  1. You're right, he's not as cheap as some make him out to be. But he is a rather smart businessman and knows he operates in a small-market area. And the contract given to Dockery and most recently Evans, are examples of his "paying up." But something has got to change.
  2. I hear Dick also doesn't believe in winning either.
  3. I've finally had it with Jauron. I know much of you have had it with him for quite a while, but I'm now joining you. This season had been unfair and unkind to say the least and I think a change is necessary to turn this thing around. Many a name has been tossed around on the boards; Cowher, Schottenhiemer, Fox, Billick, Mariucci. And each have their ups and downs. Cowher is my choice, but he could go anywhere he wants and he says he's strongly leaning towards not coming back. Fox will stay in Carolina. Billick would be a decent choice. And Mariucci I'm not a fan of. At the risk of experiencing some blowback, I'm liking Marty. Cowher would be my No. 1 choice, but it's not realistic at this point, I know that a lot of people aren't very high on "Martyball" around here. Too conservative with the lead, great in the regular season, bad in the playoffs, and so on. But I wouldn't have a problem with bringing Schottenhiemer to Buffalo. His hard-nosed approach and winning track record are certainly strong selling points to say the least. At least he'd give Marshawn the friggin ball. I'm not exactly thrilled about "starting over" in terms of the coaching staff, but I would certainly rather watch this team go one and done in the playoffs than settle for 7-9/8-8/ 9-7 mediocrity every year. The head coaching talk is premature, but Jauron is not exactly a fan-favourite, especially now. So this talk seems appropriate as we as fans are quite frustrated with all the losing, further compounded by the very evil teasing of a 5-1 start to the season. His extension was never officially announced and apparently Ralph was "livid" after the Browns game, and was nowhere to be found after the Niners game. Furthermore, it is my hunch that Ralph may finally just say f*** it to his frugality, and start spending on players and coaches so that he may see us take another run at the SB before he dies. Thoughts?
  4. Damn right. Lynch is the best player on offense and needs to carry it AT LEAST 20 times a game. He is the hardest running back in football. Just give him the damn ball. He should be the focal point of our offense. The offense should be built around and run through him.
  5. What an unbelievable coincidence, I'M frustrated too.
  6. Damn, I sold my Browns $45 face value for $67 each too. No joke. That's crazy.
  7. Naturally, JP is going to want to go to a place where he has a legitimate shot at starting. Therefore I think possibly landing places for him are: Kansas City, Oakland, Detroit, Minnesota, Tampa Bay, and San Fransico. Detroit pretty much has the top pick locked up and without Millen they won't take a WR (zing!), so I think they'll go QB. And with Stafford, Bradford and Tebow some other teams will go QB too. So it's hard to pick where he'll go. But I'm gonna say Gruden will bring him in with a promise of a chance to compete for the starter's job. Garcia is old and so is Greise. I think JP will go and join the Bucs.
  8. He wasn't at first, which is why I mentioned it. Then he posted the above quote, and edited his post to include Fred. But thanks anyways.
  9. If your life/work schedule allows you to make the drive for a couple of the games, then do it. If you can make four games or more than it's worth it. Otherwise it's not. I have seasons. This is my second season and I freaking love it. No regrets at all! Best investment I've made. I only have to travel about an hour from my house to Orchard Park.
  10. For the most part I would agree, but: -I'd like to re-sign Crowell if we can get him at a good price. -Lehman provides decent depth. -Greer is definately gone.
  11. Isn't Fred Jackson a FA too? A restricted one, but still an FA.
  12. Technically, you're right. But Bill Cowher certainly has a love for the game and for the players. Even loose-cannon Joey Porter said he loved his coach, kissed him and said he'd go to battle for him every Sunday. Bill loves the game and loves coaching. He just wanted a break from it and wanted to spend time with his family. He'll come back to coaching whether it's next year or in two years.
  13. My vote is for Cowher. That is the kind of coach you want. A player's coach and motivator who gets the best out of his guys. Hard-nosed football, he's all about power running and mean defense. I love that kind of football. Bill Cowher would make a great coach for us. He'd fit in pretty easily in our blue collar city too.
  14. Dude, we're 11 games into their rookie seasons. This talk is very premature.
  15. I like our draft picks at one and two. McKelvin has barely played but he should great ability against KC. Hardy is quite young and unpolished but is quite big and athletic. He will get better with each year. Besides, you can't judge a draft until about four years down the road.
  16. Pro Bowl voting on nfl.com has been up for about six weeks now. Where've you been?
  17. The Sabres aren't playing well.
  18. No sympathy here. He had it all, and I mean ALL. And he blew it. His owner loved him dearly and showered him with millions upon millions of dollars. He had many endorsement deals and his jersey sold like crazy. And when he got caught, he lied to the faces of his owner and the commish. Then his frieds got flipped by the police and ratted him out and he got burned hard. He deserved what he got. He earned what he got.
  19. I hope he gets it. He had a great week. The pick-six was just an incredible play.
  20. Clements=Boo. Spikes=Cheer.
  21. It pisses me off. He so easily nailed that 56-yarder. And he had enough leg on it to hit it from 66 yards. Not fair. The Browns suck too. DAMMIT.
  22. That is awesome. Way to represent Bills-nation. And also, I'm glad you put that lady in her place, sounds ridiculous the she was behaving.
  23. It's all about tie-breakers at 10-6.
  24. Yup, a couple iggles had several chances to bring him down (poor tackling indeed), but Ed is a hungry player. Besides, there's a reason those guys play on O and not D.
