  1. It's funny. All the pre-game talk was about how Williams would blow up Preston and our line. All the post-game talk was about how good Preston was and that the line gave up no sacks. WGR interviewed Preston post-game. He said he had been waiting for his chance, his chance to play, his chance to start. And he certainly took advantage. He earned/deserves another chance to start, show he's for real. Our O-Line really came together yesterday. Peters pissed off all the fans in my section when he got the penalty, but he played well all game. I think he found his game (finally). Even with Fowler hurt, and then Butler, we stood strong. Everyone, myself included, was worried about Trent getting hit. They must have known the stakes because they blocked all day for him. It's no coincidence Trent completed 83% of his passes. The run blocking is still another story, and an enigma, but when they ran outside they had some success. I'm glad the line is getting it together.
  2. I'm sure you'll do what's best for the site, but I say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." This board kicks ass as it is.
  3. It's because he's from SD that it makes even more sense! .
  4. Ok, let's not play semantics. Let's just bask in the glow of sweet victory.
  5. I couldn't be more excited!
  6. As a diehard Bills fan I can't bring myself to ever predict a loss for my beloved team, but I honestly think the next three games are wins. Not necessarily easy wins, but wins nonetheless. The Chargers game was the tough one, and we did it.
  7. It seemed like Perry dialed up the blitzes, but actually they were just more effective than in past weeks.
  8. That's what a good title does, it hooks you and gets you to read the piece. It was actually posed as a question, not a statement. Nice try! Mission accomplished!
  9. Call me crazy, but Schobel's absence didn't cause a single problem. Hell, I didn't even notice! I'm not naive enough to suggest that we are actually better without a proven pro bowl pass rusher, like Schobel, but... We generated more pass rush today than in recent weeks. And that's going up against a premiere O-Line that blocks for the number one offense in the league. Rivers was frustrated and rattled, which resulted in him turning the ball over three times, basically handing us the game (most telling stat in football people). It's good to know we can have a guy miss a game and not suffer from it. Our D was actually fairly banged up today. Great job by Perry and the rest of the staff and for the players to step up and shut down an AFC powerhouse like the Chargers. 5 and 1 baby! Go Bills!
  10. My friend Ron Burgundy says, "It's kind of a big deal." lol
  11. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  12. Hard to say, but those are definately the top two choices. But I'd go with Detroit because Cincy has the better QB.
  13. And our lead on the AFC East crown grows.
  14. Agreed. But I might add: 12) Evans was finally utilized in the short passing game, and it paid dividends. Imagine that! 13) Whitner, you only had one tackle and man it was HUGE! You made your presence felt today. Good job. 14) You're talking about a secondary that was missing a starting safety and corner, as well as a nickel corner, that went up against the league's top pass attack, and held it to only 14 points, which actually should of been less (McKelvin). And like you said, McKelvin's coverage deficiencies are definately heart attack inducing.
  15. Yeah, they were open, just dark, cash only.
  16. Squish the fish big time, Bills win the A F C East, Teal is a gay colour.
  17. Glad everyone picked Mitchell. He was crazy good.
  18. I just got home from the game. Here's what happened. At about 12:30 I was in my seat when I heard a loud pop. I looked over towards the scoreboard and could see smoke coming from something behind the scoreboard, just outside the stadium. Power came back on in time for the game, then went back out after ten minutes. I went to the bathroom, which was quite dark, and someone said that he had a buddy in the press box who said it was a balloon that hit a tranformer and fried the area. WGR reported that it was a helium balloon after the game. It was annoying not having the scoreboard, but if the game wasn't even shown on TV for parts, then that's worse. At least I got to see the whole game. Freak thing to happen.
  19. The loss was good thing, we needed it. Hear me out and don't get me wrong, I'd rather of won and be 5-0. But the loss was humbling and put things into perspective. It's a long season and we've got a ways to go yet. It also cooled the media on us, which takes away some unwanted heat and attention. I think the loss will make our guys hungry and ready for more.
  20. I'd like to quote one of my favourite movies, Training Day. "Newspaper... 80% bull sh-t, but highly entertaining."
  21. Those are funny. Tasteful humor. I like it.
  22. And he won all three. Wow, imagine that.
  23. 1. West coast team travels cross-country to play a 10am game against an up-start team that is 4-1 and fresh off a bye. 2. Coach Jauron is a great game-planner and has had two weeks to prepare. 3. After two road games and a bye, rabid fans hungry for a home game will rock the building. 4. The return of Trent and Roscoe. 5. Chargers have the 31st ranked pass defense. 6. Our pass defense is ranked 8th, which is good going up against Rivers. 7. LT is still hobbled and hurtin. 8. We're still number one in the NFL on 3rd down defense. Need more?
