) STILL get your guy. c) pay him LESS money. Do you agree?
  7. Absolutely. And I think they are a realistic trade partner because at 14, 15, and 16, the Bears, Lions, and Cards could all be considering RB. But they may be content on standing where they are and hoping for a guy to fall. But is that a safe move? Can they afford the risk? Or would they rather add a guy later on, and stick with Jones and Duckett? Mind you, I want us to take James Hardy and Tampa might grab him at 20, and Seattle doesn't pick until 25.
  8. Like I said before, I want this guy on our team, but I don't like him at 11, yet he won't be around come pick 41. And so, naturally I wouldn't be upset if we took him at 11, but ideally I would like us to trade down to get him. The Bills haven't talked about him much, which leads me to believe they're interested in him, especially when you consider this simple fact: HE IS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED FROM THE WR POSITION. A touchdown machine who is a more athletic version of Plaxico Burress... scary.
  9. While I applaud your hard work and statistical analysis, your findings are not difinitive enough to draw any logical conclusions. Yes, the differences for the DL and RB spots could be used to establish a correlation between drafting and success, but your data does not take into account free agent losses and signings. But it is my belief that you build a winner through the draft, and not free agency. Good work, nontheless.
  10. I would like that draft. That is something I could get on board with and consider a good yield.
  11. I want James Hardy to be a Buffalo Bill. He's two years removed from it, I'm sure he will mature more as the years go by. You can't argue with his production: 36 TDs in 33 games.
  12. I heard this, as reported on ESPN. They did sign Jones, but may be in the market for Johnathan Stewart or Rashard Mendenhall. Sounds like another potential trade down partner for us.
  13. Your draft is insane. No offence. Kelly Campbell, Kelly, and Bennett all won't fall that far. Two DE's, both with our first and second picks!? C'mon. I'm sorry, but I just find this draft to be ridiculous.
  14. I think Rice will go round three or four. Him becomming a Bill is not really a realistic scenario IMO. But he think he will carve himself a nice little niche somewhere in the NFL. Maybe as a Darren Sproles type, returning kicks and spelling a number one RB on occasion.
  15. It's true. In the Cover-2 you need a good D-Line. They pressure the QB and take pressure off the CBs. It all starts in the trenches.
  16. You gotta have faith. Besides, passionate fans we are, but football geniuses we are not.
  17. Too much emphasis is placed on 40 times. While they have some meaning, it is not the be-all-to-end-all IMO. My understanding is that teams take into account the field surface as well. I didn't expect him to run a fast 40 anyway, he's 6'4" and 220lbs. He projects as a possession receiver anyway. Many great footballers have run poor 40s and had great careers. The thing I'm most concerned with are his legs, particularily his knees. If he falls in the draft, which he most likely will, he's gonna enter the league with a huge chip on his shoulder to prove his nay-sayers wrong.
  18. While it is not my preference for the Bills to take Thomas at number 11, I would not be surprised or overly dissappointed. I trust that the Bills brain trust knows what they're doing and will make the best decisions for the team moving forward.
  19. Worst part is, it was not just a first and a third. The third came with an escalator clause that could make that third turn into a first in '09. I don't get it. Chad doesn't wanna be there, and yet the Bengals turn down TWO FIRST ROUND DRAFT CHOICES! That makes no sense.
  20. Kelly could go either way I think; bust or boom. At age 21, two bad knees is a major concern, especially in a sport where your knees are your most important body part. Mind you, Frank Gore had TWO re-built knees, and well...
  21. As crazy as it sounds, I actually would not be surprised if we selected Antoine Cason at pick 11. Perfect fit for our D, high character, everything you'd want in a CB prospect except elite timed speed.
  22. That guy was a beast early on in his career. Apparently he only worked out his upper body and was obsessed with himself. I remember hearing he carried with him a topless picture of himself all oiled up. LOL, seriously. Teams were concerned because he had a strong upper but weak lower body. The juicer was like 240 at one point.
  23. I read somewhere else that Kelly is comparable to Jarrett. But if your ask me I'd tell you the jury is still out on Jarrett. Mike Williams would have been a star, that one year layoff killed him. The NCAA should have let him back, it wasn't fair, he only declared because the rule had changed temporarily. Another year with the Trojans would have made him the number one pick I bet.
  24. The Bills will remain in Buffalo. Period.
