  1. That would be nice, but I'm not so sure about this guy. A sophmore coming out of the Conference USA raises some red flags for me. Tough to argue with all those catches he made and his size is nice. I'll reserve judgement until after the Combine.
  2. With Bradford out, USC QB Mark Sanchez is set to cash in. Literally. And seeing how he thrashed the Nittany Lions with his 28 for 35 passing, piling up 413 yards and 4 TDs with zero picks, he's a first rounder for sure. The Combine is going to be exciting as Sanchez and Stafford battle for top QB honors, and the likely right to go number one overall. Link: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft09/news/story?id=3833465
  3. Well, with Mays going back to USC, he's out. And with Gresham going back to Oklahoma, he's out. And with Maybin declaring, he's in. The Bills can't go DB now, can they? The Bills can't go TE because Pettigrew is a reach, no? Of ocurse we could go ahead and grab Mack, solidifying the C position for ten years. But with one more pass rusher in the mix I think we have a great shot at a real blue chip DE. Whether it be Orakpo, Brown, Maybin, or Hardy. We should end up having our pick of at least a few of them. It almost seems that the Bills have no choice but to address the DE position in round one. Thoughts?
  4. This hurts us. We do need a TE and him not declaring means all TEs get bumped up one. We'll have to go after one in the second round if we want a decent one.
  5. I agree. The gameday thread thing is what really bugs me. Creating them so early and we always ended up losing those games.
  6. I am. I hear he's dumb as dirt, why would he want to stay in school still? He was a first round lock. Poor decision IMO.
  7. I disagree. I'm sure that after what Matt Ryan did this year the fish may have taken him instead. Detroit has long been without a legit QB and someone needs to throw the ball to CJ. And seeing how deep this year's draft is at Tackle, and O-Lineman in general, the Lions can grab a Tackle with the first round pick they got from Dallas. This logic makes more sense because Stafford is the only first round QB right now, but there are numerous Tackles with first round grades, including; Smith, Oher, Monroe, and Smith. There are also first round interior lineman with Robinson at OG and Mack at C. If Stafford has a good Combine workout and throws well at his pro day, he'll be a lock for number one overall. The Lions will be looking to duplicate the turnaround success Atlanta had after they hit rock botttom last year.
  8. Good call by Bradford. Polish his game and be the consensus number one pick next year. I feel Stafford is a better QB anyway. Should be an interesting draft with only one legit first round QB. It'll be tough for the Lions to pass on Stafford now.
  9. That is not fair! It could've been Plaxico Burress.
  10. The draft is certainly booming with potential and talent but is definately short on sure things. I imagine a lot of these guys wanna cash in now before a new CBA caps the salaries rookies can make.
  11. Heck, they said Jerry Rice should have retired and not tarnish his legacy. But he went to Oakland where he piled up more stats and made more pro bowls.
  12. You mean Myron Rolle? He would have been a first or second rounder this year, but will head to Oxford to get a one-year Master's instead. Good for him, he didn't wanna pass up the tremendous opportunity to go there as a Rhodes Scholar. He'll be available next year but it will cost him, he'll most likely wind up a late rounder. Can't fault a guy for knowing there's more to life than football. He wants to be a neurosurgeon and open a clinic in the Bahamas after his playing days are over.
  13. He needs to go away for good. There is a very obvious pattern of disturbing behaviour here.
  14. Toomer is certainly a viable option but I'd rather take a run at Michael Clayton, Bryant Johnson or Reggie Williams.
  15. My only complaint about the Ralph is how long it takes to get through the pat-downs. Geez those guys are slow, I missed the kickoff and first three plays of a game this year thanks to those turtles. Oh and the $9 for a beer is crazy.
  16. Caldwell is gonna do well as an HC.
  17. An 0-4 start, followed by a ridiculous 9-2 run. Win and in, and we were given the glorious Christmas gift of facing the Steelers backups at home. And then we lost. And then Mularkey quit. And then Jauron and his 7-9's began.
  18. We'll definately go 0-4 if you keep making gameday threads at 9am you cursed SOB.
  19. Good times. Happy times. This sucks.
  20. lol, me too.
  21. If Orakpo is available at 11 I can't imagine the Bills passing on him. I think his combine workout will push him to the top, but you never know. Brown has the chance to be special but they're calling him a better fit at 3-4 OLB. I think that is more a byproduct of the prevelance of 3-4 defenses and the successes pass rushing OLBs have had (see Ware). But watching him play, he can clearly play down in a 4-3. He is so quick and explosive coming out of his three point stance, it is scary. His play reminds me of Dwight Freeney. And at 6'4" 252lbs, he has great size.
  22. No, here's why he went to KC: $ and Power.
  23. Frankly, I'm a little surprised he made that decision. Word was his combine workout was going to solidify his status as a Top Ten pick. Although truthfully, he probably didn't want to get drafted by the Bills.
  24. I like the Bills to take looks at both Michael Clayton and Reggie Williams, while possibly taking another run at Bryant Johnson.
