  1. Someone who can hop the fence so easily is not a true fan of anyone. He should not be considered a Bills fan. Bledsoe or not, true fans stand by their team through thick and thin, no matter what. I can honestly say that if Buffalo went 0 and 16 on a season, I would still proudly wear by Bills hat. Bandwagon jumpers need not apply.
  2. Good point. You're right. This will be two years together with the same line. Consitency and the gellin' together should yield strong returns. This O-Line ought to be a team strength by season's end, if not sooner. It will be hard to justify breaking them up. Fowler is good, he's just a little small and he does have trouble taking on big DTs. But he is smart and makes the right line calls.
  3. How the season pans out will certainly dictate how we go about addressing our roster. Naturally if Crowell has a big year he'll hit FA looking for a big deal. Buffalo won't franchise him, IMO. I like Crowell though, and he's a well rounded player who's only 26. His best football is probably still be ahead of him. If McKelvin shows promise, or even starts opposite McGee (which I think he will), Greer will be allowed to walk. We must re-sign Evans. And I'm sure we will lock up Peters, maybe not until next year though. But there are a lot of unknowns here: Who will be the starting FS? Simpson or Wilson? Will Schobel and Kelsay have good years with Stroud and McCargo/Johnson/Williams in the middle eating space and occupying blockers? How does rookie DE Ellis figure into the mix? Will Fowler be re-signed or will they let him walk and look for a bigger replacement? All these factors and more figure into our future plans, but we can't be sure until the season is over and we have a clearer picture of where we stand as a football team. But I like where your head is, there's not much to talk about regarding football these days. The offseason is so long and we're experiencing a lull here until camp opens July 27. Then the fun begins. We'll see whose gonna start, who looks good, etc. Then pre-season and BAM! Seattle's in town before you know it. C'mon, Sept 7th!
  4. Bowens has sleeper written all over him. He is fast and if he beefs up a bit he could be decent. I think he's gonna be a beast on ST. I like Crowell, we drafted him and he's solid all around. But if he has a monster year he may be asking for more money then we would care to offer. While drafting may be good, it is risky. Crowell is a proven commodity whose really begun to turn himself into a good football player ever since he cracked the starting rotation in '05. And at 26 he's just hitting his prime, I expect a big year out of him. The guy fills the stat sheet. Evans is priority number one, Peters is number two.
  5. Peters should just play one more year, then get his deal. He does deserve a pay day though, and we need him in camp. But we need to lock up Evans first. Crowell too.
  6. I think (and hope) that they avoid this. They need to get a deal done by March '09. They'll probably strike an agreement at the eleventh hour just to add suspense . I also would like to see them cap rookie contracts. I think the Bills are simply making sound business moves by securing guys they want well before their contracts expire, or before they emerge as a star (see Jason Peters) lol.
  7. I hear ya! Camp opens July 27, preseason late August, and then the season is ON!
  8. I think it was a fair assessment.
  9. I disagree with your disagreement. Leodis is too athletic and fluid to not start right away. Hardy's quick development is very important too, though.
  10. Ha! If you're referring to the Frank Caliendo impersonation of Madden talking about Favre, then that's hilarious. "Brett Favre is so good he can throw the ball 100 yards, and I can only throw the ball 1 yard, so that mean Brett Favre can throw the ball 99 yards more than me!" "Brett Favre is so good that if you could clone him and have a footbal team full of Brett Favres, my head is exploding just thinking about it." That stuff is so funny.
  11. Yeah, I just read this and watched the video on ESPN.com. He's considering it, saying he's, "got the itch."
  12. Most pleasant surprise? I'm gonna say Hardy on offence and McCargo on defence.
  13. You get 'em end of July/start of August. But I already got the individual game tix I bought. Can't wait to get my paws on my seasons again!
  14. If you ask me, the only thing annoying about standing up is the people who feel it necessary to stand up and make their way through the aisle to get food or urinate, etc during a play. Being a season ticket holder I can tell you first hand that when people stand it's for a good reason, so good in fact, that EVERYONE STANDS. Ie: big third down, late fourth quarter, TD celebration.
  15. No standing? WHAT!? What are they gonna do next? Ask us to use our "inside voices" when our team scores?
  16. There's certainly a lot of players to watch on our team. No one will have more eyes on him than Edwards though. Still, my guess for best Bills performance of the season will be Lynch. If he plays all 16 games, I expect 1,400+ yards and 12 TDs.
  17. It all starts in the trenches gentleman. You can't even throw it to a WR if your QB doesn't have protection.
  18. I disagree. Several coaches were talking about Peters' talent and ability during the '06 season. They saw the raw talent and unlimited potential. The man is huge and moves really well. He made the pro bowl for a reason. You have to take it for what it is. And what it is, is that Peters is 26, with one full season at LT, and played really well, earning a pro bowl ballot. In the eyes of football analysts this typically translates into someone who has only scratched the surface of his potential and ability.
  19. I'm a season ticket holder and I haven't received mine yet. Usually it's not until the end of July/start of August. As a side note though, I did just receive my individual game tickets yesterday in the mail, the four more I bought to the Monday night game vs. the Browns.
  20. They're trying to whet NFL fans' appetites during this period of lull from the end of the draft to the start of camp. Making these lists is no easy task. Kudos to the writers for giving it a shot, as they can never win and there will always be debates over their selections. Personally I think it's a decent list. Peters is definately the only guy from our team who deserves a spot on that list anyway.
  21. You nailed it all. I feel just as optimistic and excited as you do for the season. The potential for great things is there. But I'm also excited to see what Evans is going to do, especially seing he is in his contract year, playing opposite Hardy, and will have a more seasoned Edwards throwing to him.
  22. Whitner is a great player who is poised to have a breakout year. He hits like a hammer and is terrific in run support. With an improved defence we should see him make more plays on the ball and become a bigger factor in pass defence. He has gotten better each year. At least he's played better than Huff.
  23. I don't think the NFL will suspend him. He'll just get a fine at worst.
  24. I'm as big a fan as ever. If we went 0 and 16 for a season, I'd still proudly wear my Bills hat. GO BILLS!
  25. Lindy's take was a lot better, for sure. They have us winning a wild card spot, so I believe Lindy's to be the most accurate prognosticators.
