  1. I couldn't agree more with those two points.
  2. I guess it was just wishful thinking on my part. You'd think he'd spend spend spend just so he can see his team make one last run at the Super Bowl before he dies and the team is sold.
  3. The Toronto deal is a smart business move. We just pocketed $78 mil! Hopefully Ralph spends it on players/coaches cuz he can't take it to the grave with him. The Bills are still viable in WNY and will stay. And of course the short term problems are more to talk about because the present is all that matters. The future is an unkown. Who cares about politics, I just wanna focus on football and the season at hand. "The past is history, tomorrow's a mystery but today's a gift, that's why they call it the present." - Mike Ditka
  4. The worst part is people seem to think we have the personnel to make an immediate switch to the 3-4. Crazy! The secondary is set but Puz is the only capable LB and Stroud is the only capable DL. We're short three LBs, one of whom has to be a DE/LB tweener pass rushing fiend. We're also short two DEs.
  5. They also have an owner who isn't a cheap mofo.
  6. I don't know where all this 3-4 talk came from. It seems random. Our D has played well this year. Is it the fact that our O can't do squat against a 3-4?
  7. If only these sad sacks could get some quarterback sacks, we'd be ok.
  8. Cowher is my number one choice but it won't happen, so I like Schottenheimer if we're picking from former HCs. If we go the Co-ordinator route I'm definately feeling Spagnuolo. I also like McDaniels because he is the architect of some mean offenses, not to mention the fact that he's made Cassel look good. I'm also giving a nod to Jim Mora. Even if he didn't get us to the playoffs at least the post-game press conferences would be hilarious. Playoffs!? PLAYOFFS!?
  9. I found I am in complete agreement with everything said in the clip posted by Die Hard.
  10. Give us something to cheer about, Bills. Something to be happy about.
  11. So depressing... so true...
  12. The way Lynch was running coupled with the bad weather and how close the score was throughout the game, Lynch honestly should have gotten 30-35 carries that day.
  13. They're just frustrated and are venting. As depressing as the mood is, everything these guys said is true.
  14. It is depressing but all the losing seasons, then this year's teasing great start and bad finish, the Toronto thing. It all compounds the misery. We just want them to win, dammit. I didn't like it when he said the Bills are a second rate team because Ralph is cheap and buys cheaper, second rate coaches and players. But he may be right. The fans are mad at this team and its mediocrity, but continue to show up because they don't want this team to leave Buffalo. It is a vicious cycle.
  15. Ah crap.
  16. True that. Although I think the O-Line has played really well the last three games. Peters is coming on (finally). I don't mind the GM-by-committee thing. Brandon is doing a good job and Guy and Modrak are alright. But Jauron and Co. need to go. Bring on Steve Spagnuolo.
  17. Like I said, hell freezes over. But thanks fo the vid. Love Mora. "Playoffs!? Don't talk about playoffs! You kiddin me? Playoffs!? I just hope we can win a game." Classic.
  18. 100% right. I couldn't agree more. Quarterbacking is all about these 4 things: 1. Pocket awarenes/presence. 2. Ability to read defenses/coverages. 3. Going through your progressions. 4. Accuracy (duh!) and touch. A cannon arm is just a bonus. You have to be able to go deep and get a good 40, 50 yards of air under your pass while maintianing accuracy, but this 80-yard bomb throwing business is useless. Look at Jamarcus Russell. You don't hail mary often either.
  19. Crap. Schefter is usually right about these things. But he definately does not know the language of the contract, so naturally there may be a clause that voids the deal if he does not take this team to the playoffs or post a certain record. But if it is announced that he is extended there will be a fan uproar and possibly a drop in season ticket sales. Ralph isn't stupid and I believe the reports that say he is livid with this team's performance are valid. Odds are he won't want to eat Jauron's contract and may let him stay, but it's hard to imagine him letting the Bills achieve mediocrity for three more years. Who knows, maybe hell will freeze over, we'll circle the wagons, rally the troops, win out, go 10-6, have other teams fold and squeak into the playoffs. Something's gotta give.
  20. He's agreeing with Mort. Get him!
  21. Another cheap shot. Do you suppose this will only end if we re-hire TD? That or when Mort croaks.
  22. Oh boy.
  23. Here's another comparison of those years: 90-97: Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed, Bruce Smith, Daryl Talley. 00-07: None of the above.
