  1. Friggin sweet. The Chris Cooley and Chris Chambers ones were tops. The only one of those commercials I've ever seen was the one where Braylon Edwards catches all those balls blind-folded.
  2. Use the tag? On who?
  3. Raji has shown the ability to penetrate the line and cause some hazoc in the backfield. I think he can fit in no problem. Playing next to Stroud can only help him. I'm not so high on Jerry, while his SEC pedigree is impressive he's had some durability issues and doesn't have great size. Raji on the other hand is massive and very powerful. Ultimately the Bills should be in a position to choose from a couple of top prospects with guys like Raji, Maualuga, Brown, and Pettigrew likely to still be on the board.
  4. Tie breaker is strength of schedule. Ours was easier.
  5. I agree, Troy never got a chance. He was supposed to have a chance to compete for the spot but nobody saw Flacco coming.
  6. First Unger, then Caldwell, now Wood. I guess the TBD Alex Mack mancrush is officially over.
  7. Mayock is the draft guru. He played some football at BC and in the NFL. He watches more tape than anyone and scouts these guys non-stop. He's spot on because he does his homework.
  8. Really? In LA?
  9. Vilma will re-sign with New Orleans. He played every snap on D and lead them in tackles. He wants to be back and they want him back. Of course I'd love him here, playing outside.
  10. Hi /dev/null, thank you for sharing. Refreshments will be available after the meeting.
  11. I'd love to see the Bills trade down if Orakpo is gone. I think if we move down a few spots and grab another second round pick we could still get Brown while grabbing both a TE and a OC in round two. But given the scenario you presented, I'd probably go with Brown.
  12. I'd best compare Pat White to Antoine Randel El: College QB, tremendous athlete and projects as an athlete in the draft. I see him playing some WR while throwing the ball on the occaisional trick play. I think White will get picked in the 6th round.
  13. The hope is that Orakpo falls to us, but it won't happen. Brown would be a good pick if Orakpo is gone. Jackson is a big dude and can stuff the run, but he's not a very good pass rusher. He's best suited to play in a 3-4. Pending FA and the Combine, if Orakpo isn't there at 11 I would like us to trade down to pick up a few more picks, then grab the best DE available.
  14. System quarterback. But all those passes he threw at Tech didn't just complete themselves. He's a decent QB who'll wind up a third stringer in this league.
  15. ... and da Bears.
  16. He runs a base 3-4 but there are all kinds of wrinkles in his scheme.
  17. Would be an absolute dream come true. Can you say, "top-5 defense"?
  18. Trent and the Bills better figure out the 3-4 soon because the Jets are going to try and duplicate what Baltimore does on D. Granted that's easier said then done, especially when you're talking about guys like Ed Reed and Ray Lewis. With genius Belichick, COY runner up Sparano and Ravens D-whiz Ryan coaching against our beloved and mild-manered Jauron, you have to be scared. I know I am. Jauron will be hard pressed to not go 0-6 in the division again. Maybe this will get Ralph to bring our coaching up to par with the rest of the division next year. Then again, maybe not. 19. There are vastly varying opinions on the centers. There is no clear-cut favourite, there is no consensus. Some like Mack, some like Unger and some like Caldwell. It's really a toss up and will probably hinge on two things: who puts up the best combine numbers and whose playing style fits a teams blocking scheme.
  20. First, that's funny. Second, a guy who fielded one of the worst defensive units in the NFL last year got a job as DC!? What!? I guess we're not the only team who rewards incompetence after all. Yay.
  21. We need a TE, but it is a reach. TEs don't usually go that high, save for Winslow. If we traded down to picks 17-22 then by all means. With guys like Maulauga, Orakpo, Brown, and Raji likely to be on the board still, I'd rather go with one of them.
  22. Our opinions differ, and it obviously won't change. What I'm saying is Jackson and Omon cannot get it done and our run game would be bad, allowing defense t key in on the WRs. We need both Lynch and Jackosn. I'm not denying Boldin's presence wouldn't bolster our offense, but the pros/cons of the trade of Lynch for Boldin favour Lynch in my honest opinion. I value RBs much higher than WRs. Pure and simple. So to answer your original thread question, "Would you trade Lynch for Boldin?" In a word: No.
  23. I believe games are won/lost in the trenches. I believe O-Lineman and D-Lineman are the most important guys on your team. A good DT next to Stroud makes our team nearly impossible to run on, look what happened in Minny when they landed Fat Pat and put him next to Kevin Williams. Best run D in the league. As for the Schobel thing, you're just speculating, he was exactly a world-beater before he went down and he's getting up in years. Kelsay just plain sucks. I don't like the value in the TEs, none are worth going above pick 20. A good one can be had in round two, that also happens to be the consensus around here. I said we should go DT if we sign a C and a DE like Suggs in FA. Please read the full post before replying. Thank you. I believe in drafting the best player available, not reaching for a need.
