  1. Some good arguements and facts. But the reality is that Jauron is OUR coach. He is for this year, at least. So we must get behind him. He did coach the Bears toa good season and earned himself coach of the year honors. However, he may not be "the guy", but we're stuck with him, so I support him. I think he is a good motivator and really got his guys to play well last year considering the endless injuries and Everett tragedy. We had some very close games and could have very easily been 10 and 6 or even 11 and 5. So I'm not ready to write him off yet. But when he is outed, I say let the Bill Cowher era begin!
  2. Evans and the Bills are still actively negotiating his deal. I expect the deal to be announced offical and final before the season starts.
  3. I hope this is true. We really need him. We have no OT depth, Walker is out of position, lots of injuries at OT, and now our RG is out of position filling in at OT. I hope this is true and that he reports to camp healthy and in shape.
  4. Letting Fat Pat leave town so easily was a mistake of epic proportions. Big, strong, disruptove DTs are hard to come by. And look what happened to our run D when he left.
  5. The games in TO are not the first step to moving the Bills, they are the first step to keeping the Bills in Buffalo. The idea worked. Ticket sales are way up, added revenue is coming in, and the fan base will grow as it reaches a bigger audience. Different driving laws here, and in my experience, bad drivers is a universal problem, lol. And yeah, Clifton Hill is cool. It's cold in the U.S. too. A channel called "Global TV" usually does. But we get all the American Networks too. I just watch the road games on CBS.
  6. See you in November, Spikes.
  7. Someone will give him an incentive-laden contract and the chance to start. There are always teams looking for QBs. In the '09 offseason I expect these teams to be searching for an answer at QB: Miami, Baltimore, KC, Chicago, Detroit, Minney, Carolina, and Tampa. JP is very athletic and has a cannon arm. His poor decision making, risk taking, poor accuracy, and improvising have plagued him and caused him to be inconsistent. It was always a love/hate relationship for me. I'd cheer him when he unloaded an 80 yarder to Lee, then boo him when he forced a throw that got picked off. The bad plays far outweighed the good ones IMO. But there is no denying his athleticism and arm strength.
  8. I can't believe that anyone could be so ignorant as to base their opinions on watching one preseason game. Preseason has always been meaningless in all sports, but this rings far truer in football.
  9. The fish aren't "better" just cause they have Pennington. He was a bust, has no arm strength, and was jettisoned from his team for a reason: he wasn't good enough. This move does not scare me one bit. Also, I think Favre is one of the greatest ever and he is definately an upgrade. His presence alone does not guarantee anything for the Jets. It's not like they signed a QB in his prime. We'll have to take a wait-and-see approach. Here are some realities of the Favre situation that could work against him: 1. He is on a new team. 2. New offensive system. 3. New coaches and teamates. 4. Stronger conference. 5. He may be a little out of shape. 6. He's 38. 7. He is INT prone. 8. Has a new receiving corps to get in sync with.
  10. I've always wanted one, but they're pretty expensive. Especially when you consider that they pretty much are just a poster. Nontheless, I have been close to buying the Bills helmet one.
  11. Thanks. That was some fresh reading in the Peters saga. I hope that is true. We need him.
  12. The only football house I've been to is the Ralph, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I must say it is loud and I am one of the contributors to that . Also, the MNF game against Dallas was SO loud that I STILL cannot get over it, lol. I loved it. Personally I would love to go to another blue collar town, like Pittsburgh, and sample the noise, and strut in my Bills gear, hoperfully not dying in the process.
  13. No one denies he should get paid. But he needs to open the lines of communication and above all, report to camp.
  14. My apologies. I was not trying to bust yer balls. I just noticed that your post came well after it was already reported that Favre would in fact report to camp and had been reinstated.
  15. No, thank YOU. Perhaps you ought to read before you post. You stated IF Favre reports and IF he is reinstated. But he already said he WILL report and he already IS reinstated. You posted your nonsense AFTER these things already were announced. If you need further clarification, let me know.
  16. The very basis of your entire arguement is that because there are no QBs that seem worthy in the next few years, Bledsoe is virtually a lock for a spot in Canton. Take a moment to re-read your post and think about what you are saying. You are saying Bledsoe will get a spot in Canton by default. That is ludicous. The merits of the HoF are most certainly not based on quota-filling. Give your head a shake.
  17. Favre has been reinstated and will report to camp Monday. It has already been confirmed. There are also reports that it will now be an open competition for the QB job. This Favre thread probably will get buried, as it should.
  18. I gladly make my way to the Ralph to watch the pre-season. I love the chance to see the rookies get on the field. It is football. It's that first taste of the NFL season, and I take in the whole game, but I also take it for what it's worth: No real impact on the season as far as stats go, but I first glimpse at your team. I don't see how it's much different from the folks attending camp practices. All you gotta do is pray that no one gets injured.
  19. Bledsoe had some good years and some bad ones. He was a number one overall pick whose lack of consistency plagued his career. His lack of mobility and poor decision-making also stand out. While I would say he was a good, servicable QB, he is certainly not Canton-worthy.
  20. In absolutely no way, shape or form is a lack of communication a "good" strategy. Peters needs to make public what he wants and expects, as well as show up to camp and prove he is healthy and in shape and ready to resume his dominance at the LT position.
  21. Thank you. My point exactly. What we have here is a failure to communicate. And that is the only way we can know ANYTHING for god's sake! The line's of communication have to be open for there to be any progress.
  22. Thanks for that. Good read. Here's a quote that really stood out to me, "The defense is of playoff caliber, the special teams are knock 'em dead. Pay Peters!" I don't think the Bills should cave, though. As it sends a message to players and agents that they can eventually get what they want. I hope the Bills stay true to their word and not negotiate until he shows up. He should be paid, but we need assurances that, a) he's in shape and b) he's not hurt. The incentives and back-loading would give Peters reason to work hard and continue to succeed. It also seems Parker is too busy with Jackson's holdout in St. Louis to bother with Peters' situation, which really annoys me. He plays a premier position, is only 26, is still getting better, and is only the third highest paid guy on that line. One thing is certain, he IS the best player on our team. He is crucial to our success and our season. I anxiously await this ordeal's conclusion.
  23. Any proof? Because all I have read and heard points to the contrary. Support your claim.
  24. I was looking forward to watching him on ST. He is supposed to be super fast. The guy racked up his Tackle count in college. Heard the injury caused him to tear some ligaments in his knee. My prayers are with him.
  25. Faulk seems like a very nice guy, but man is he dumb. He just wings it, never actually does any homework. I still remember him saying a couple months back that we needed a LT!
