  1. They're saying the only way the Raiders could hope to win Sunday is if Ed Hochuli is reffing, sending calls their way and if Buffalo forgeys, and shows up to play on Monday instead of Sunday. http://www.raiderfans.net/forum/oakland-ra...rking-week.html Not what I was expecting. They can't even get behind their own team. Also, someone posted that Land Kiffin said that had the Raiders passed on Russell and taken Johnson, they would have picked Trent Edwards in round 2. Crazy, if it's true. http://www.raiderfans.net/forum/oakland-ra...-round-2-a.html They're basically banking on us overlooking/looking past them. I think this is a trap game, and we can't get too excited and too ahead of ourselves. We have to respect the Raiders and play our game of football. Control the tempo and know that the Raiders are a wounded team with a lame duck coach, which means they may not hold anything back as they've nothing to lose. Tread carefully Bills, it's our year.
  2. He's certainly well respected amongst his peers, but he is indeed a little underrated. I'm not so sure he'll even get to 100, it is no small feat. At age 31 he may start to slow down a bit. But he is known to get sacks in bunches, and with Stroud anchoring the middle, he should still be very procuctive. I'm pulling for him, but I won't start getting excited about it until he hits the 90 mark.
  3. We're always loud on Sunday.
  4. All true! I agree!
  5. He's a great ref and is very well respected. He just messed up and made a bad call. Mind you, if that cost the Bills a game I would probably be calling for his job.
  6. That's awesome. We have great fans.
  7. Honestly, I think JP and Tarvaris are very similar. Both are really great athletes who just don't quite have the football smarts to be starters in this league.
  8. You do know we just beat two playoff teams, right? And that you got hammered by the Broncos so convincingly I almost cried for yall. And that win was a close one over one of the worst teams in football, who are QB'd by a guy named Thigpen. Welcome, and hopefully you stick around for Monday, so we can verbally abuse you until you abandon your pathetic team. Kiffin is a dead man walkin. And so are you. Also, how can the NFL's all time sack leader be overrated?
  9. Yeah, I read it on the TBD homepage. Fantastic analysis. A great read from a former GM. Reading it made me feel all warm and fuzzy .
  10. Yeah, first it wasn't supposed to rain, then rain later in the evening, then rain after the game. What happened? It rained during the first half. But I didn't mind, we won after all, and it was a great game.
  11. My vote goes to Donte Whitner.
  12. Well, Week 2 of the NFL is now in the books. Like the rest of you, I am incredibly excited about our season so far and I think the best is yet to come. And so the following are my thoughts and observations of the week that was. Bills: -Our young and talented team is maturing and really came of age on Sunday with that huge come-from-behind win. -Trent Edwards is looking more and more like "the guy." -Turk Schonert is doing a great job calling the Offence and playing to our strengths. -Bring on Oakland, and bring on 3 and 0. Rest of the NFL: Dolphins: Bad team. Patriots: Quelled the Favre-ness, a least for a little while. Jets: Got brought back down to earth. Ravens: Bye. Bengals: Back to being the Bungals. Browns: Ready the panic button, flopping under the hype, ready Quinn. Steelers: Running the ball, big-time Defence, Steeler football, and AFC elite. Texans: Bye. Colts: Manning slowly returning to form, avoided the 0-2 hole. Jaguars: Ha! 0-2, the Offence is hurting, but the Defence is still there. Titans: Off to a great start with strong run game and defence, despite VY crisis. Broncos: Explosive offence, but benefitted from a bad call, gutsy coach. Chiefs: Bad team. Raiders: Beat a bad team, but McFadden was a beast. Chargers: 0-2 hole, Merriman out, LT hurting, but Rivers is good. Cowboys: Class of the NFC, big-time Offence, huge win. Giants: Eli is for real, Tuck is an emerging star, they're not missing Osi or Strahan... yet. Eagles: Lost a close one, but McNabb is back, these guys are good. Redskins: This team is still iffy, still adapting to their new coach/system. Bears: The Defence is back, Forte is for real, but QB still plagues this team. Lions: Same 'ol Lions. Packers: Rogers doing great, but yet to face a real challenge. Vikings: Not the start they wanted, but Defence and run game is tops. Falcons: Bad team. Panthers: Their Defence is back, healthy Delhomme is the key, and now they get Smith back. Saints: Took a step back, their Offence is good, but their Defence is bad. Buccaneers: Gruden's QB-carousel is annoying, not sure what to make of these guys yet. Cardinals: Warner is playing like his old-MVP days, but beat two bad opponents. Rams: Bad team, worst in football, Linehan is done. 49ers: Bad team. Seahawks: Super Bowl, four straight division titles, oh how the mighty have fallen. Well, that's it. Hope you enjoy it. Try and resist the temptation to be critical . And remember, GO BILLS!
  13. I'd love to do something like this. Consider my name thrown in the hat.
  14. Man, I like the road unis.
  15. All different types of weather, All different types of weather, All different types of weather. He can do it all, he can make all the throws, He can do it all, he can make all the throws, He can do it all, he can make all the throws.
  16. Go Bills, indeed.
  17. Yeah, the booing was funny.
  18. While he didn't have any "stats", he was doubled all day, freeing up his line-mates to make plays. He also kept Puz free to make tackles. He did tip two passes. He was good. B+
  19. Rogers has only played two games. I think teams will figure him out soon. Besides, the Lions got torched in both their games. I only wish we could play them. Great way to pad your stats .
  20. Beastmode smacked the Jags star MLB Peterson in the face witha wicked stiff-arm yesterday. It put him down and it was awesome.
  21. McNabb is healthy again and Westbrook is an elite back. Their D is always good, and it throws some pretty exotic blitz packages at opponents. They are a well coached bunch.
  22. Damn, and we play the Broncos December 21.
  23. Corto's penalty was on a different play. And it was off-set by a Jags penalty on the same play. I'm not sure who it was on, but it wasn't Corto.
  24. What if, what if, what if. Clearly Jauron has confidence (and rightfully so) in his ST to nail the FG and cover the ensuing kick. And trusted that his D could handle the Jags O, like they did all day. With only a few seconds left, they would have to pass, which is NOT their strong suit. It was the RIGHT call.
  25. They should. That whistle cost the Chargers the game. If that were us on the bad end of it, we would be furious.
